@fused2production yeah go to the apple developer account and sign up for a membership account. There is one that is free and one that you can pay for. Sign up for the free account and you will be able to download xcode from the apple developer website. Good luck

You can sort out the Missing Base SDK error by opening the project settings window at Project/Edit Project Settings and selecting a new 'Base SDK for All Configurations". I set mine to 'IOS simulator 4.0' and that did the trick. However I couldn't get it to work with 4.1, I don't know why
