In June of 2010 Panama increased the VAT / Sales tax by 40% from 5-7%. This effects the working class the hardest. As well, Panama has a very poor public education system that is a total shame. The lack of investment in education infrastructure, an educated population, will be the biggest problem in the future. Too bad, because the people of Panama are wonderful and it's a fantastic country ... despite the gov't. That said there is low unemployment and not a large number of starving poor.
jajajaja! he did not lower the taxes, he increas them for the working class ,and here he say that he lower it to the bussiness!! and his goverment is gear for bussiness that will ensure his fortune and thoes around him! Panama's economy is all about construccion !! no produccion!
