I came here because of the NPR piece on this show today. I am not by any stretch of the imagination a fan of Islam; I have an "I will not submit" (in both Arabic and English) bumper sticker on my car. I'm also an atheist.

That said, I really enjoyed this show, and I look forward to watching more episodes. I always knew intellectually that there were Muslims who did not endorse the conservative/traditional view of Islam, but it's nice to see both sides are recognized. Its also quite funny.

And do they fast the whole month or just one day in the month? I didn't know what Ramadan was till recently really, so I wanted to learn about it.

Curry rocks! I can make yellow curry with chicken but I haven't made the brown curry like Fatima made, I think I've had it though, but without goat. Japanese and Taiwan curry's really good too.

I was introduced to this show by a friend who grew up in a Muslim and Catholic household, and I'm Christian, and our mutual friend is Jewish and we all love this show. It's funny and a good family show and I think it's great that people of any religion can enjoy it. I'm glad to see Islam being portrayed positively on tv!!
