got a question about the carb..... if my 05 yfz is idleing good but at about 35%-80% throttle it is bogging and seems to not be geting enough gas should i adjust the carb or is it something diff? i have a HMF full exhaust with a aftermarket airbox that has no lid((suppost to have no lid.....)). is it jetting or as simple as a carb tune???

hi, i have another question, but ist about jetting, my piston broke and bent my crank rod because of running to lean, i order the big bore piston and going to bore my cylinder, 478cc, atm ive got 42 pilot and 158 main, have my air/fuel mixture screw 2 turns out...so i have a rossier exhaust and a stock airfilter and might get the k&n but no lid....would you have any idea what jets i would need? ohh and its mostly 40 degrees celcuis where i ride...thanks

i have a 2006 yfz450 i put a dyno jet kit in it i put the pilot accelerator and main in but when i put the after-market needle in it spits and sputters i did everything in the directions please help
Ok, i have a Full FMF exhaust, k&n filter, Cam mod, and a couple other minor mods, my low end bogs VERY bad, what jets should i be running, there is jets in it but iam not satisfied! Anyone info would be awsome!!
if you have a bog, you need to get a number 35 leak jet (accelerator jet) its on the bottom of the bowl. and search "zip tie mod" it will help too. the bog is a problem in the accelerator pump, but the main jets need to be right too.
quick shot accelarator pump fixes it completly. zero bog. just bought one for my brothers yfz 450. still cant beat my trx though. give him points for trying every day though
yea man that yfz bog sucks. if anyone out there has that dead spot down low when you stab the throttle thats the yfz bog. its a known problem. you just gotta roll into the throttle smoother rather than stab the throttle.
i have gytr slip on, no airbox with stock filter, gytr jets, it was supposedly jetted before i got it, but has little hesitation if i hit it real quick and has been popping pretty good on decel. any suggestions on which jets to try. it runs good and everything, starts right up no problem just think its got more, and know it shouldn't be popping so bad, pops more that the baffle blew out of the pipe. and feel like it has lost little power since that happened.
The hesitation you feel is the imfamous YFZ Bog. Go to yfzcentral(dot)com and join their forum.. Best info for a YFZ hands down. Look up the Zip Tie Mod there, it will cure most of the hesitation.
ron woods is really good but just about any kind of aftermarket pipe is gonna open it up with the 450s but if ur gonna get an exhaust it helps to get an intake upgrade too so it kinda evens it out like a k&n power kit or somethin like that but i cant remember wut size stock yfzs are runnin but it shouldnt b hard to find out

i have a stock carb. can i just do what u showed in the video and put a 170 main jet in and go, or will i need to make some other adjustments.

@Deansvideos123 you might need to re-jet, or your cam shaft isn't correct making the ratio of gas and air disproportional

haha thats a half ass jetting best way is to put in fuel mixture screw, needle clip, piliot jet, and main jet.
