that commander was not very good. he let the vikings get surrounded so ofc u'd lose. if it were me i would have done the turtle (need some good army) and shield all around with a scout outside the turtle to say when to charge. that way, they can't break in from the sides or above and we'd be grouped so we can go through the middle. archers get into position, scouts flank. spears and axemen engage with the buddy system 2v1 when they can help it.

@IceCoolG4mes LOL. Chap; you do realise the difficulty involved in getting a group of random people to follow formations as simple as a line? Besides; turtle formations do not work in Warband - ever.
