  • My goodness! What a talented player! I love how expressive your playing is, and you obviously understand Chopin. It's awesome, isn't it? I'm also playing this piece, and it's this piece that made me get that Chopin really really wrote for the piano, and wrote for the mechanism of our hands. I would advise that you mind the balance in the thematic sections, just to make sure that there is clear definition between the melody, chords and bass (melody > bass line > chords).

    Please keep playing!

  • so much power and beauty behind it! best version from a female i've ever heard.

  • damn i don't know why i watch video's like this when they just make me feel like such a shite pianist in comparison

  • Wow! so beautiful!

  • dang she is good, im only 15. I finished playing the song, but im not as fluent as she.

and imma gonna be 16 in like a month :(

  • sexy feet

  • She hot and young and sexy..best of the this ballade she played is beautiful...

  • Great! This is one of Chopin's most difficult! People don't play it because of the coda. You were amazing!

  • awesome!!!! i heard this guy at ACSI musicale and he did it really well too...you are very expressive with your music!! way to go!

  • FINALLY! someone who can express Chopin like he was meant to! Your interpretation completely owns Massimiliano Ferrati's version! whereas he plays it too loud and fast and completely destroys it by ploughing through the entire piece, you played it tastefully. it was excellent!! It's good to hear it finally played with some feeling and expression. im really impressed. well done.

  • arthur rubinstein did a good one too

  • Mayumi! You perform this Ballad so amazingly well. It is great to see this video up here. Keep up the great work! See you around :).

  • A few things...but...yeah...wonderful!

  • what "few things?"

  • ...mainly tempo. I think people call it "style" anyway ^^

  • oh i see. yeah i've heard tons of recordings and each one is SO different tempo and style wise.........

it's not a very good competition piece either

  • wonderful.

    thx.
