the 2nd gen does have 2gb model but apple release them too late. the 4th gen is the best shuffle ever. u can hear track title n artist, multiple playlist, plus it does support genius n itunes u as well. the clip is strong, buttons are easier to use, sound is great, battery lasts longer, n it also cheaper. i owned both 2nd n 4th gen juz like u but mine is both 2gb. n i still would say the 4th gen is the best

The 2nd is way better, cause you got the voice and you can lock and unlock, buttons are bigger, and 1GB, isn't that cool

yeah, there are some things which Apple does which is nice. Like, for example, as a zuner, I wish zunes had a retina display, but I have OLED instead. Now back to Apple, I think the main thing about the shuffle, it doesn't ned to be smaller, the nano - good luck adjusting anything without a microscope, and the I touch - face it, no matter what you do, all of the apps are the same. The camera, although, is a nice feature.

the EXACT thought process going through my head, i mean hello it is the 2nd gen. kind of reminds me of the 2nd and 4th gen nano's.
