I was shocked when I saw his behavior on the show. Someone who truly believes they have class and sophistication would never have to fall to such deplorable behavior. We all display certain behaviors because we get some kind of pay off. His self esteem has to be low and he must view himself very small, or he would never have had to seek the kind of pay off that comes from demeaning someone else.

NIce to be sorry AFTER you see what the public reaction is to what you've done... Had nobody said anything this guy would have just gone about his life and not felt one bit of remorse for any of it. The only remorse he feels is for what he's done to himself, not for the harm he caused others. Hopefully the authorities will monitor the situation to see if his children should be removed from the home, but he's probably already damaged them beyond reclaimation.

i think that the apology was a good and rather big step for him to take, although i seriously hope that it was sincere!
hence, i feel that as much as his BEHAVIOUR that had been broadcast was disagreeable, perhaps we should quit with the hatred over him..?

Like I said in another post, his kids are learning from him how to treat people. What a great contribution to this country. Putting yourself on a pedestal won't get you any sympathy. The wonderful thing about this country is our freedom of speech. I found Fowler appalling however I defend his right to say what he said. I also defend the right for others to call him on his remarks.
Although I do not agree with going to Fowler's home to throw eggs and the death threats, I do agree with calling him or sending letters giving one's opinion on his behavior.
