  • In the face of opposition from Black Church Leaders to Gays demanding their Civil Rights, it is very fitting that Bayard Rustin is highlighted. Gay-Straight, Black-White, ALL played an integral role in the fight for Civil Rights. Now that Gays are seeking theirs, it is an insult to MLK, Rustin and others who stood UNITED! Every Black person should know the name Bayard, and so I support this move to give him his deserved recognition!

    Gays have always been around, and slavery is no exception.
