I think generations and generations of people will ALWAYS laugh and blush and become both a little bit jealous AND turned on by that lake scene... >fanning self<
OMG WHAT A WONDERFUL COLLECTION OF FINE BRITISH ACTORS. THIS IS HEAVEN TO WATCH. TALENT LIKE THIS IS RARE, ALMOST EXTINCT, NOWADAYS. WHAT A TREAT OF SOUND AND VISION.
Correction: another deservedly forgotten British "Best Picture" nominee. It lost out in the Imperial Nostalgia sweepstakes to "Out of Africa," in which Robert Redford made a saint out of the flyer who in real life was actually the man who gave the gift of syphilis to Karen Bliksen.
thank you so much for uploading this!! it's my favorite Helena Bonham Carter movie and i don't have it on DVD yet, and i couldn't find it anywhere else online so this is amazing!!! :D
Great film! This group of good-natured people can handle love issues just fine. They look like angels in a victorian age (is it victorian?) defying their own beliefs for the sake of love. Julian Sands has a whining voice and a strongly built body, which is perfect for a boy who is going to break the armor of civility and be loved by everybody in the end.
"You DO love (me/us), little thing!", hah ha. Oh dear god I panicked like a mad woman when I couldn't find this here. I actually cried when I didn't find it by parts, but I cried tears of joy when you put them all together. This is one of my favorite stories, films and dream sequences of all time. Thank you so much!
@AnnieBanana978 you and i have identical souls :) i remember when it was split into parts and i made it into a playlist, then one day it was gone :o but then i saw it put together. you can't imagine my elation :)
Big thank you! I have heard this film for so long time. Finally !

Oh, joy, yet another deservedly forgotten British "Best Picture." The sun never sets on Anglophilia in the Motion Picture Academy.

Julian Sands is so dreamy in this movie. I would die if someone kissed me like that *swoon*.
