When you're playing those chords at the beginning do you use your pinky on your picking hand? I trying to find a way to combine regular picking with finger style
@Sivaks9 ... I use the pinky finger of my plucking/strumming hand for playing chords, quite a lot. But, I only "rarely" use it when it comes to playing Hybrid style single-note lines. Hope this answer's your question somewhat. Take care.
It is a song called, "Not By Chance," off of my 2006 Smooth Jazz album. The album can be purchased off of my website (if you like it). The link to the PayPal shopping cart purchase page for that album is in the description box.
@dlz124 ... You are most welcome, It's my pleasure to help out as many folks as possible with these YouTube lessons! Glad to hear your positive feedback! Much appreciated.
You know I've never been in to jazz but this vid really got me interested and kicking around some 7th chords. Thats all you ask for in teaching, getting students interested and doing things they couldn't or didn't do before. Thanks Andrew.
These lessons should NOT be free... :-)

Love your sound man. Who said smooth jazz is dead? As long as we keep making "good smooth" it won't die.
