  • such a queer song. worship it, anyway

  • @jam4996,you are correct sir,Mr.Jerry Nolan to be exact.

  • @posthumanhero,sorry to hear 'bout your condition.

  • Its a bit of an aquired taste i guess, but you either like it or you dont. You either hear it and think thats cool or thats so sloppy. personaly I love it. The sloppier and more sleezy the better lol

  • checking out thunders/dolls stuff tonight because i always pushed it aside...perhaps with good reason methinks.......hard to wrap my mind around why so many people liked and still like this stuff..........bad singing and playing seems like something that wouldn't cut it normally......but some of it has a certain appeal nonetheless.

  • johnny was one of the best guitarist ever

  • hey! girls are not that bad!

  • ha ur dreaming to think he would have pulled that off junkie or no but he has the sinatra thing no dobt u got to hand it to some of the greats "I wanna be a pop star, like keith richards"-johnny thunders

  • AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!!! so fucking good. this is real.

  • is tht the drummer from the dolls

    Rest in Peace!

  • Jesus Christ that entrance from 2:22 on is awesome! fucken Genious

  • ineed girls and drugs

  • Oh this brings med back... I think one of the legandary lyrics later in this song was "Suck a d*ck a day, eat an apple and say; who needs girls"

  • doesnt really work without a keyboard

  • @MsGORGONS haha. that's why he made it his own

  • Now that's rocknroll. Great!

  • who was he playing for? crowd doesnt look to excited

  • the eptiome of COOL

  • the fact he was in love w/ the reverb is not a legend...

  • Who the fuck needs girls?

  • the song is called green onions anyways

  • Johnny Thunders forever!!! We love you Johnny T RIP

  • The bassline of "You Gotta Help Me" old blues tune.

  • Gracias..for sharing this

  • he's so cute

  • I like the out of tune bass!!!!

  • ermm its definetly jerry nolan on the drums not sure if rath is on bass but thats all i know

  • Who is the backing band here?

  • alright alot of punks like the dolls or thunders but johnny was rock and roll and was grooming himself to be a pop star. The troggs were easily the 1st punk band but i wasnt there so dont quote me! (shoot up or shut up) -just kidding!

  • no. johnny would have been undone if he would have went in to mainstream. he hated pop music and wanted nothing to do with it.

  • johnny i s the shit !!!!!!! he looks like a mini meof kif richards but beyond

  • Not the pretty boy he was in 1972. Heroin had already destroyed his beauty and charm by this time.

  • No, he still had his charm. And age destroyed his beauty, not heroin.

  • Actually, he lost much of his charm by the late seventies. And heroin certainly did destroy his looks. He looked like a junkie. You can be in denial about that, if you need to, but heroin does ruin people's looks, as well as everything else.

  • so incorrect

  • Who Me? I have been incorrect many times so it wouldn't surprise me but please elaborate.

  • That's what William Burroughs said, sort of, and look how long he lived.... lol. Anyway, this is wrong. However, as opiates don't do any direct tissue damage, it's most likely actually the junkie lifestyle, the constant strain of going through withdrawal, and the shit dope gets cut with that turns you into a hollow shell of what you once were...

  • LOVE THIS R.I.P JOHNNY

  • lol 82 the start of punk? im sure it was well befor that

  • punk started in the late 60's by bands like The Who, The Ramones, and The Stooges

  • haha no it never i would say it started over in englang with the clash and the sex pistols becuase even jt dident like been called punk and the ramones where in the 70s about 74 lol they also didnet consider them self punk at first

  • JT didn't like being called a punk rocker, but that doesn't mean he wasn't one.

  • you have a good point but i dont class him as punk hes alot differnt to what was going on with the punk sound at the time he had his own sound with is better than been labeld punk dont get me wrong i love punk and jt influenced so many bands in england at that time so lets just listen to his great music and not argue lol

  • If you don't like arguments, don't post fucking stupid, barely literate comments. "Punk" didn't start with a couple of bands in England getting the official label. If you think it has to be defined by a damned label then you have business speaking on the topic. Punk was around before those bands..and it was around with guys like Johnny T and the Ramones and others in the U.S.. Deal with it.

  • Malcolm Mclaron managed the New York Dolls, learned all he could about the punk rock culture that was in NYC at the time then went back to England and created the Pistols, the Clash came a little later.Whether the Ramones considered themselves Punk or not, they were. They were the founding Fathers.Ramones,Heartbreakers,

Voidoids even Debbie Harry in that scene,

  • yeh your right mate but i dont know english punk and american punk just seem differnt to me both great though

  • Oh, I'm not at all dicrediting the British influence on Punk, it wouldn't be PUNK without it. It all came together, different sects and styles in the same gene' with a simular messages. I love it all and you have the right idea, just enjoy. I think some of JTs solo stuff is absolutely incredible!

  • sex pistols? sick with it!

  • Stooges, Mc5....just saying lol

  • God, what a lame crowd...

    Still a great show though!

  • it was the beginning of punkrock, the crowd didn´t know anything about pogo :P

  • @ramonesacidpillsh What can you expect from a swedish crowd?

  • @musikfanat swedes are ok

  • @MsGORGONS It was a joke-Swedes are ok!

  • @musikfanat are swedes vegetables as well?? ah ah

  • @ramonesacidpillsh HAHAHA!!!! I was going to say the same. Buncha frozen zombies, they are.

  • @ramonesacidpillsh I's because it's on some swedish late night show and there's like a resturant down at the bottom

  • Johnny Great! Bass-the stagehand should have stopped for 30 sec. and tuned it!Still the greatest guitarist ever born.......
