  • Good write-up, It is actually a great and helpful piece of info. I heard anout lactobacillus acidophilus it would help clear up these infection.

  • I scored a 10min=66 15min=31 for my breath test..

  • I think a zinc copper imbalance might be a lot of the causes of gastritis.

  • colostrum!!!!!

    manaka honey.

    and no grains!!!!!

  • My Doctor prescribed me Clarithromycin 500mg 1tablet 2x a day & Amoxicillin 500mg 2 tablets 2x a day & Pantoprazole SOD 40mg 1 tablet a day, after i got diognosed with H Pylori is it normal that im feeling very bloated and my mouth feels weired , just trying to get a second opinion and is there anything else i can do ps any better food i can eat or I should avoid. THX

  • @ShDonika You are getting die off and perhaps releasing heavy metals which were bound to the harmful bacteria that are dying off. Consider taking Saccharomyces Boulardii - about 20 billion a day now and for a 2 months post-antibiotics. Also consider ProBiota 12 Powder and take 1/4 teaspoon after dinner. You need probiotics in you with these antibiotics. Research proves that Saccharomyces Boulardii increases the effectiveness of the triple antibiotic therapy. Take Vitamin C daily.

  • BTW, I read on your website that you have travelled to India. Well, I am from India originally and also have a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology just like you do :-)

  • Great Video! My endoscopy recently showed mild to moderate gastritis and there were a small number of H pylori seen. My doc has recommended Prevpac but I wanted to treat my gastritis naturally first and so I have been drinking cabbage juice for the past 2 weeks. My symptoms have improved a lot but should I be worried about the goitrogenic effects of cabbage? I want to take the juice for a few more weeks to heal my gastritis completely. I am also thinking of taking manuka honey.

  • @ppatward Great news ;) I wouldn't worry about the cabbage unless you are currently hypothyroid and quite severely. Manuka Honey is key - and so is the Saccharomyces Boulardii and ZCG 500. Since this video has come out, many are getting better - which is fantastic.

  • and ulcer?

  • @TheMrAlexrj Mentioned how to deal with the ulcer is in the video. Manuka honey, Saccharomyces Boulardii, cabbage juice, Probiota 12, L-glutamine, ZCG 500 and avoiding spicy foods, coffee, wheat, stress, aspirin. It works - well!

  • @crazyfogs absolutely!

  • can acid reflux be caused by h.pylori ?

  • @crazyfogs Tricky - but I don't think so. I believe acid reflux can bring in H pylori but not the other way around. Acid reflux brings in H Pylori because docs put people on antacids. This lowers stomach pH to 7 which is ineffective at killing pathogens like H pylori. You then are set up for bacterial invasion - H pylori is classic. Acid reflux is commonly caused by low stomach acid, eating too much, and grains. Avoid grains - try it and you'll be amazed. Wheat especially is bad news.

  • It is not ok to take saccharomyces boulardii long term. It is a beneficial yeast but long term it is not advised to take. I will find out the exact reason why. I heard it from an expert in probiotics who I trust completely. You'll hear back in a week or so why.

  • @DrBenLynch It is ok to take Saccharomyces Boulardii long term - just after being on it for 6 months, take a one to two months break and then you can restart.

  • You said to take Saccharomyces boulardii for only two months. Why is that? Is it safe to take for longer than two months?

  • @snakefood2k1 It is safe to take longer than two months. I was incorrect. I confirmed this with a specialist in probiotics.

  • You say to take Saccharomyces Boulardii with food but some other brands say to take it on an empty stomach? Does it really matter?

  • @snakefood2k1 Best to take probiotics with food to reduce damage or death to them by increased stomach acid.

  • @snakefood2k1 It matters yes. Where is bacteria and yeasts normally found? On food. Also you need to protect them against stomach acid and taken with food protects them from getting destroyed by stomach acid. These other brands are not owned by physicians ;) Seeking Health is - and I've read the research and discussed probiotics with the best microbiologists in the industry.

  • Several Naturopaths say NOT to take digestive enzymes be because it'll cause a persons body stop producing it's own enzymes, especially if taking the enzymes for months or years. I heard that some people decided to stop taking their enzymes after long term use, and they no longer could digest food on their own.

  • @kalkeikuu That is correct. People should not take digestive enzymes long term. People should not take antacids long term. People should not take thyroid meds long term. People should not take steroids long term. These are all abused. All of these should be used when needed and as long as it takes to help restore the body's normal function.

  • okay...thanks.

  • Comment removed

  • @snakefood2k1 Acid reflux has various causes - and one is low stomach acid. This happens because the food is not digested well causing the food to build up in the stomach vs going out into the small intestine easily. 'Back pressure.' If one has ample stomach acid, the foods are able to be broken down and the back pressure is reduced.

  • With the manuka honey, do you think the MGO quality rating is better than the UMF quality rating? Thanks

  • @snakefood2k1 To be honest, I don't know the difference. If you could enlighten us, that'd be great. I would make sure you evaluate each 'quality' rating and make sure there is not a 'company' behind one of them - could be simply a marketing tactic.

  • @DrBenLynch The UMF rating is used by many companies. The MGO rating is used only by one company. The maker behind the MGO rating is one of the pioneer's of researching manuka honey. His manuka honey is pretty much double the price...I can't find any reviews that compare the two.

  • Also, can you heal gastritis and kill h. pylori at the same time? For h. pylori, taking the probiotic Saccharomyces boulardii is really good enough? Thx

  • @snakefood2k1 You can definitely heal gastritis and kill H pylori at the same time. They go hand in hand. Saccharomyces boulardii is likely not enough to kill H pylori. I have not seen research that supports just using Saccharomyces boulardii. This is why I recommend Manuka Honey, ProBiota 12 Powder (200 billion bacteria per 1/2 teaspoon), Saccharomyces Boulardii, Gastric Repair Complex (with Bismuth) and Zinc Carnosine. Make sure to test outcome with urease breath test.

  • How long to take l-glutamine for until the gastritis is healed?

  • @snakefood2k1 Continue to take L-glutamine for as long as you feel symptoms of gastritis, leaky gut syndrome or have an inflammatory bowel disease. I sporadically take L-glutamine simply to keep fueling my enterocytes. There are certain foods which 'poke' holes in our intestines and stomach lining on a daily basis: gluten, tomatoes, pathogenic bacteria, alcohol - to name a few. Glutamine helps repair those 'holes'

  • I had all these problems (except for cholesterol). What works is colon cleanse, liver cleanse, and kidney cleanse. And then high carb, low fat vegan diet predominated by fresh raw fruit and veggies and some cooked whole grains like quinoa and buckwheat. All those supplements even apple cider are garbage. You dont need those things. Just eat natural foods like you are supposed to.

  • @HrapovikPlush Given that much of gastritis is caused by bacteria, it is necessary to kill those bacteria and re-establish beneficial bacteria and increase digestive enzymes. If you have gastritis caused by foods, then yes, simply changing your diet is enough. That is not what is discussed here. Obtaining health requires understanding and usage of all tools available. Food, lifestyle, supplementation and mindset are all essential to obtaining health. Being negative is not helping your health

  • @DrBenLynch What people dont understand is that the body heals itself if given a chance. All one needs to do is give a body a boost with adequate sleep, exercise, sunshine, and nutritious foods like raw organic fruits and vegetables. And the body will do the rest. Mastic Gum might help to kill H Pylori, but personally, I don't believe in garbage like healing Manuka Honey, Apple Cider Vinegar, L Glutamine supplements, DGL, etc. which have been extracted from whole foods.

  • @HrapovikPlush Totally agree with you about the sleep, exercise, etc. The body is impressive and heals impressively when given the right tools and right conditions. I understand and respect your beliefs about supplements. The research supporting these supplements is extensive and reliable. I encourage an open mind in this area as they may come in handy for you down the road.

  • @DrBenLynch Most supplements don't even work. The problem with supplements is that certain elements have been extracted from whole foods. In order for certain vitamin or mineral to be propely absorbed by small intestine, this vitamin and mineral must be obtained from whole foods. Certain supplements like folic acid and vitamin A can even cause cause. It's a no-brainer that whole foods can be absorbed a lot more effectively than some gel capsule with powder inside that was made in a lab.

  • @HrapovikPlush Again - I agree with you here. Many supplements do not work. This is why I created my own line of supplements as they are potent, pure and contain the active forms of nutrients. Example, folic acid in most supplements is 'garbage' as it needs to be the active 5-MTHF form of folate as many have a mutation in the MTHFR gene. You have to remember that anything in excess is potentially toxic and deadly - including water, salt, oxygen. Supplements have their place.

  • @DrBenLynch Sorry, but in today's world, people have to be smart about how to interpret the results of various research studies. I mean, just take a look at the dairy and meat industry -- scientists are paid to conduct studies that would favor those industries and expose the "benefits" of dairy and meat.

  • @HrapovikPlush Again, you are approaching everything with a one-sided slant. There is no absolute here. Yes, there are bad studies and there are plenty of great studies. Optimists live longer than pessimists.

  • @DrBenLynch Haha, I think it's funny how you automatically assume that I'm a pessimist. You don't even know me. I actually have a very optimistic approach on life. I just don't like it when hucksters try to sell people "health in a plastic bottle" for a very expensive price that they don't need. Once again, it doesn't make sense but it makes lots of dollars. To answer your question, I spend plenty of time outside in summer, spring, and fall to make sure I have enough vitamin D all year round.

  • I simply dont believe that taking whole foods extracting vitamins/minerals in a concentrated form and then selling it back to the consumer is health-promoting or moral. There is not a single vitamin/mineral that is contained in a supplement form that you can't find in whole foods. In addition to that, in order to absorb those nutrients, certain phytochemicals must be present which are dead or void in supplements. Doesn't make a lot of sense, but it makes lots of dollars.

  • @HrapovikPlush Given the nutrient depleted soils, toxic air and water and industrialized farming techniques and diluted organic standards, one cannot obtain all nutrients from food unless they grow and tend the soil themselves - which I am all for. My in-laws do it in Russia. Organic foods are great but still not potent enough at times. How do you get your vitamin D in the winter and fall? How do you knock out sticky thick mucous without N-acetyl cysteine? Supplementation here makes it easy.

  • @DrBenLynch How do I knock out sticky thick mucous? By avoiding all the mucous forming foods like dairy and by eating a raw vegan lifestyle with tons of vegetables and tons of fresh ripe raw fruits that are organic and in-season. I don't have any deficiencies according to my blood tests and I've been following this lifestyle for 5 years.

  • @HrapovikPlush Good luck with your health endeavors and lifestyle. I did happen to check past comments you've left for others and I must say they are far from friendly - so I feel I am wasting my effort in responding to you. If others see comments you've left on other videos, I'm sure they'll agree. Meanwhile, i'll continue to educate and inform those who desire to hear my perspective. Not all do and that is fine. Can't please everyone.

  • @DrBenLynch Yea, I'm sure you'll make tons of money on uneducated people who don't even need these supplements.

  • @HrapovikPlush I see you deleted your racial and condescending comments so others wouldn't see. That's a good thing as one was really uncalled for. I'm glad you removed it.

  • Dr. Ben, Thank you for this video. Could you please clarify which products to use once I have healed the gastritis in order to support/increase stomach acid production. Thank You

  • @tatiagal You're welcome for the video. PreGestion by Seeking Health is a stomach acid supplement which increases stomach acid passively. Take 1-2 capsules per meal. Don't take when you eat just a little bit - must be a meal. To increase stomach acid naturally, be calm when you eat as this relaxes the sphincters which releases digestive enzymes. Also thinking about lemons before eating increases stomach acid. Mix 1 T lemon juice & 1 T apple cider vinegar w/ 1/2 cup water in the AM. Sip slowly.

  • You are the one doctor I would have total confidence in.

  • @vseae15o Thank you for your compliment. It is great to hear. I'm working on getting more videos up shortly. My YouTube Channel that I will be posting on is DrBenLynch so keep an eye out. Be proactive out there. Docs don't like proactive patients but you need to be in order to get proper care. Best, Dr Ben

  • Hello, I just bought the L Glutamine and taurine from your website. I got the L Glutamine for my gastritis and taurine for my daily constipation. How will I take these and for how long?

  • @sheizzle89 Thank you for your order. It is appreciated. You always take Taurine with meals. Start with 2 capsules of Taurine at night. See how you do with that. If still constipated, then take 2 with lunch and 2 with dinner. For Glutamine, take between meals. Mix one scoop of L Glutamine by Seeking Health in a large glass of filtered water. Sip. Do again before bed. Also mix 1 scoop in your water bottle and drink throughout the day between meals. Take as long as you have symptoms. Both are safe

  • @healthegoods Is the Taurine only for constipation? I read on the site it is good to prevent heart complications. Also do you have any suggestions for diabetes

  • @sheizzle89 Taurine is excellent for heart health, liver, detoxification, mood and more. I have many suggestions for diabetes. Please schedule a consult with me at HealthE Goods and I'll be able to provide more information. In the meantime, Dr Michael Murray - a ND - has a great book on Diabetes.

  • Just found this supporting my discussion here: "U-M scientists found that antibiotics were the best way to kill the bacteria that cause gastritis and eliminate stomach inflammation in their experimental mice. Mice treated with prescription drugs called proton pump inhibitors or PPIs, which block acid production, acquired more bacteria and developed more inflammatory changes in their stomach linings than untreated mice." YET DOCS KEEP GIVING MEDS...WAKE UP DOCS. Take probiotics after antibiotics.

  • @SeekingHealthTV Hear hear.

  • I have gastritis and i get a lot bloating and stomach gas, how do I maintain this?

  • @sheizzle89 Likely you have low stomach acid and weak digestive enzyme secretion. You may also be reacting to the foods you are eating: eliminate wheat, tomatoes, coffee, spicey foods. I recommend you try three products by Seeking Health: PreGestion: take 1 with each meal. Pro-Digestion Intensive: 1 with each meal. ProBiota 12: 1 after dinner. Constipated or problem with fatty foods? Take 1 capsule Taurine at dinner first and with each main meal if needed. All available at SeekingHealth

  • @SeekingHealthTV Thanks for the quick replay.... I will look into those. Are those 100% natural. I am tired of taking drugs. Also I would feel like something is stuck in my throat. Also when my stomach gas gets too bad I kinda have shortness of breath. Do you know what all these mean?

  • @sheizzle89 I am a physician specializing in Environmental Medicine. This means I demand purity & effectiveness in my products as the people I see are sensitive to chemicals & have terrible digestion. So - yes. 100% natural and pure. Drugs have their place but they are way overused. It sounds like you may have acid reflux but you need to see a doctor to find out. Eat smaller meals, avoid foods I said and try the three supplements I suggested should help you a lot. Get a diagnosis by your doc.

  • @SeekingHealthTV Thanks again for you reply, I am spreading this video all over... I got an endosocopy done 2 months ago. the doctors told me i have gastritis and said everything else was fine. So I wondering if the gastritis is cashing the acid reflux? Also, i have hypothyroidism. Again thanks for all your help.

  • @sheizzle89 Glad you saw a doc. Important. Thanks for spreading this video! Yes, gastritis can mimic acid reflux issues. I recommend mixing 2 scoops of L Glutamine Powder by Seeking Health in a liter of filtered water. Sip throughout the day between meals. This helps heal the stomach lining. Hypothyroidism support: avoid plastics, canned food (BPA hypothyroid connection), avoid chlorine (use shower filter) & avoid wheat (attacks thyroid). Support adrenals with Ashwagandha & Optimal Multivitamin

  • H pylori damn near killed me. I struggled with atrial Fibrillation for 5 years, panic attacks, fatigue, and food intollerance. The massive amounts of cortisol and c reactive protein cause by the inflammation of of my stomach by h pylori cause all of this! I am thankful it made me sick enough to cause an ulcer and so it was finally detected and treated. HP Pac (prevpac) triple therapy failed. Just finished 2 weeks of quadrupal therapy, and am feeling so much better now. H pylori was a nightmare!

  • @surfboardhacker Great to hear you are feeling much better & you got rid of the H pylori! Make sure you take a potent probiotic after the Quadruple Therapy. I recommend ProBiota 12 Powder: 1/2 teaspoon after dinner until the bottle is gone. Then switch to ProBiota 12 capsules and take 1 after dinner to maintain. If you don't do this, H Pylori cand just come right on back. It's about prevention. Saccharomyces Boulardii supports Triple Therapy immensely and helps get rid of H Pylori.

  • @SeekingHealthTV Thanks for the advice, I just started eating probiotic organic yogurt and bought some acidophilus with bifidus and FOS to take too. My stools are finally starting to return to normal but the antibiotics really hurt my intestines. Hopefully they will heal up and become less painful as more time passes, but even with this I am feeling much better. Will confirm eradication shortly with breath test, but feeling much better than I did with triple therapy so I think I we got em :)

  • @surfboardhacker Glad you're feeling better. FYI: Probiotic yogurt is pretty much worthless. Need to take at least 25 billion of a multistrain probiotic to get any significant benefit. To heal your small intestines, add 2 scoops of L Glutamine Powder by Seeking Health to a liter of filtered water. Sip throughout the day between meals. L-Glutamine Powder provides the number one nutrient utilized by your enterocytes (small intestine cells). They get damaged from antibiotics. Repairing them is key.

  • @SeekingHealthTV

Im take 3 pills a day at the present 1 pill is 6 billion, so I will take 1 more a day which will put me close to your recommended 25 billion. I will look into the L Glutamine, as I know very little about it. I appreciate your advice. Thank you!

  • I have been suffering from acid reflux and gastritis for awhile. Lately I also have been using manuka honey sometimes 4 times a day because I am constantly getting gases. I also have hp pylori too. Am I taking too much manuka honey? How long does it take for the honey to heal me?

  • @quelita28 You get a diagnosis of H pylori? Manuka Honey will not get rid of it by itself. I also recommend Zinc Carnosine, Garlic, Saccharomyces Boulardii, L Glutamine. Triple Antibiotic Therapy may be needed as H Pylori is tough to kill. That's ok. Just make sure you take a probiotic during and after the antibiotic therapy. During Triple Therapy, consider taking Saccharomyces Boulardii by Seeking Health (2 capsules 2x/day) and 2 caps of ProBiota 12 after dinner. After, just use ProBiota 12
