I've owned this bass for about 3 months now. I play mainly classic rock and new rock. It's very easy to play being a short scale. Great for guitar players or people with small hands. The sound is pretty good. If you play alot of songs in Drop D, I wouldn't recommend this bass. The E string just gets too floppy when you drop it down to a D. We only play 1 song (Slither) in Drop D so I can get by on that one. This will become my backup bass when I get something standard size.
Not to sound to harsh, but i play what i want on what i want. I see your point. And i do not do covers. Maybe you could play some old rock on one. I would favorite it. I may not play covers but would share it for you. ROCK ON!
It's not the type of bass to use for the stuff you are playing on it. Play some Stones, Yrdbirds, Beatles, that showcases a cool shortscale like this.
this seriously is THE only Gretsch bass video i have found. i want to see someone on youtube or something testing or playing a gretsch white falcon or a Gretsch G6073 Electrotone Bass.

this is the Gretsch Junior Jet, a short scale version that is only 250. There is a 2000 version but that is a higher-up model...
