I admire the BBC's nerve in making a miniseries of this novel- haven't seen it yet, but it looks like they pulled it off, so I shall try it! Thanks for putting this up.
What a tragic history.. not even a tragic LOVE stoty..i got this book from the library because i thought it was a love story like Jane Eyre and Tom Jonas-.-
This is a great trailer! Love this period drama I only recently discovered due to the BBC recent radio dramatisation. Sean Bean is excellent in this role. Sinister and evil, one keeps hoping Clarissa's pure soul will turn him around...
This movie is a must see. I really enjoyed it. I highly recommend it. Once you see it you will never forget it. I like the fact that she had morals, which alot of people are lacking today.
Nice trailer there. I remember this from years ago - I had all of it on VHS! My fave characters were her naughty bro and sister James and Bella. Pity they're not in your trailer, but its great nevertheless. Got it on DVD now - Still one of my favourites after all these years!
You did a very good job with those caption titles which explained the plot quite well. I loved this movie way back to 1992 when it was on PBS
Very compelling romantic tragedy Bean is the best thing in it he's such a rotter but fascinating his character Lord Lovelace is kind of sexual sociopath but somehow you are intrigued by him...poor Clarissa was so victimized by his stratagems
While I was watching this movie, I found myself believing everything Lovelace said right along with Clarissa, only to want to kick myself for being such an idiot the next minute. Sean Bean did an excellent job in this move; so charasmatic, yet so sinister.
You can rent it on Netflix they give new customers free 2 wks It is a 2 disc movie Blockbuster has it for 2 week trial as of January 2007 only $3.99 mo ADULT content brutal rape scene Sean Bean/Lord Lovelace wicked sexy rotten bad to the bone as "The Man You Love To Hate" Intrigue, obsession, treachery, thwarted romance and a sad ending, 3 hankie weepy
Music goes really well with this!
