  • What should I eat before and after workouts? Also for breakfast and dinner?

  • I know that this is one of the best workouts thats around. I went from 240 pounds to 196 pounds doing this type of workout. Its really not about the weight though. Its about being healthy. So we must eat right along with this workout.

  • i just began with my diet and exercise but i could only get through 10 minutes of cardio. im really out of shape

  • Good session although i wouldn't have my clients doing 2 sets of bench press-ups followed by 2 sets of dips as triceps exercises need to be accompanied by bicep exercises.......so maybe pull-ups would have been more appropriate but otherwise good instruction

  • 20 minutes jogging might be a bit difficult for the beginners but you can always do variations of exercises including walk, brisk walk, jog or specific warm-up drills. The whole point in doing 20 minutes jogging is to elevate the heart rate up to the fat burning zone before moving in to the main workout. Remeber that within the first 20 minutes you mosly use energy from the food in body, and the fat burning process starts after the 20 minutes.

  • ive been doing a very similar outdoor workout and it is effective, the added bonus is, its free & you get fresh air, the only downside is the weather can make it a misery often, but at the end of the day its much better than being a couch potato.

    I;m a girl and this is what I saw

    1. Great genetics

    2.Work your ass off at the gym day after day changing up the routine with weight training only. and I mean doing 7 -9 exercises with 6 sets each and reps. WOrking the muscle till failure or going beyond the pain. I dont think your capable of doing that.

    3.training week after week, month after month, year after year decades after decades.

  • I think a 5min warmup run, followed by the strength training they did, then a longer run would be more effective at burning more fat and less muscle.

    Doing strength after cardio can mean muscle catabolism.

  • Need some help. I want to no if it is ok to do 2 cardio sessions a day ? I am 6'1 and 249 pounds. I am intaking about 1,400 calories a day. My Goal is to get to 180. I usually try to burn about 700 calories on the elliptical or tredmill a session.

  • try lifting weight too. and you could do more than just one. if you have the time go for it.

  • You can def. do cardio twice a day, but make sure to listen to your body. If you are exhausted the next day or moody, that is a sign that you are overtraining. Also, be careful to not eat too little calories. Thats a good way to store fat. A person of your stature should have a bit more calories than you are eating. I'm 5'4 125 lbs and I eat 13,00. Keep up the hard work and dedication. : )

  • when you are running, jogging, your hands should be lightly gripped as if holding an active grenade (lol) and your thumbs should not touch your waist but swing level to them. and try to open up your stride but not to full capacity.

  • @listen2watidontsay 20 minutes of daily cardio is the standard for fat loss. You can do plyometrics for 20 minutes or interval train for 20 minutes. Its 20 minutes to 60 minutes a day. minimum is 20.

  • @12Judah12 minimum for fat loss may be 20 (i actually dont know) but i do know that the minimum time exercise to do a day is 60 mins. that doesnt just mean cardio though:)

  • @t0ml91 It is what people call the prelude, if you want to, make it 10 minutes of jogging. You will feel when your body starts warming up, that's when to start the actual workout.

  • Its not healthy.. at 13 you should let your body develop naturally.. if you eat right and exercise right then you'll be fine, losing 2lb a week is more healthy and sustainable in the long run..

  • You can, if you starve and let your body eat your muscle...not a smart idea. At 13 years old and being a gymnast, you should know better.

  • you shouldn't do it in two weeks, no matter how you do it, because it's probably going to be a crash diet...the right way to lose weight is to lose, like, they said earlier, about 2 lbs. per week...your body has like, an internal stable system, and if you lsoe the weight fast, it'll think your body's out of wack, and your body will do whatever it can to get that weight back to what it thinks is normal...so lose weight over time : ) Anatomy and Physiology class ftw

  • You have lost 11 lbs / 5 kg in 2 weeks? I hope you mean months :). If it's within two weeks most of it are probably water because for every 1 gram of carbohydrates stored in your liver and muscle your body will hold 3 gram of water. In any case a good rate to shoot for is 0.5 kg or 2 lbs / week, which mean around 500 kcal less calories /day when you need to just hold your weight. If you lose weight faster you risk losing muscle.

  • I had a trainer whos in her 50s; she'd make me and my gf do ridiculous but effective things at the park for exercise ex. duckwalks with and pushups (supersets). She even borrowed a woman's twin toddlers to sit on our backs while we did military style pushups! so what those girls in the videos did was nothing! :)

  • But then if you had looked like one of the guys in say 24h ghetto workout or whatever the videos are called I doubt they would had laughed. I saw you was only 16 but try to not care about 12 year olds =P, or do it something less public / later in the day / ..

  • Some of the videos of this kind contain people doing their workouts in small, uhm, "stations" just built in some park or along a jogging path or similair, I know back in the days a friend of mine told me there was one where he lived. I guess something like that wouldn't be so intimidating since 1) It's built for it 2) It's in the forrest (in his case...) 3) You could bring friends if that makes it feel safer.

    Or you could just go to a gym =P

  • the aorkout in between actually doesnt burn any fat. fat burned is based on how much wieght you carry for how long of a distance. this is for getting your muscles toned but not for fat burning. god youd think a diet website would get that part right.

  • It's not easy so dont be so tough on yourself. The best advice given to me when I first started running was to go as slowly as you can. It's the minutes spent running that's more important rather than how far you go. Take it slowly, which will build up your cadio-vascular system. You can develop speed later on.
