  • I'll spread the word.

  • 81 yota 22r for sale 2300 obo runs but needs a tune up doesnt have a sway bar more flex like that ... could be a daily drive with a little work .... message me for pics has about 5 inch lift id say has 35s on it need replaced comes with 3 32inch tsl super swampers has a weber carb on it leaks little bit if oil needs the valve cover gasket replaced which is nothing.... has 180xxx on it just minimal surface rust.. no rust on the frame whatsoever...

  • god you can wind the fuck out of a 20 and 22r

  • thats how its done hold it in the floor....sweet vid man....yotas are the best

  • great souding motor.

  • my dad had an 82 toyota with a 22r and it had 11.5 to 1 compression. with an outlaw cam and it sounded kind of like that one.

  • @harleykeers1996. I'm about the same.

  • i gotta get my old 22r built

  • what tires u runnin?

  • @myyota85 ....Those are "Q-78" Buckshot mudders that are around 20 years old. They measure 36/10.50.

  • nice sound

  • Thanks! This will be the 8th year of running the truck with no major changes. I was running a flowmaster with a short pipe at the time the video was recorded.

  • best engine combo for off road in my opinion is the 22re block with the 20 r head more compression nice truck btw better luck next time that hill hole stuff is ruff no matter what any one says check out our 95 t100 on my channel

  • 20r head dosent fit on the 85 and later blocks. deck hights are differant. if u wanna put a 20r head on a 22r block it has to be a 81-84 22r. iv done this mod on my 82 4x4 and the power gains are amazing

  • man the damn things are foreign but they sure can bog

  • It's got some American parts in it too

  • You cant beat a yota with a 22r/22re, sure they dont make lots of HP, but they more than make up for it with reliability and durability, I've got an 86 xcab 4wd, if i ever can find a solid front axle, in my area, I'm swapping it over, my engine is already pushing 150 HP with a rejetted Weber 32/36, Offy Intake Manifold,D.U.I. Distributor, Pace Setter Header, Dynomax Muffler, and .30 bore,- its real fast with 16 inch 31's, even with 4:10 gears, I might be better off buying another one

  • I remember the day I took the video you were mine then and you STILL r!!!!! You out drive your trucks, you know how to put it down the track thats for SURE!!!!!

  • Saw tinker toy today at the races!! u did purty good!!! (8/22/09)

  • Thanks!!

  • that 22r looking a little smokey but sounds good at redline +

  • a at least ya now shes lubed

  • No more smoke. New set of rings!!

  • nice cant kill these things

  • @mauser8mm192422 i was told you can't kill a g10, the 3 cylinder suzuki engine in a geo metro; well turns out if the timing belt is off a tooth and bends the valves it'll warp the head and loose oil pressure ans seize the engine

that's my luck though, i can kill any engine people say is bulletproof, haven't ran a 22r or 22re yet but with my luck i'm sure it wouldn't last too long, only my 305 in my Sierra has proven itself reliable, 200k and not a thing wrong with it (knock on wood)

  • cheap Pacesetter header and 3" flowmaster ending in front of the rear axle. I just extended it to the rear due to rules at another track.

  • hell yea i had an 82 8in lift 38x12.50 tsl's awesome even with a broke ass 250,000 mile 22r it still was eneough to turn em in 4low awesome , on the highway dont go over 45 though

  • I like your redlining skills!!!! Great sounding little motor

  • going on 8 years, still havn't touched the motor. changed plugs once.

  • wow! that's awesome. I definitely looking to buy one of these now

  • it's hard to kill a yota

  • goes good but u call that a mud pit?

  • lol i see alotta blue smoke comin out of that beast.

  • she needs some ring...bad. Motor was built 7 years ago with a bad looking block. I built the motor just for one race...and it's still going.

  • because it's a 22r :D

  • hell yeah. i got a 22r in my 87 yota and it refuses to die.

  • I've got my downshifting down pat...Upshifting, that's another story....

  • ahh, good ol 22R. You could drive that engine like that all day for its whole life and it'll still last ya 250k.

  • the 22r on my 82 toyota pick up has 512k and still goin strong

  • give me throttle or give me death

  • nice work
