Oh man, I used to live on Blvd. East just past 60th. I miss WNY sooooooo much!! (Except for having to pay like $200/month to park the car in a garage!)
At 2:42, that's the Little League field to the left and back in the 60s/70s, the brothers who taught at St. Joe's called the building on the left (i.e., directly across from Memorial park)their home.
At 2:30, you pass the St. Joe's high school and what use to be Cor Jesu grammer school. I remember going to Sunday mass in the makeshift Church inside the St Joe's auditorium.
i stil cant bleave my mom moved us to g-berg i am always in wny anyways and on bergenline i konw every cop and everyone and my e.skool is #3 i grew up in wny
yeah that was my city growing up. Since 2000 my home"s been MIAMI but i still be thinking about WNY and NJ in general. plus there ain't no White Castle out here! "07093"
I really enjoyed my childhood there, great city and excellent people.. Hey 64will, I guess thats a favorite spot for burning up. That along with going down the cliffs.
Great stuff, WNYer. You passed my high school (St. Joe's) and stopped a block from my grammer school (#5). I played a lot of baseball at Memorial Park but both fields are gone now.
I'm a geezer. I graduated #5 in 1961 and St. Joe's in 1965. It was a great place to grow up then and from what I have read in the comments, it still is. Do you like Miami?
I wonder if a master's degree in Mechanical engineering would be enough to pay to live in a place like that??

Does anyone remember the old bathroom that use to be in Memorial field? It had one of those old style community urinals in the men's room.
