Kill Em All is my favorite followed by Master of Puppets followed by Ride the Lightning. Those are my top 3.

i think the st anger had some good riffs on it, it was messy but i liked it

then we had a bit of a disaster with LOAD and RELOAD one or two good songs from there at best. St anger as i previously said was a good album, some really nice music on that. Death Magnetic has a few good tracks such as THAT WAS JUST YOUR LIFE and ALL NIGHTMARE LONG again not as good as some of their past efforts but still good.

However my favourite album would have to be either Ride the Lightning or MOP

Some good points there. However i do like St Anger im sorry i like some of the songs on the album especially the vocals. Kill em All was a hit and miss album some amazing songs like Whiplash and Seek and Destroy and some good songs and some average songs. Ride the Lightning and MOP were as you said amazing albums they had the right mix of heavy metal and other great songs like Fade to Black. Justice, was good really continuing where metallica left off. The black album was good mix i felt.

yea i agree with most of this, ride the lightning is definetly their best album, while saint anger is complete garbage, but i have to say i would give death magnetic more than a 6/10. while it defietly isnt up to par with ride the lightning or MOP, it is definetly better than the black album

I gotta say I much prefer Metallica's newer albuns to their older ones. Except for St. Anger, that album sucked.

Actually my favourite album would be Black Album followed by Reload and Death Magnetic.

Both albums had a country feel to it. Load was definitly like a country song, and Hero of the Day is another good example. Hell so is Unforgiven 2. Sure they may be okay songs, But they are a VERY different sound and its like listening to country music. Load was garbage becaese of that. You asked me for my reasons why I didnt like the albums, and I told you. So dont try to argue with an opinion, you only lose.

Alright. About Load and ReLoad, I dont listen to country music. And about St. Anger, probably the most repatative piece of crap (and the damn snare drum sounds like hes hitting a piece of steel). And Death Magnetic still is not as good as their thrash from the 80s.

Black album broke the chain of awesome 'tallica albums. Fortunatley Load came along and changed that and Metallica once again made one great album after the other up to the realese of st anger.

Ugh. I didnt like Load at all. I think after Master Of Puppets, Metallica slowly got worse and worse. And Justice for all, Black album was worse then that, and Load was worse then that, and ReLoad was worse then that, St. Anger was WAY worse then that, but at least Death Magnetic was a step up.

It doesnt suck, its just people dislike it because it was Metallica going to the mainstream scene. It was softer and just didnt sound like Metallica anymore.

im going to have to dissagree with you on this one. Death Magnetic was an amazing album as they went back to their roots with it. And you can hear it too. Judas Kiss has that Sad But True quality, The End of the Line has that Ride The Lightning feel, All Nightmare Long is basically the sequel to Enter Sandman. My Apocolypse has that, dare I say, St. Anger roughness but more polished and it doesnt suck. Death Magnetic was a success to me.

Death Magnetic was a good start and has some decent songs on it but they are far from what they have done. They need to try to recreate the 80s greatness (none of that Black Album shit) and try to see if they can get back to where they once were. But with Death Magnetic I will say they are heading in the right direction.

I really liked death magnetic. I thought it some of the songs were really well put together. (all nightmare long, Unforgiven III , the day that never comes ).

Master of Puppets, and Justice for all and Ride the Lightning is the top 3 best albums by Metallica IMO.

Death Magnetic is really good I think I just do not care for most of the vocals on it but they are better than what james did on st anger.... lol

good reviews up until 7:04.... wtf are you talking about??? 5th album?? and all 4 metallica albums are thrash. i think i know what you meant though, KEA is raw, straight up thrash while the trilogy is more darker, atmospheric, deep thrash, KEA is much more immature and fun and less serious.

haha i was only jokin, of course i know what the black album is, though i'm ashamed to admit i do. i can proudly say i've only listened to it a handful of times and theres a few songs on it that i cant even remember how they go. load & reload i wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole. death magnetic had potential but in order for them to truly make another good thrash record james needs to bring back his empowering thrash vocals, not the southern country rock vocals he's been using since the 90's.
