cultures and traditions inside out to be able to acknowledge them, like even though i've never met this man and dont know him personally, i feel like showing him the up most respect . but yeah anyway, this biryani is making my mouth water and i cant wait to try it yummmmm!!!!!
parents, when they make the effort of speaking english, it does sound rude, because they havent got their wordings right but its just how it is and we get used to it. and like the users that commented here have said, his age, his status/royalty and the indian culture etc it contributes to his way of talking english. I'm just trying to keep the peace, cuz to be honest i did get a bit offended with some of the mean/ignorant comments here, but it aint nobodys fault as we dont know each others
I understand why people think that he is being rude or very stern or even too serious, in fact he isn't, you have to understand that English isn't his first language so some of his wordings and voice tones will sound quite rude to those who are fluent English communicators. Being an asian myself who was born and brought up in britain, i have experianced this many a times where a fellow asian mainly from the generation who had come to this country earlier on and hadnt studied here, like my own
@mahtaab tasted kabuli palau...it was delicious but nothing like this hyderabadi cuisine esp. the biryani n haleem they make from down south india...been there yummy food n culture
@slimfast67 So lets see you answer all those intricate questions about the food from your country of origin leave alone India's. Doesnt that sound good?
and this guy runs many educational institutes, from schools to colleges for masters and MBBS , engeneering and provide scholarships to deserved students and helps many people across the cities, he is a nice guy and respected very much all over
@sahirdonsocomeon , I totally agree with you. I found it pretty normal that chef speak this way and specially a person of that age. Only I find disturbing when people say that this language is better then other language. Every language and every culture has it way of showing respect.
@khanSherKhan hello there for your kind information this person is not a chef by profession he is nawab from hyderabad he is millionaire he is royalty from a nawab family of hyderabad, and he has passion for cooking.
@adonist7 : You ever seen Pulp Fiction? If you do, remember the scene, where John Travolta insists on Harvey Keitel to say please. Harvey replies "I'm not here to say please or thank you." When you know what you're doing right, you can omit the please and thank you, part.
@adonist7 ...yes he has...cz in subcontinent, elders talk to young ppl in this way...n the younger ppl considers it their obligation dt they dnt let elder ppl work in their presence...
@adonist7 Using please for everything is Western Culture. In our culture, we do not use Please. You just cannot make any kind of comments based upon your culture. We use please only if we need greater help from others.
@adonist7 Yes, that is a good observation but you see there is a cultural dynamic in play. First of all he is much older than Padma so he is not really required to say please, moreover this is a bit of a teacher and student setting where the teacher is not required to say please. This is culturally appropriate in India.

@mincuree
you need more schooling bro.
the word 'please' is built into Urdu like '' tum'' and ''app'' and 'mujhe do'' or mujhe dein''.
its does not need repetition every time but if you do use it and it is used by good mannered people it is better
