@HTankGlory Yeah, it's song 14 from the original Half-Life, not HL2 - I used GCFScape to extract it from the game's sound files. I think it's called Sirens in the Distance - have I got that right? - and is definitely one of the creepiest tracks in the entire series imo.

It's a machinima, really, a sort of fan fiction film, I guess - so instead of just charging through the game, I'm trying to play it more for (hopefully) atmosphere and suspense (the Half-Lifes are pretty varied in pace and mood and intensity anyway, I think) - so I'm trying to 'act' as if it were a real-life situation, or as if the game had no checkpoints or quicksaves, and death meant the game really was over.

Hi, I have played FEAR (and Extraction Point), and watched a lot of the Japanese horror films that inspired those games, but it was only when viewers started posting comments on the similarities that I (finally!) noticed the resemblance. I can see why, although I was a little annoyed at first, tbh, because it wasn't a deliberate copy or rip-off - it never occurred to me while making the video (although I remember thinking of Robert Blake's 'Mystery Man' in the David Lynch film, Lost Highway).
