Obama has spent the largest amount in US$ on negative ads in the history of the US. He tells his followers on a campaign trail "to get in their faces." A knife-wielding man robbed a McCain-Palin campaign volunteer and etched a B into her face after he saw a McCain bumper sticker on the womans car, Pittsburgh police said. He continued to kick and punch her repeatedly and said he would teach her a lesson for supporting John McCain," police said. Why Obama?
Obama has a cheeseburger plan. He is offering $1.95 more a day in middle class tax cuts than McCains plan. The 1.95 is Obama throwing happy meals at the mass of citizens. At the same time, Obama will increase taxes on job creation capital investments. He will move money from a productivity pool to a consumption pool. McCain will reduce taxes on job creation capital investments. If you want more McDonald jobs then vote for Obama. If you want more Boeing jobs then vote for McCain.
The question to the middle class is, Do you want to have a minuscule tax cut, or do you want to have a job? If you want the former, vote for Obama. If you want the latter, vote for McCain.
Obama wants to tax everything under the sun. Thats how democrats operate. Need to raise money? Tax the people. Weve seen how well that worked for Kwami in Detroit. The population has dwindled as people and businesses move out of the highly taxed city into the suburbs or out of state.
The lies being spouted about Obama are extreme. If you believe the source of those lies then you are likely to feel strong emotions towards Obama (regardless of racial prejudice and other contributing factors). Obama's ability to remain calm and focused in the midst of this storm is truly amazing, and worthy of respect in itself. And no, that is not Obamamania. It is a recognition of exceptional character and of the sort of person that I for one would want to see as our next president.
The only good thing about this crisis is that The American style Capitalism is dead. It's a kind of funny that John McCain wants government to buy the rotten Sub Prime Morgages. Isn't that a kind of socialism????
Republicans insisted we needed regulations on who received loans MULTIPLE TIMES. Democrats were not concerned. No wonder we are in economic crisis! Democrats gave loans to anyone with a pulse!
In a crisis, John McCain has shown that he will panic, suspend his campaign, try to hide from reporters on the issue as he has no answers, ask George Bush for advice, have no sway with either party, cancel his debate, go to the debate anyway, resume his campaign again with no deal reached, and then give the people responsible for creating the crisis 700 Billion Dollars of taxpayer money.

Statement of Senator Obama on Moving Financial Legislation Forward
by Amanda ScottTuesday, September 30, 2008 at 05:51 AM
Senator Obama just issued this statement on moving the Financial Legislation forward...
Yesterday, within the course of a few hours, the failure to pass the economic rescue plan in Washington led to the single largest decline of the stock market in two decades.
Back when Clinton was in office, he signed the bill forcing banks to manke BAD LOANS to BAD CANDIDATES (people with no income, no jobs, no assets).
Fast forward 15 years to 2008, and obviously bad candidate lendees are not paying back the loans, so you and i are. Republicans insisted we needed regulations on who received loans MULTIPLE TIMES.
TOP 14 Recipients of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Campaign Contributions, 1989-2008 : Dodd, Christopher $165,400 Obama, Barack 126,349 Kerry, John 111,000 Bennett, Robert 107,999 Bachus, Spencer 103,300 Blunt, Roy 96,950 Kanjorski,Paul 96,000 Bond, Christopher 95,400 Shelby, Richard 80,000 Reed, Jack 78,250 Reid, Harry 77,000 Clinton, Hillary 76,050 Davis, Tom 75,499 Boehner, John 67,750 Conrad, Kent 64,491
Sarah Palin is not capable of answering even simple questions about the economy or international issues. She barely got through college taking 6 years and 6 different schools just to obtain her bachelors degree in journalism from the University of Idaho. Did you see her appalling interviews with Charles Gibson and Katie Couric? John McCain is so desperate that he had to try to lure women voters and appease the far right "christians". What a disgrace - John McCain should he ashamed of himself.

An economy that is in the toilet... An expensive war that was sold to us on a lie... A president that is dumb as hell... The world hates us Americans... North Korea is still making nukes... Afghanistan is still a dangerous mess... Russia's going back to the cold war era... 700 billion of our tax money to bail out the rich... ANYONE WHO VOTES REPUBLICAN AT THIS POINT WANTS AMERICA TO DIE! WAKE UP PEOPLE! WHY VOTE FOR THE SAME PARTY THAT PUT US IN THIS MESS WE ARE NOW! REPUBLICANS FOR OBAMA 2008!
Actually, if it weren't for McCain, many Republicans would not be voting for the bill. Because of McCain, the Republicans confidently were able to get insurance promises added to the bill to reduce the risk to the taxpayer. The House Republican leadership said they were grateful for his input and his calls to members over the weekend. He will get some credit for helping make this deal happen.
News: McCain/Palin voluntary suspended their campaign so that McCain could be committed to nursing home, and Palin could go back to nursing her child she forgot about.
YOU IDIOT...AND REPUBLICANS WARNED THEM OVER 3 YEARS AGO
watch?v=_EvmtaBTkMY
THIS IS NO JOKE...OBAMA WAS NOT SUPPOSE TO WEAR THE BRACELET...YOU CAN HEAR THE FATHER TALK AT THIS VIDEO...OBAMA BASICALLY RAPED ONE OF OUR SOLDIERS ON NATIONAL TV.
Franklin Raines was ousted as CEO of Fannie Mae due to a $6.3 billion accounting scandal in 2004. Raines later became an economic adviser to Sen. Obama in his run for the presidency. The motive behind Raines' accounting scandal was to line his own pockets. Fannie Mae had built in incentives for executives. The incentives were tied to Earnings Per Share (EPS) targets. So, Raines "cooked the books" to make Fannie Mae appear that the institution was financially sound.
Why are former CEOs of Fannie Mae and Obama advisers Franklin Raines & CEO James Johnson not being investigated for fraud? They cooked their books just as Enron execs, but for much larger sums of money. Speak out!
That sound sreally sexist, biut mccain chose palin oONLY to secure the housewife vote, as did obama chose biden for experience. It aint about who's best, just popularity.
Obama is the most liberal Democratic candidate in U.S. history. He will not unite America but divide it. He wants to transform America into a socialist state. Furthermore, he knows nothing about the military or foreign affairs. Our country would be at risk with him in the White House. Vote McCain/Palin!
foreign policy is John McCain's home field. The fact that Barack Obama held off John McCain as well as he did, shows that he is not as inept in foreign relations as republicans would like to think.
Therefore, I declare the winner of the first debate to be:
Obama delivered an excellent, cool minded debate. He was clear on his answers and provided solutions to the issues at hand. He answered all the questions with respect; and even walked over to meet with Cindy and John after the debate.
McCain resorted to the same old mud slinging and same rhetoric that has destroyed America for the past 8 years.
The Democrats are to blame for this current economic meltdown. They have ties to high executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Bush is not the one who created this mess! And now we are all going to pay for it.
I mean there's only the fact that the republicans have been in charge for 6 of the last eight years, that John McCain led them in the effort to deregulate the market, which caused the corruption that led to the crisis, that McCain's chief campaign advisor is a former Freddie lawyer, who pressured republicans to push for deregulation.
[CSSGA wrote: John McCain led them in the effort to deregulate the market which caused the corruption that led to the crisis]
WRONG. There are THOUSANDS of industries and MILLIONS of companies that are not regulated. Dereg is nothing more than govt returning control of a private-sector company back to its executives. Dereg should't be confused with "oversight"; the assurance that dereg companies remain ethical and operate legally by using govt watchdogs.
[CSSGA wrote: John McCain led them in the effort to deregulate the market, which caused the corruption that led to the crisis]
Merely deregulating a company doesn't cause or prevent unethical and criminal behavior. The govt is heavily regulated, and look at how many officials are charged and jailed. It is oversight that contributes to catching and prosecuting them. Govt in general hates oversight (especially on themselves). McCain is a huge proponent of oversight as is Palin.
[CSSGA wrote: You're right, this is the democrats fault.]
In many ways it is. By nature, the Democratic party favors "more for the poor" management of fund and funding sources. The housing and mortgage crash is a result of loose lending practices pushed-through by the likes of B. Frank, C. Dodd, B. Clinton, etc. Both Bush and McCain introduced legislation to tighten-down, or at least to have oversight on, lending practices. Dems shot their proposals down. It's recorded history. Sorry.
PALIN: Ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health care reform that is needed to help shore up the economy- Oh, it's got to be about job creation too. So health care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions
How is some senile idiot who doesn't know how many homes he has expected to know what's best for the common, working-class American? Funny how he suddenly decided to push CHANGE at his convention....where did he get that concept from? 100% insincere: John McCain.
What did Obama do to help with this bailout? Well he made sure that he added a $100 MILLION earmark to go to the group he use to work for, ACORN. SO it seems that all Obama did was make sure his friends get paid with this bailout plan. ACORN is a left wing, anti-american organization, which members of it have been indicted for voter fraud. Who defended those indicted in court? Your messiah Obama.
Mr. Obama isn't serious enough about terrorism & free markets. I worry about his out-of-touchness with the people who, he says, cling to guns and religion because of frustration & anger. I worry about a worldview that may have been shaped in part by a spiritual mentor who damns America in church & thinks the government invented the AIDS virus to kill blacks. Mr. Obama's over-intellectualizing will get lost in a maze of thoughts & fail to be decisive when
Everyone in the country should know that this mess is the result of Democrat-engineered, government-mandated affirmative action lending. Stingy bankers don't willing give mortgages to the unqualified. Get real. Let's be honest and spread the word. Your future depends on it.
Hes senator for Louisiana and hasnt done anything for that state, except for raising taxes.Hes going to do the exact same for America,All he talks about is CHANGE CHANGE CHANGE.He doesn't how hes going to do these changes.
REPUBLICANS for Obama Biden in Ohio, michigan, nevada, pennsylvani, north carolina, we are having a great time working for this great man. Thank you to his mother and to his grandparents for a man of great character. God Bless Barack Obama
Yeah..Obama is ready to lead...He'll be standing on a stage masterdebating himself instead of doing what he was elected to -- to be a part of the fix for this mess instead of grandstanding behind a podium.
Obama has a history of not making tough decisisons and by masterdebating & pretending he is muliti-tasking he can avoid this one.
It's all about me...it's all about him..it's all about being Obama and not a congressman!
CAN WE SAY FANNIE MAE/MAC, RAINS, JOHNSON, on YOUR STAFF OBAMA
Who ever believes this bullshit is very very dumb. Leadership, Experience. What about Palin?! She does not have either. And if McCain was elected there is a very big chance he could die in office... and then Palin would be president. Think about that
Sure play your fav game while the New World Order does it job, hope you are one of the 5% of the world pop left?

NO, to philibuster this Bill because the democrats want to help the american taxpayers and surprise surprise..The republicans are not even showing up for the Bill because it wont give shareholders COMPLETE control over the markets.
Your going to use what barney frank says. He is the chairman of the finace committee. He is supposed to oversee and watch out for stuff like this good job he did. I guess he was to busy chasing high school boy aged interns around the office again. As for the debate I dont think McCain is worried about that its a debate on foriegn policy. Not exactly Obabma's strongest area
Obama would do anything just to put his face on tv. McCain wants to postpone the debates so he can fix this economy. Obama refused. Its all over the news.
we can all Debate issues issues issues... but YOUTUBE is for the people. Just make a video and Youtube raises awareness! So why does the barackObamdotcom channel disallows
bipartisan comments and video responses... WHY? Because they can? is that a sign of an elitist? what is that channel avoiding? hiding? open Debate?
It's been proven by the Energy Information Administration that additional drilling won't reduce gas prices much at all, only by 1 cent for that matter. And to even get any of the benefits will take 20 or so years, 6-7 years just to get ready for the drilling, and about 10 years to get the oil, and process it. It's bit late then to start talking about drilling now is it?
I'm just so glad I don't have to support everyone anymore and buy houses for all the irresponsible idots that can't understand mortgage papers. They get free homes and all the young'ins get to pay, just like the democrats are asking be added to the current bill. Don't you wish they'd give you a free home? I'll be happy if Obama wins, since I'll no longer pay taxes $and I'll be getting my check! Now, get to work you socialists! This is what you wanted, being all altruistic and all.
I believe Obama's financier Soros is behind the Wall Street mess. They wanted to ensure we were forced into the first step of complete socialism. You Obamabots should be sipping champaign right now like he is. This was all supposed to happen so he could run on "I'm the government, and I'm here to take care of you". That's what he wants...You want it to. Just admit it and be happy about the bailouts. It's the first, necessary step toward full blown socialism.
Obamabots have no clue what you're in for if Obama wins. You actually think socialism improves prosperity do you? The rest of the world is abandoning it you fools. Get over your "I want something for nothing" mentality. It won't work. Get ready to work three times harder just to keep up with supporting the HUGE numbers of us retiring in the next couple of years. Taxes will be too much to every allow you to acquire any wealth. Just as it should be, right? Everyone with the same, NOTHING! YIPPIE!
Gov. Palin is taking a crash course in foreign affairs and is so afraid of failing the exam, she really should just go back home to Alaska and feast her eyes on Russia, that's enough foreign experience she has and will ever need after her team is defeated in Nov.
"Under the pressure of the financial crisis, one presidential candidate is behaving like a flustered rookie playing in a league too high. It is not Barack Obama."
Obama talks like a used car salesman who got lost on his way to the lot. He still hasn't explained what his "Change" is. The Dems wanted change and voted in their congress. Do you like the change they gave us? Outrageous fuel prices, the mortgage crisis.
This is America, and we shouldn't have bail out Fran and Freddy. Let the Dem let congress, the CEO's and all their lobbyist bail them out. Get a Federal investigation going on these people. Enron did less and some are serving time.
fuck mccain hes desperate, if your under 30 and you vote for this guys your an idiot! Its that simple, so if you are way to go idiot. We all are laughing at you.
Today the McCain camp continues it's moratorium on reality by attacking the media for reporting some basic facts:
Namely, the FACT that RICK DAVIS, McCain's campaign manager worked for 5 YEARS AS A LOBBYIST FOR FANNIE MAE. Ouch.
But even more damning is McCain's CHIEF ECONOMIC ADVISOR Phil Graham. Not just the 'whining' comment, but his wholesale deregulation of the financial industry.
BarackObamaDotCom Channel on youtube is closed to open debate. and "across the aisle comments". Only Pro-Obama comments are posted. Whats the strategy there? When Michelle Obama appears on a TV interview, a "what to ask and what not to ask" itinerary is sent to the interviewer prior...
John McCain's Chief of Staff is GAY. What a hypocrite! Mark Buse needs to celebrate his human rights. Stop Lying to us, MCCAIN! Corruption, Corruption, Corruption!
John McCain foresaw the Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae disaster in 2006 — and tried against all Obama-Like minds to ward it off.
John McCain urged the passage of the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005 (S.190)(109th), which he co-sponsored and which was rendered Dead in Congress. "If Congress doesn't act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that F. Mae and F. Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system, and the economy as a whole"
LIB Corruption: Check this Out: When Republicans get caught breaking the law they resign in shame. Excpt for Larry Craig. ZerObama and his drunk DC insider buddy
So according to you, if black power can propel a cannon ball 10 miles, then according to your logic, an ICBM should be able to propel a nuclear warhead over 10,000 miles.
Why don't we just make our territorial waters to meet the range of a 10,000 mile ICBM.
Do you see the madness in this? Like the Moon and Space, the oceans belong to everyone.
12 miles...even 50 miles (since NYC dumps their garbage at about that range into the ocean) should be far more then sufficient.
From what I have heard (and I'll try to find a source), John McCain's tax plan is the most costly part of his plan. The problem? He says he will reduce spending. He hasn't defined exactly where he will cut it, but he says he will, even with the Iraq War in progress and a multi-billion dollar federal bailout. In order to keep the economy AS IS, he would have to cut spending down to what we were spending in the 50s. Tell me how he plans to do that, and I'll be impressed.
you can keep lying about how ur gonna change this country by bombing obama about taxes, taxes, taxes, and all that but at least he will do the thing that OUR country really needs, and thats find alternative fuel!
Matt...When you get older you will realize you don't find ALTERNATIVE FUEL...you have to make it. It isn't in the ground or growing on trees..and it doesn't exist yet so you have to drill now to stop the economic bleed. It will be 20 years before enough infastructure can be bulit for solar/wind/or whatever they dream up.
Obama isn't going do a fraction of what he says. Everything he says is 10 years from now...always after his potential 2 terms are up...wonder why? He won't be accountable.
They didnt let capitalism and the free market work, and thus you are seeing what happens in a socialist society - financial disarray, and more poor people.
September 2008 will be remembered as the time when socialism really took hold of this country. There is a reason the politicians are running for the hills and hiding - because they are the proponents and the ones who are at fault for the current mess we are in. Their finger prints are all over this the problem. We arent the ones at fault here; we werent the ones in charge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, etc.
What would it take to convince somebody like a Michael Bloomberg to run against McCain - Obama? I don't care so much about him joining a ticket, but leading a ticket. Somebody with both successful business/economic and executive experience.
All those stupid reasons would be brought up for reasons not to vote for him: old, womanizer. Dems wouldn't like his fiscal conservative views. Repubs wouldn't like his socially liberal views. In other words; the best of both parties.
"For Palin fans,American exceptionalism doesn't extend to Americans being exceptional. If you're educated, have knowledge of history & world events..then you somehow are "giving the finger to the Statue of Liberty" -Dowd-
I don't want a Pres who thinks Iraq and Pakistan share a border.

The press reports that Bush put Treasury Secretary Paulson's proposal on the table without any provisions or changes.
Obama was pushed very hard, but it was him that added provisions for increased oversight,
relief for homeowners facing foreclosure and limits on executive compensation for chief executives of firms that receive government help.
McCain was with Bush, again, and gets no credit.
Clearly, Obama's law savvy paid off. A landmark intervention!

Speak out!

Therefore, I declare the winner of the first debate to be:
Barack Obama!

McCain GOT SMASHED in the debate.

McCAIN's ECONOMIC PLAN=BUSH's ECONOMIC PLAN
Don't Get Fooled Again.
JBeatty17 3 years ago 2
The Democrats are to blame for this current economic meltdown. They have ties to high executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Bush is not the one who created this mess! And now we are all going to pay for it.
Vote McCain/Palin!
wittlesbach 3 years ago
You're right, this is the democrats fault.
But thats not important..................
O look, ethics just killed John McCain!
CSSGA 3 years ago
[CSSGA wrote: John McCain led them in the effort to deregulate the market which caused the corruption that led to the crisis]
WRONG. There are THOUSANDS of industries and MILLIONS of companies that are not regulated. Dereg is nothing more than govt returning control of a private-sector company back to its executives. Dereg should't be confused with "oversight"; the assurance that dereg companies remain ethical and operate legally by using govt watchdogs.
-
JetJagger 3 years ago
[CSSGA wrote: John McCain led them in the effort to deregulate the market, which caused the corruption that led to the crisis]
Merely deregulating a company doesn't cause or prevent unethical and criminal behavior. The govt is heavily regulated, and look at how many officials are charged and jailed. It is oversight that contributes to catching and prosecuting them. Govt in general hates oversight (especially on themselves). McCain is a huge proponent of oversight as is Palin.
-
JetJagger 3 years ago

IntelligentThought 3 years ago
It would be nice if you could cite your sources, nevertheless, for the sake of argument, let's say that you are correct.
The UN charter is not binding because the U.S. Senate never ratified the treaty that says our waters extend to 200 miles.
Another words, the treaty that says that our waters extend to 200 is null and void.
The 12 mile limit is all that is legally binding, according to the U.S. Senate.

You've admitted that you don't understand the working of the economy and we believe that but everything else you say is a flip flop LIE.

Do John McCain and Sarah Palin ever tell the truth?

What would it take to convince somebody like a Michael Bloomberg to run against McCain - Obama? I don't care so much about him joining a ticket, but leading a ticket. Somebody with both successful business/economic and executive experience.
All those stupid reasons would be brought up for reasons not to vote for him: old, womanizer. Dems wouldn't like his fiscal conservative views. Repubs wouldn't like his socially liberal views. In other words; the best of both parties.

I don't think LACK of education is good thing.
I don't want a Pres who says "We are all Georgians" but cant find Georgia on a map.
I don't want schools teaching The Flintstones was based on a true story.
