  • I saw one of these at R&M auctions this year!

  • Jaguar needs to bring back the 1966 car and Revive it

  • 1:28 is that Tony Soprano helping him to park the Jag ?!?

  • Are those headlights factory or have they been retrofitted with Q45 projectors?

  • @fasthonda 90% sure that it has been retrofitted.

  • ! dolla ! dolla

  • This thing don't look like it's street legal. And that's AWESOME!

  • I think it would look better without the spoiler

  • where in the world is this ...hollywood boulevard or somthing

  • @adztegb18c Canon Drive, in Beverly Hills :)

  • what a beautiful car

  • KEEP THE LIKES AT 220!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • HAHA FUCK those Ferrari and lambos! He got a JAGUAR XJ220 ! Not just a car you would see around a highway.

  • Saw this car at Laguna Seca earlier this year made the Veyron it was sitting next to look tame. Great video man!

  • What an incredible machine. Thanks for sharing. Hearing the guy driving grind reverse made me rather upset though...

  • I recongnized Rodeo Drive !!!

  • Literally just seen this on pistonheads as it's about to go up for auction. But I didn't look for it on here........

  • I would win against this car in a 0.25 mile dragrace ... (with speed-bumps)

  • I'd take this over an enzo.

  • @MrHappyGoFunTime anyday!

  • amazing

  • I saw that car driving on the 101N right by the 110fwy interchange. Seriously badass machine right there.

  • This is fake. Its a remote controlled model. If you look closely you can see the antenna. The street is obviously a 1/10th scale backdrop with fake people too.

  • @hcelentano Hahaha, you caught me! :P

  • @CarsandCoffeeIrvine wtf? how do you tell?

  • @carlielong21 LOL, this is real, this dude was just making a joke and I was being sarcastic by going with it.

  • @hcelentano I thought you were serious for at least three minutes... I feel dumb...

  • @hcelentano umm i think this is real lmao

  • Nice car, but the taillights look a little bit cheap to me...

  • lmao

the xj220 was so loud that it scared off another car's alarm :D

  • Make me laugh when people come on here and start spouting shit bird comment like 'there was over 220 of the jag xj 220 built, hence the name'. Do some research. It's called the XJ220 for the speed. Although it never done 220, it only ever got to 217, it was it's intented speed. The car in the video is the XJ220S. Note the S is in caps, the name of the car is XJ220S. It was a XJ220C for the road, the XJ220C was the racing version, and it was build by TWR and is what the XJ220 should of been.

  • @jaxx831 Thank you for your insight! :D

  • @jaxx831 finally someone who knows their shit on here. Thank you for showing me that there are people out there who dont think they know everything but rather actually know what theyre talking about

  • @jaxx831 actually the 220 was the max allowed weight of the driver doe to the zirconium multi phasic quartz racing suspension.since the car was originally designed for racing and had a v6,they made the suspension super light(only 100 lbs for the car!!) and had strict passenger weight limits.

    sorry to burst your bubble..

  • @SHARKREEF2011 Lets talk about 'bursting my bubble' shall we. First of all the car was suppose to have the quad cam 6.2 V12, it was only ment to be a concept car, not even a racer but after british motor show (I think) to many people asked about it. TWR looked into building it and found if the put the twin turbo V6 in it and made it 2 wheel drive then can keep the weight down and it should hit the 220MPH. Now if you think I am wrong please link where you got your info from.

  • @jaxx831 absolutly wrong.the original designer,Phineas McBabbit III,had a severe weight problem(chronic Bangers and Mash habit)he was obsessed with keeping the weight down,in this Jag,& so he designed the special zirconium, quartz suspension system.this ,in turn, required that the driver and passenger,NOT be over 220 english lbs.sadly to say,Phineas choked to death on a "King George Special Bangers and Mash " breakfast,& so his design was used, but the credit went to the other designers.

  • @SHARKREEF2011 This is the last response I'm going to give you as I don't want to drag myself down to your level. Once again you give no links to your info and I'm not sure if you are just trying to have a laugh! Anyway, even Top Gear have said the '220' points to the speed of the car if you go look at their web site. The XJ220 is now 20 years old and there is a little write up on it.

  • @jaxx831 its hard to admit that all your work is for naught.Still thanks to the dedicated work of people like myself, unsung heros of the you tube comments world, the truth gets out.now i hearh that the original inventer of the xj220 is going to retroactively change the designation to the xj440 since he currently is very fat due to a massive bangers and mash addiction.so if u own a xj220 you can paint over the 220 with stencils given freely from jaguar..

  • There are definitely more than 5 in the world.

  • @diesel5355 Yes, more than 5 XJ220s, but this is a special edition model XJ220S. There's a big difference between the two.

  • @RobbGriffith Ah yes, I love these types of comments. Your horrible generalization is similar to saying that there are only 7 Bugatti Veyrons because there are only 7 letters in the word "Bugatti." This is an XJ220S, which is a limited edition variant of the XJ220. There's a big difference. Let me stick to the production numbers, you just enjoy the video, shit bird ;)

  • @CarsandCoffeeIrvine AHAHAHAHAHAHAAH TELL THAT FUCKER:P!! i also like the fact that he said MORE the 220 were made and thays why its called the 220... wouldn't they call it the 220+ if they made more than 220

  • @RobbGriffith XJ220 as in 220mph? Shit bird!

  • @RobbGriffith

TWR developed a further 6 XJ220S, built in carbon composite and with a higher state of tune at 680 bhp (507 kW; 689 PS). These were essentially road-going versions of the XJ220C racer. That is what this is not a standard XJ.

  • @RobbGriffith It was called 220 after the projected topspeed, not the amount produced... They initially planned to produce 220 cars but they reconsidered when the preorders came in at 300+.

  • @RobbGriffith You are really dumb. The xj220 is called like that because it was supposed to reach 220 mph although it only reached 217. Get your facts right.

  • that lambo looks like a econobox next to the jaguar

  • the real wonder is that it actually works :D reliability was never amongst its values

  • that thing looks better than sex

  • Ahh the things I would do to have this car. Unspeakable things. Horrible, unforgivable things!

  • This place is mad. Too many RR's and Merc's

  • All the driver needs now is a Batman costume

  • That is such an amazing car, youre lucky to spot one. The rarest car I have ever seen is a 1 of 4 Ferrari F50 painted in Argento Nuburgring (sp?) which is silver.

  • @mrSarcastic1984 Wow, I'm even more jealous of you!

  • @CarsandCoffeeIrvine Never thought I would make a cali guy jealous about a spotting made in Illinois lol

  • @mrSarcastic1984 Do NOT underestimate Illinois! I went there a month ago and in the service area of a dealer saw a... Maserati MC12 Corsa, Ferrari Enzo, Ferrari F50, Aston Martin DBAR1, Ferrari Dayton Spider, etc. etc. Chicago is also pretty wild for cars, too!

  • @CarsandCoffeeIrvine Which dealer was this?

  • @mrSarcastic1984 Lake Forest Sports Cars

  • @CarsandCoffeeIrvine Thought so! When you mentioned the MC12 Corsa, I figured thats the place. Thats where I saw the silver F50, at their concours event. You weren't at the Concours were you????

  • I guess Batman lost his car

  • don't these have like a V6 engine?

  • @m311296 Indeed, a twin turbo V6 :D

  • that lambo looked just so ordinary next to the jag.

  • Rare

  • Was this the one on sale at the Pasadena Rusnak? Just repainted to matte grey?

  • super super

  • Instant boner...

3:00 dude could you PLEASE send me this shot?

I really would love to have this as wallpaper.

  • @ADadasadasdadw Of course, PM me you email first! :)

  • @CarsandCoffeeIrvine Me too please? I will love you forever!! haha

  • was this the car maxamillion cooper did the gumball in?

  • @SamWhyman1 Nope, he has a 'normal' XJ220. This is an XJ220S. However, paint is similar to Mr. Cooper's.

  • @CarsandCoffeeIrvine sorry my bad, didn't read the title properly, this cars inspiring for sure. Is it just a vinyl wrap?

  • @SamWhyman1 Surprisingly this is genuine paint, no wraps here! :D

  • I love the XJ220... I remember getting a Maisto XJ220 model car in green for Christmas when I was a little kid. So it is one of the first super/hyper cars I fell in love with.

I'm just curious, did the XJ220S come with the matte black exterior or did the owner do that himself?

  • @PaintedW0LF It was originally a gloss black and the owner had it repainted to matte grey. Nonetheless, it looks pretty sweet!

  • Hell, I'd take that long, and have 3 spotters with that car.

  • why did jaguar stop producing this kind of car? stop making concept till the end of the world

  • Lmfao I love how the guy needs a spotter to parallel park while using his hazard lights too. If I had the money to buy the damn thing, I'm pretty sure I'd have the money to fix a little bumper bend or tire scuff. What a egotistic bastard.

  • @kittenswithketchup Ahahaha... So what you're saying is that you'd rather screw up this incredible car than take the extra minute to park it properly? And egotistic, do you even know how to use that word properly? Good thing people like you don't have these, or else these priceless pieces of engineering would go to crap!

  • @CarsandCoffeeIrvine No, I'm saying that if you're rich enough to buy the damn thing, you're rich enough to fix it. I'm a full-on car guy. I live and breathe everything cars, but cars are meant to be driven, not tucked away in a garage because some guy with a tiny dick and cash flying out his ass has an ego the size of Texas. That extra time to "park it properly" is probably pissing off the other drivers. If you own a car like that, you should know how to drive it and park it without a spotter.

  • @kittenswithketchup You have completely contradictory statements. If you were a "full-on car guy," you'd rather take the extra time to park the car rather than scuff it up a bunch. Another point is that if you were a "full-on car guy" you would know how hard it is to drive these in city traffic, let alone parallel park it. Plus, this isn't a garage queen, it's seen regularly around California. Please get out of here.

  • @CarsandCoffeeIrvine Ok, so why the hell would he drive it around in the middle of a city if he cares so much about it? Yeah, I'd care about it if it was mine, but I'm not rich. All I'm saying is that he takes so long to park it, yet he's already risking damage to it by taking it into a city. Also, @Scott99Prelude, what is with people like you feeling the need to call someone a dumbass for simply stating their opinion? I haven't said one single thing like that to anyone else, have I? No.

  • @kittenswithketchup Alright sir, you need to take an argument/debate class...

First we have "but cars are meant to be driven, not tucked away in a garage," and now you say "why the hell would he drive it around in the middle of a city if he cares so much about it?"

Also, Scott99Prelude has an opinion on your opinion, I believe that that's a legal gesture.

Please quit crying and try to make a somewhat valid "argument."

  • @CarsandCoffeeIrvine I only said CITY, not anywhere. If I cared that much, I'd drive it somewhere a lot less crowded.

  • @kittenswithketchup You backed yourself into a corner, while providing me and others some quality entertainment. Your "argument" no longer has any value and I'd appreciate it if you moved along before I have to block you. Thanks for the comments and watching the video!

  • @kittenswithketchup and people like you wouldnt own one. this cars worth 3x whatever youd make in a lifetime easily. ide rather take the time as well, dumbass

  • they made 281 on these not 5. they made 5 of the race ones which was the xj220c

  • @Super03terminator Nah, only 5 XJ220Ss were ever made. The original may have been more widely produced, but I am sure that there were only 5 of these.

  • @Super03terminator the s is a tuned version by TWR

  • rarerest car in the world still has some squeky brakes huh?

  • @connertofu1 Nope, in fact the opposite. This has carbon ceramic brakes, which are some of the best in the world, and tend to squeak when they aren't warmed up (by driving the car a lot).

  • When is the next time this car is going to Cars and Coffee in Irvine?

  • @MyLakers101 Most likely never, it will probably have a new owner in the next coming weeks/months and may or may not be driven at all unfortunately. Only time will tell. :(

  • @CarsandCoffeeIrvine Wow, looking at this car is ver, very rare. Thanks man for posting u p this video and letting me know that this was in Irvine. And I just wanted to say whats the streets name in Irvine?

  • @MyLakers101 Thanks for the comments! And this actually wasn't in Irvine, it was photographed in Beverly Hills on Canon Street.

  • @CarsandCoffeeIrvine No problem, Oh thats a very wealthy city.

  • Wow. Newfound love for the xj220. That thing is sexy. Too bad the original ones were so terribly hated. I saw the videos of people finding xj220 abandoned in the desert. Wtf

  • wow those ferraris in the picture suddenly seem insignificant...

  • WoooooW...O___O

    Maaaan, Lucky you!!!!

This cars is SUPER RARE!!!! I wish I could see one in real life.

Also, the driver did really well at parking the car, I can't imagine how mush ist worth nowadays!

Thanks for the clear video! ;-)

  • the vanquish reminds me a bit of this car. i think the xj220 should have been like this from the beginnning

  • The Q45 projectors actually look tasteful.

  • Got 6 of these at home.

  • I've never heard of an XJ220S..

  • @HDzeen Well now you have :)

If you're trying to say that this is fake, it isn't. Go do some research and come back. Jaguar only made 5, and they're oddly scattered throughout the world, so it's a pretty low-key car.

  • @CarsandCoffeeIrvine They made at least 500 of them. they had to to make it a production car. And it was the fastest production car from 91 to like 02-03 or something

  • @KrotchPuncha Yep, the regular XJ220. However, this is the XJ220S, 1 of 5 ever built. It's essentially a modified XJ220.

  • @KrotchPuncha no it was the fastest until the McLaren F1, which was 93 or 94

  • Beautiful car. While I can understand being very careful with parking such a long and rare car, I have to admit it makes me doubt the skill of the driver. IMO you should be a great driver in order to be allowed to own one of these. Otherwise it's just a waste.

  • @jawehawk The driver did a pretty good job parking it. The visibility of the car is next to nothing, the clutch is VERY hard to handle, and parallel parking a car of this magnitude is nearly impossible. Before you say that, I encourage you to parallel park this, with busy traffic coming, in less than 3 minutes.

  • @CarsandCoffeeIrvine That clears it up. Hell, I would't even dare driving such a car in the city :D.

Are you the owner of this beauty? If you are, you're lucky as hell.

  • @CarsandCoffeeIrvine Sorry, after reading the discription, I understand you aren't the owner. Still lucky that you have witnessed such beauty.

  • I just like the lambo, 2 ferraris and a rolls in the background being ignored.

  • Absolutely gorgeous car! And to those that are bitching and moaning about the parking job: Really? I'd rather take "3 hours" to park the car and do it right than tear ass into the spot and take a chance of damaging the car. FFS... Remember this isn't your friggin Hyundai that you're parking in your driveway.

  • @ilangsfs Thanks a lot... Some people these days are wastes of space!

  • i wouldnt care if the interior was made from hot glued toothpicks and shoe strings i think its bad ass

  • lambo also. SICK ROLLS ROYCE AT 1:45!!!!!

  • did someone call batman??

  • @MrAnaki

I "met" two (!) XJ220 in Berlin (blue and green). The owner told me it's very very difficult to park this beast...

BTW: IMO the normal version (in blue!) looks better

    watch?v=0h2Ed-rnPOY&t=0m34s

  • @MrAnaki no shit eh!!

  • Fuck ya. I saw that car driving on the 405N in LA. It was sick.

  • Thankx for making an awesome video of my favorite jaguar love it

  • As much as I like Jaguar's, the XJ220 has the worst, cheapest & tackiest interior of them all. Cheap Ford switches adorn the doors and console, on a car with this price tag I would expect titanium switches or some other exclusive metal not plastic. This one might be different, but the one I sat in back in 1999 was not impressive.

  • @DingleZilla No worries, this is much better. I think it has suede, leather and carbon fiber bits if I remember correctly.

  • @CarsandCoffeeIrvine, Thanks for your reply, I wasn't sure what reception my comment would get! The outside is so gorgeous it doesn't need anything except in this case a character transformation, I am glad the transformation included a serious interior upgrade.

  • @DingleZilla

To add to that, it has rear lights from rovers 90 - 95 model R8 series (200 - 400)

  • @DingleZilla what are u talking about guys??,this is not supposed to be luxurious, but fast, nothing else, this aint no fucking porsche

  • Hi Proxo20, Correct on one thing, "it aint no fucking Porshe". Wrong on the rest of your argument. Luxury = Fine high quality fitments & or premium fixtures & or high end features & or extraordinary abilities. Fast it may be, but for the sky high cost of £200,000? £300,000? £500,000 or more it simply does not have the quality of switchgear one would expect for the money! Ford Mondeo switches my arse, the price of these cars should scream CUSTOM MADE quality switches not BARGAIN BASEMENT!

  • @MrAnaki Good one, sir. Quite original with that comment! For real though, do you know how hard it is to drive these, let alone parallel park it??

  • @CarsandCoffeeIrvine actually not hard at all it has four wheels and a steering wheel after all its just a car not some sort of space ship lmfao

  • @caput2454 It also costs upwards of $500,000, has a thing we call a "clutch" and the visibility is pretty much zero. In short, it's not JUST a car. :)

  • most xj220's look like shit that doesnt

  • How much is it worth?

  • @Thisizmyname Not 100% sure, wanna say anywhere between $500,000 and $700,000.

  • This must be the most beautiful car... oh i'm sorry, the most beautiful thing i have ever seen

  • Amazing car the matte colour looks fucking amazing. Hands down best XJ220 I have ever seen.

  • sick car... I love the led lights

  • Out of all those sexy cars in the vid,,, I`d still take the JAG...

  • Used about $70 fuel parking the thing lol

  • wtf is this street?... bentley ferrari lambo?? dudez wtf

  • @WootKeny It was shot on Canon Drive, right next to the famed Rodeo Drive, in Beverly Hills, CA.

  • great i just watched a million dollar car sit in fucking traffic...great video

  • @ttolmbrftttwtbopat Great, some asshole who doesn't have a brain commented on my video.

  • Probably worth millions. Nice find, oh and one more thing; What are the numbers on this thing?

  • This was in the May Heavy Hitters Car Magizene

  • im more attracted to the red Lamborghini beside it :)

  • Yo I gotta go to work... does he end up getting it parked?

  • dont dont wana a hater but its not that rare the are 281 made of dis car...

  • @ikkeaxel How about you do some research first? This is a very rare, limited edition, track version of the XJ220. It's called the XJ220S TWR, and there are only 5 made.

  • @CarsandCoffeeIrvine This was my dream car, I saw one 2 years ago but this colour is the best, really nice find man, thanks, would still take an xj over any other car even today :)

  • I seen one in the jaguar dealers in liverpool

  • I'm confused?how is this even close to as fast as a vector w8

  • @JohnnyReddable Twin Turbo-ed + lightweight = rocket ship.

  • That car is for sale now. I saw it at a shop on sunset blvd, across the street from the hustler store. I think they are asking like 500k or just below. Wish I had the cake :) It's an S type too. I mention this as some people keep refferring to the xj220 in these comments. this car is way faster than the reg edition 220. also it looks like it has new exhaust in it, from what I can tell from the video and the car i saw the other night.

  • darth vaders company car

  • I just looked in a new magazine that had the Lamborghini Aventador featured in it with the specs as well. Top speed said 217 mph (claimed). That reminded me of the XJ220's speed of 217 mph back in '92, which really made me realize how legendary these cars are, especially this one! BTW, this car actually does around 228 mph from what I've read.

  • Is it just me.. this car looks like catfish . .

  • Bring back the XJ220 and kill the bugatti and SSC Ultimate Aero.

  • 0:30 to 0:35 you can hear a car alarm probably set off by the XJ220's sound lol....I've seen a Lamborghini Diablo do that before with a couple of parked cars about 50 metres away

  • Featured in Heavy Hitters Magazine May edition

  • Those who doubt the driving skills, try to 3 step a $50k car (that isnt yours)while it is trying to go where gravity wants it to. Then try to do it in a $500k car. Then drive this one.

  • @bonesvette Hahahaha good call :D

  • Two questions. Is it the New Style out there in the land of fruits and nuts?

Wouldn't it make it SLOWER with the matte paint?

  • @neil10451 It would be safe to say matte paint is taking over and I'm not sure about the specs of it but I would say it helps aerodynamics if anything, but once again I'm not sure so I could be wrong.

  • @CarsandCoffeeIrvine Matte paint theoritically WOULD make a car go slower, as the friction of the air is much higher.. Matte paint is not slick like normal paint, so the air gets caught up in it's grain. But that being said, i seriously doubt that a monster of a car like this even notices that!! X^D

  • @kostasviper Ahh, very interesting, didn't know that!

  • @neil10451 I'm sure that there is a difference, up or down in performance, but you would only notice it in a lab. In real situations the paint makes too little difference to notice.

  • You know I would believe that it is very hard to drive. Also guys in Cali don't really have to parallel park that often. So I SHOULD have said he can't PARK. Either way, Very nice car. That XJ220S was/is fantastic, What I don't get is why the matte paint and the Kit Car looks.

  • @neil10451 Also keep in mind that these were already outrageous looking, I think there's one in orange or something crazy like that. This car is also used to promote a bodywork shop that specializes in matte paint, so this is supposed to look crazier than anything, and it really holds the love it or hate it title.

    Also thanks for subbing!

  • Nice car done to look like a damn KIT CAR. And that guy can't drive worth a fuck.

  • @neil10451 That's your opinion, but the guy can in fact drive. It doesn't look like it, but this car is ridiculously hard to drive.
