SPOILERS For example, in this video there is a LOT of talk about the whole story of the game, e.g. collectors attacking and Shepherd must go through the Omega 4 relay. Although crucially, it shows the Normandy blowing up with Shepherd drifting into space. That is a MASSIVE spoiler!

Legion's the one who's actually working for the Reapers. Look closely enough in his dialogue. According to Legion, the Geth who worship the Reapers are the 'Heretics' but why would those Geth with Religion be called 'Heretics'? Heretic sounds more like a label a Reaper worshiping Geth would give to those who do not worship the Reapers. In Legion's Loyalty Mission, you probably just went and wiped out the Geth who did not worship the Reapers

I am quite wrong to begin with. Maybe it was simply implanted into Legion's character by Bioware just in case he didn't become such a fan favorite. Since Bioware has since discovered that Legion is an extremely popular character, then Legion will of course stay loyal in Mass Effect 3... I actually expect a point where a Paragon Shepard might have to stand up against Legion's logic. A chance to either convince him down, or maybe Ashly will just shoot him like Wrex...
Okay, so in mass effect 2 you are fighting with cerberus, in me 3 the reapers invade and your against cerberus. now cerberus cant be working with the reapers we know that, so why arent they fighting with shepard. do i replay the campaign and blow up the ship at the end. i think i have been mind fucked -_-

@tidus814 Male Shepard is NOT Canon Shepard. It is only used as advertisement as putting up Female Shepard would be bad seeing as female characters as a lead makes games harder to sell. This was posted by the developers upon the ME boards. There is hardly any hard canon in ME because the story is what you make it. The only bits being true canon is Shepard being alive, finding the Reaper threat, being the first Human spectre, and trying to deal with the Reapers. Everything else is up to you.

I only came across it because someone on Gamefaqs posted. i finished my 3rd playthrough and i wasn't satisfied because i didn't want to cheat on ashley but my shepard couldn't wait...i thought: man, 35 hours of gameplay for nothing...then i watched this trailer and i got inspired for the 4th time :D
Super Epic trailer, why do we have to wait 9 months to see what becomes of shephard and the fallen, miranda vs ashley, the memory of the dead squadmates, the outcome of not taking that weapon!

@Ko252 Originality is not a factor. They're both the same character, and are therefore both original. The only difference is the gender, but Bioware is always showcasing Meer's Shepard in their trailers. Would like to see Hale's take on Shepard in some of the adds is all...
@FellFather I have to agree with Ko252. Although I would have worded it as "Standard Shepard". On character creation, the first thing they ask you is "Do you want to go with our Shepard, or build your own?" And once you choose "build my own", THAT is when you get to choose gender. The "Standard" Mass Effect experience is using a MaleShep with the appearance shown in the trailers. Though in my personal ME experience, FemShep is TrueShep =D

@tidus814 Male Shepard is NOT Canon Shepard. It is only used as advertisement as putting up Female Shepard would be bad seeing as female characters as a lead makes games harder to sell. This was posted by the developers upon the ME boards. There is hardly any hard canon in ME because the story is what you make it. The only bits being true canon is Shepard being alive, finding the Reaper threat, being the first Human spectre, and trying to deal with the Reapers. Everything else is up to you.

Not that I don't believe you, but I believe we need some more female leads in gaming now adays. Usually they're just the whole sterotype of females that we see. Shame really XDD.

@tidus814 I wish you luck finding it. Part of this information was posted way back when Mass Effect was made and again during the first month or so after Mass Effect 2 launched. I only came across it because someone on Gamefaqs posted. Not 100% sure, but I believe it was Casey Hudson who posted this information. ~Shrugs~ Either way, another good source for this material is the ME Wikia. They tend to link to articles.

@Ko252 Originality is not a factor. They're both the same character, and are therefore both original. The only difference is the gender, but Bioware is always showcasing Meer's Shepard in their trailers. Would like to see Hale's take on Shepard in some of the adds is all...

@FellFather I have to agree with Ko252. Although I would have worded it as "Standard Shepard". On character creation, the first thing they ask you is "Do you want to go with our Shepard, or build your own?" And once you choose "build my own", THAT is when you get to choose gender. The "Standard" Mass Effect experience is using a MaleShep with the appearance shown in the trailers. Though in my personal ME experience, FemShep is TrueShep =D

@FellFather =Bioware stated that in canon Shepard is male and he looks like he does in the trailers. So its his likeness in the comics and in the forthcoming movie (if Shepard is in it).
But noones saying people can't play as female or whatever. Just officially Shepard is a guy.

@dagks lol, Shepard was never 'originally' male. The original games came with equal options for both male and female Shepards. Yes, it makes sense to have one 'canon' Shepard on the box, but what's written on the box and what happens in game are usually two entirely different things. Having played as both male and female, your argument, AND your grammar, suck. As for female Shepard not 'fitting' the game, have you not noticed the most important entities in the Mass Effect galaxy are female?

@dagks I think you forgot the salarians as well. They're equally as important as the asari, seeing as they both sit on the council, and their females control the breeding, and therefore the salarian government. Salarian breeding is everything. For the record, calling me names isn't going to win any favours, and your grammar still sucks. You still forgot about the most important part of the argument, you cannot stick two characters on a box when you can only play one at a time.
