  • he was suspended 4 games for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing substances policy

  • Only the last few reps were legit, the rest were just partials. I wonder how many he could do in strict form and without steroids? Probably around 20-23, nothing special.

  • @veryslyfox at the nfl combine he did 30 reps. they are strict where you have to lock it out so you are clearly a dumbass.

  • I cant even do that shit twice.

  • i can bench 225 15 times, lol, now i feel like a little kid

  • All the ped users who you guys are saying were only good because of the steroids were all baseball players. FOOTBALL, the sport BRIAN CUSHING plays, requires speed, athleticism, smarts, and reflexes, every single play, every single game. steroids cannot supply ANYONE with any of those...

  • @bbHume Steroids can give you speed, but not the rest...

  • If what @d4liife says were true, which it isn't it, wouldn't be the other competitors fault for not taking steroids and going to the next level in a PROFESSIONAL enviroment? I wonder how many people have actually taken a cycle of test or anabol and know what they are talking about when they argue or advocate its use.

  • @bradk766 You mean anadrol?

  • @joedefranco - do you recommend a wider grip for bench rep testing (like the combine tests) or just the same grip you would for max? thanks

  • Another example is the light hitting Brady Anderson who went from hitting a couple of homers per year to hitting 51! How about Tony Mandarich who without the drugs was getting pushed around like a rag doll. He admitted he used drugs to make him into a Super athlete.. When he stopped using them he couldnt compete.

I am telling you Cushing without the drugs is 180 lbs and slow and weak.....

  • @d4liife i accept your argument about drug usage, it transforms the body into a different specimen from what I can see. Cushing I still think is a decent athlete. I do agree with you about Clay Matthews...He wouldn't be in the league without steroids.

  • @d4liife you are a fucking idiot. cushing was 215 pounds in high school. lol hes a great athlete and is having his best season ever and obviously not steroids

  • Cushing, Clay Matthews Orakpo and just about every other nfl player are HEAVY into peds. Cushing was a tiny kid as a sophomore at Bergen Catholic. His junior year he started juicing and he hasnt stopped since ..A lot of these guys train hard when people are watching or the camera is rolling ..But without the drugs they are sub par athletes, Cushing is a FRAUD.

btw I think it is honorable that you dont use drugs.

  • @d4liife Oh really Brian Cushing and said players are sub-par athletes..... :/ you probably need to see a doctor cause your brain clearly isn't functioning. I highly doubt drugs can take just a sub-par athlete and make him top-notch NFL quality. These guys have skill sets beyond what drugs can help out. Like Louie Simmons from westside barbell said: you cant just give anyone a bottle of testosterone and have him put on Barry Bonds uniform and expect him to hit homeruns.

  • @d4liife you clearly don't know much about training and are just jealous that there are people out there that can eat you alive.

  • I completely disagree. I have seen way too many avg athletes become superstars once they start using. If you listen to what Jose Canseco says you'll begin to understand. He states "without steroids I would not be in the Major Leagues ..With them I am a hall of famer."

  • Bouncing the bar off the chest is NOT a bench press!

I guess cheating on your bench press goes hand in hand with drugging yourself up to the max.

    Disgraceful..

  • @d4liife

I'm not trying to deny Cushing's drug abuse but surely that is unfair just to brush off his achievements in the gym like that. A lot of people abuse anabolics, there diets and training are still as strict and rigid as they could ever be. 35 reps of 225 is insane and he is trying to max out, of course the technique is going to be less than strict. I don't use anabolics and don't support their usage, but you can't take away from Cushing the fact that he is a phenomenal athlete.

  • i bench 225x41 at age 16.

  • @iBenchMoreThanYou stop lying to yourself so you feel good

  • You know you bench too much when your shirt is ripped where the bar goes

  • @ChucknorriS530 lol thats awesome ha i saw Something but thought it was the logo - nice

  • @ChucknorriS530 you can never bench "too" much

  • lol

  • Omg look at that his t-shirt got ripped where the bar press the chest

  • nice work esé

  • Youtube is hilarious, find a way to criticize anything too bad you're all a bunch of skinny bastards that need a dose of west side.

  • Um While impressive, I saw Dave Draper on older bodybuilder in his 40s at the time lay flat on the floor and press 315 straight up. Dunno how many could do that. No I cant bench 225 35 times. But I have done it 10 times and Benched 305 at a body weight at that time of 175. But yes 225 35 times is impressve. Cool I say.

  • Good for him, that's impressive but plain and simple that is not 35 bench-press reps. Those are at best 3/4 of a bench press and he's bouncing it off his chest.

Let's see him do it slowly, almost to full extension with no bouncing and I will be 5 times as impressed!

  • @Jimbo247 defensive players do this test as a measure of explosive power and endurance. when you block on the football field while running full speed, and making sure that the offense doesn't have its way, do you make sure you do it slowly with a full extension? shut the fuck up and get your facts straight.

  • @Jimbo247 but thats onyl if you want muscles that are weak and non explosive. fast twitch musculature is not developed from full extension lol. what a moron its like your a body builder pussy

  • @Jimbo247 When it's that light, why the hell should go slow? All he cares about is getting a high rep which results in a better turnout when he gets drafted. It's not an actual workout for him.

  • @Jimbo247 You don't bounce a fucking barbell off your chest, idiot. Can you imagine the damage BOUNCING a fucking loaded barbell on your chest would be if it had any benefit and could develop any force whatsoever? If you knew the first thing about power lifts, you would know that you need to lower the bar quickly and press it back quickly to generate the right kind of power for the lift. You try to do that without the illusion of a bounce.

  • lol @ the scream at the end

  • This guys could bench like 3 plate easy lol

  • @doomood actually more than 4 lol, according to the one rep max formula his one rep max is around 420

  • i want those shorttzz hommiee

  • great job !

  • Comment removed

  • he didnt use any drugs i weight 155 pounds and have been lifting for 3 years and can bench 225 10 times its not that hard if you put in hard work people who say he used roids probly go to the gym once a year and think anyone strong uses roids

  • 35 reps not bad @ all good job man.

  • That is insane... Even though I think he wasn't extending enough and dropping the weight too fast. But I guess that's ok when you do 35 reps haha. I wish I could do this.

  • @grobarson3 He was training for the NFL combine, in the NFL combine the rules are different, it has to touch yoru chest and you have to almost lock out. If he controlled the weight on the way down thats energy hes using that he could have used to get it back up.

  • Great football player...but like Barry Bonds, he's used performance enhancing stuff. Not saying he's not a hard worker...but drugs are drugs

  • @JamalDOA HCG is not a performance enhancing drug, its a weight loss supplement

  • @JamalDOA What exactly defines "performance enhancing". Technically eating properly and getting enough sleep is performance enhancing. Protein powder and vitamin C pills are performance enhancing. When you eat red meat you ingest creatine, so we should call meat performance enhancing too.

  • @ffryan In sports, "performance enhancing" means illegal substances.

  • @JamalDOA I once heard creatine described as a "performance enhancer". I hate that definition because it's too wide open for interpretation.

  • @ffryan If you don't understand the specific application of those words with regard to professional sporting---NFL, MLB, etc---then that's on you. But when these sporting bodies talk about "performance enhancing substances"---they're not talking about whey protein, bro. They're talking about hardcore, legally prohibited stuff.

  • MONSTER!

  • its not good to fully extend while repping to all the dumasses commenting thinking ur 8ft tall and can bench a thousand punds this nigga is strong and has a vid on it dont hate just like and leave

  • Just because it's in the news doesn't make it true.

  • I love how everyone assumes that roids are the answer when they arent. I guarantee you he is not on roids, it's all natural strength. thats why he is playing in the nfl.

  • Roids that he's probably on make a real difference, but the BIGGEST difference is roids coupled with a serious work ethic that i see here in spades and don't see much with guys in the gyms or with many athletes. He's training the way it's supposed to be done, thereby maximizing his potential, unlike most.

  • He benches only 132lbs, which is still brutal cause of the 35 reps but honestly i will try it to if i can do it, i will film it and post it right here ! ; )

  • He took T yes, BUT it was perscribed by doctors and trainers due to his LOW T. Dumb bitched

  • Comment removed

  • he didnt take steroids, dont believe the first headline you see

  • Cush is an animal no matter what supplements he takes!!!

  • Id be more impressed if it werent for the steroids.

  • NEW JERSEY MAKES ANIMALS BWARE!!

  • TO ALL HATERS: look where his "half reps" got him to..the NFL.

  • Why do people admire CHEATERS? SO STRANGE.

Maybe its the same reason some people admire pimps.....

    I dont get it...

  • Man does DeFranco's gym put steroids in their watercoolers or something???

Everyone that goes there makes any weight that I struggle on look like chicken shit in a cheeseburger. (That meant easy btw).

  • i would love to know how many of you steroid haters that are claiming steroids do this and that to you have degrees in medicine...you kids are pretty cocky..

  • There was nothing wrong with this guy's form. All you form Nazis are twigs... every video you go on the guy is HUGE doing things you couldn't dream of doing and you talk shit. Although I will say that 1. Steroids are cheating. and 2. He ripped his shirt at the chest... kind of gay.

  • nice one man!

  • lol.. Not that i'm one of those steroid-hating trolls.. although i do hate steroids.. Anyway, i really dont see why you guys defend Cushing, i dont give a shit about whether he does half reps or not, this is still hard. BUT it's a fact that he's done steroids.. therefor its not that incredible.. get over yourselves

  • Haters gon' hate. Keep up the hard work Cush!

  • anyone who thinks of their future beyond their youth won't use steroids. If you trade money for your own health later on down the road that is your choice. It is just a short sighted decision to make if you decide to abuse the piss out of your body, joints and connective tissue. That guy will die younger and live a lower quality life later on then he would have otherwise... Unless you can tell the future and know you will die young. IN which case I would crank it full steam ahead~

  • Ok you didn't have to tell me you couldn't do 225 35 times. Its obvious. Anyways, I do agree that high school kids shouldn't take steroids because their bodies are still developing not because it's cheating. Cush makes millions every year and he's a PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE so if there were millions of dollars involved and it was my JOB then of course I would take steroids to gain an edge over my competition. There are way too many people that hate on others just because they are damn good at what

  • Im mad because CHEATING has become acceptable..even admired in todays world. Cheating is a fucking disgrace ! It is a abomination of what sports is all about. Your right i can't do 225 for 35 reps. But I can also live with myself knowing that through my extensive athletic career I never cheated. I was surrounded by guys using steroids and refused to take them. I am telling you that this is an EPIDEMIC problem in this country and already grade school kids are taking PEDS and steroids. DISASTER.

  • roydcop is a complete dumbass. He's just mad because he can't do NEAR that much AND he has "trained" with so called "professional" athletes. What a hatin bitch. just sayin

  • ??? If you cant make it through the season without cheating you shouldn't be in the league! I have trained with professional athletes and I will tell you this. When you take steroids or HGH.Insulin you DONT have TO TRAIN AS HARD! AND you get MUCH FASTER AND GREATER RESULTS THAN THOSE WHO ARE CLEAN. It is the CLEAN ATHLETES THAT PEOPLE SHOULD ADMIRE. Especially when they are forced to play against CHEATERS. Perhaps some drug cheats train hard as well as juice up thats possible but they are FAKES.

  • you know your going hard when the bar leaves a rip in your shirt

  • @WillieJamesHuff2 lol thats prolly so he knows where to bounce it. like a marker.

  • SONG??

  • Dont hate.

  • Steroid debate ??? There's no debate . Anyone who takes steroids is a CHEATER. It doesn't matter how many people take it . If you take it you are a weak minded FRAUD and helping to destroy sports in this country.. You want to root for and admire the CHEATERS go ahead. Just wondering what you might tell a young man who wants to be a football or baseball player? Should he juice up? What if it is your son ?

  • @mgrealdeals thing is.. to compete at the level they are.. to get through a 16 game season you need that edge.. How are people that take performance enhancing substances weak minded? Maybe not admire cheating.. But admire their work ethic.. Admire what kind of player they are.. What they bring to a team.. Admire how their peers allow them to lead. Let's be honest.. what is your definition of "juice" or "juicing"...

  • All I'm hearing here is wah wah wah in regards to the steroid debate. The vast majority of professional athletes take steroids at some point in their career.

  • roiders are bitches

  • He tested positive for HCG. Thats the drug juicers take to try to get their body to start producing testosterone after numerous cycles of HGH cause the body will just stop producing it after ingesting HGH for long periods of time. The question isn't 'why does he have to be juicing' . He is. you would have to be an idiot to think he is not. The Rafael Palmeiro stance aint foolin anyone with half a brain. You think Bonds was just "stronger than most" PLEASE

  • @Chathamsfinest24 i agree, i dont use steroids myself but i think of roids as a bad ass energy boosting supplement

  • @BowFleXuser haha exactly! I'll probably never use them bc they are unregulated and pricey and I dont have the time to work out hard or long enough to get the results they can help accomplish....not bc some people say there unsafe...prove it I say. Although they havent been proven safe either. You know how the two way street is

  • Why does he have to be juicing? Because he's stronger than most? It amazes me how limited the scope for so many is of what is possible naturally with hard work and dedication. I'm pissing in the wind even saying this because it's been done to death on the internet already but people need to do something more constructive than run their dick beaters with the intent of discrediting another's success.

  • Because he "works hard" he gets a pass?!

There are many athletes who work as hard and harder and they stay clean... Probably the hardest effort of all when most are juice heads. These peds are ruining sports in this country.

  • @mgrealdeals

can you go have your justice speech somewhere else

  • When he entered the gym that day the shirt wasn't ripped where the bar hits. That's how hard BRIAN FUCKING CUSHING WORKS!!!

  • The Guy is a CHEATER get that straight ...Hard work ]no hard work whatever. He has been using PED's since early high school. There is NOTHING about CHEATING that is alright or acceptable despite the mental softees who like to overlook this fact.

  • dem lockouts

  • Check out Spencer Wallace Bench Press 225 x 33 Reps (March. 2011)

  • DEM ROIDS

  • He is going to get hurt by not wrapping his thumbs around the bar. One day he will drop 315 lbs on his chest or throat.

  • Damn what a monster. This world is just full of jealous haters

  • watch joes movie

his dad threw people out of his (joes dad) gym for roid use

dont you think joe would do the same at his gym? there's a reason Cush is there, he didnt use roids

  • strong rom strong bounce n00b

  • bounce :O

  • The most i ever did was 225 for 23 the after like 1 minute rest i did 135 for 82 reps.

  • Horrible form in the beginning, perfect towards the end, lol how crazy is that?

  • And don't get me wrong Cush is a monster and he doesn't lock out for a reason it actually makes it harder cause it keeps constant stress on your chest as a opposed to when u lock your elbows u allow your chest to briefly rest

  • Cush tested positive for hcg wich is a hormone only found naturally in pregnant females and also used by steroid users to help kicksart there natural testosterone production when coming off a steroid cycle since all anabolic steroids supress your natural test production so unless he is secretly a woman and pops out a baby Cush did juice problem is not enough ppl are educated enough on the subject of steroids to realize this

  • Cush tested positive for hcg wich is a hormone only found naturally in pregnant females and also used by steroid users to help kicksart there natural testosterone production when coming off a steroid cycle since all anabolic steroids supress your natural test production so unless he is secretly a woman and pops out a baby Cush did juice problem not enough ppl are eduucated enough on the subject of steroids to realize this

  • only the last reps are decent

  • nice lifting never fully locked but idk i couldnt do better.. so i give him props

  • Wow these aren't even full reps.

  • @Chathamsfinest24 and kill your body

  • 102kgs,,, that many reps,, but 100kgs is not insane weigth,,, but nice done on the reps

  • up 5 reps since combine, fucking beast. still think clay is better though

  • this guys jacked the only people with somethin negative to say is a bitch cause they cant touch 225 in the gym

  • thumbs up if you bought one of those t shirts

  • @Chathamsfinest24 Get the fuck out of here

  • thats an interesting style of benchpress, not straighting fully arms = shortening the movement, plus bouncing it on chest = cheating. im not a hater, but i hate when ppl show off.

  • @Chathamsfinest24 yes, but its still performance enhancers genious... Its illegal in all Pro Sports...

  • @gravino555 Never said it was legal. I would say that the use of steroids in pro sports is probably more widespread than any of us think.

  • didnt lock out on the first 30 reps.....

  • @565144 Shut. The. Fuck. Up. I hate people like you who come here and try to criticize when you have no one where near the strength, determination, and capacity to work hard in order to even get close to this achievement.

  • @MrIvanUSA ....chill bra. its youtube. besides at 205 & 16 yrs I got 225 for 18 reps. that was without juice. im lighter now but id no doubt give ya a run for your money

  • That dude is a freakin beast!

  • yes!

  • Good job! but i like to see him do this slowly. I belive he would have done maybe 20 if he did them slower and not just dropped them back on his chest. But still very good job, keep it up.

  • @Chathamsfinest24: why couldn't he get where he is using hard work only? I don't get it, how can you tell he uses?

  • @Cornampoo Because he was just suspended this NFL season due to testing positive to steroid use.

  • @hellolms Not steroids. sports. espn.go.c om/nfl/ news/story?id=5 172060

  • @MrIvanUSA Interesting, I hope it was his condition that caused him to test positive for that test. Him testing positive has really put the spotlight on my favorite player Clay Matthews.

  • I don't see why people complain about athletes who use steroids. Everything in the world is enhanced through technology, so why not athletes. I wanna see a 350 lb lineman run a 4.3 40!!

  • Comment removed

  • i take it he benches in that shirt frequently haha

  • I like how seemingly on every weight lifting video on youtube....people just seem to brag about their own accomplishments. "I can bench 225x 23 and im steroid free :)" like stfu nobody cares watch the video.

Oh yeah Brian Cushing is scary.

  • @lpspartan60 stop defending your boyfriend fagot

  • i love how everybody put dey lil stats as comments

  • i do 16 reps of 225 and im steroid free n i actually go all the way up

  • HE DOES NOT HAVE TO LOCK OUT ON EVERY REP U DUMMY WHAT THE HELL DID U INJECT IN UR BRAIN? EVEN IN THE COMBINE HAHA THIS AINT EASY TO DO TRUST ME I WONDER HOW HE WARMED UP BEFORE THIS, GOOD SHIT TO U

  • i can bench-press 35 lbs 225 times .. ;)

  • Cheater, he took roids, I did it old fashion, I worked hard

  • @OhBlumpkin And you are????

upload a vid. Either way he's an nfl athlete, your the guy posting on his video

  • I'd like to see all the whiners on this page do 35 "half-reps" as they call it

  • @Nikon05 i'd think we like to see'em only do 1 if thats even possible

  • Sorry, but our friend Brian needs to lock out. If this was at the combine he wouldn't have dared to NOT lock out on every rep.

  • @Chathamsfinest24 considering he's a pro football player, i'm guessing he's natural

  • @ako541 yea because no pro football player has ever used steroids.... moron

  • @Chathamsfinest24 with how strict wada is getting i'd doubt he's using tbh, even hgh has been detectable now !!

  • damn impressive.

  • full motion dude.

  • @Tonza222 He does at the end. Some lifters do "half" lifts at the beginning. Doing lockouts actually allows you to rest your arms.

  • For you idiots who think he roids up... He passed a lie detector test in Denver that asked him if he has ever taken steroids... Also the top HCG doctor in the US talked about HCG and why Cush was never on steroids. Plus he was examined by a top of the line doctor who saw no signs he had ever taken PEDs... He works his ass off, give the man credit!

  • @34jordan34 he was suspended for roiding up you fucking cunt.. i understand that ur in love with the man and would love his cock down you're throat, but clearly you haven't heard about his suspension, you so-called "fan".. fuck you

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @agrigento09 he didn't get suspended for steriods or performanc enhancements at all. Football players can test positive for taking anything. garbage proteins and cough medicine stuff of the sort. Thats all hard work right there. Everyone doesn't take steriods thats strong believe it or not. roids are for the ppl who are tryna look good or are to weak minded to put in real work to make real gains

  • @Chathamsfinest24 Thanks for the reply to people who constanttly think steriods make you big while you eat cheetos , twhat you put in is what you get out of anything period

  • Brian Cushing was busted for steroids.

Just telling you wishful-thinking fucking idiot.s

  • the first 20 reps are half reps....

  • I love how whenever a vid of a hardworking athlete is posted, it immediately garners loads of haters

  • @Lahed92801 It gets me fucking horny and fired up

  • @Lahed92801 thats so fucking true man amen to that

  • @Lahed92801 I couldn't agree more... People who are lazy and jealous have a hard time watching somebody push something physically insane like this... They aren't humble enough to admire so they slam him. So pathetic and soft.

  • You all are completely clueless too working out clearly .... defrancos gym has 0 roid heads if u didnt no NOW YOU KNOW .... retards

  • What a beast man, yea chances are he's juiced and that "overtraining syndrome" is BS thats why they upheld the suspension. I heard he put on 40 pounds in one summer and thats definitely steroids

  • These aren't even close to good reps! Furthermore, your chest is NOT a trampoline!!!

  • A BUNCH OF HATERS ON THE MANS VIDEO DOIN THEIR JOB AND HATIN.... HE DIDNT TAKE STEROIDS U FUCKING IDIOTS. WHAT HE TOOK WASNT EVEN CLOSE TO STEROIDS DUMB ASSES.... IF HE TESTED POSITIVE FOR STEROIDS HE WOULD OF BEEN SUSPENDED FOR WAY MORE GAMES THAN 4. AND IT WOULD BE A BIG DEAL ALL OVER ESPN AND THE NEWS.... AND ITS NOT SO STFU AND GET OFF CUSHINGS DICK YOU JEALOUS HATIN ASS WANNA BEES xD

  • what record did he break, the most pin holes in ass?

  • @chadley6916 stupid

  • @chadley6916 you will never be half the athlete he is regardless of steroids.

  • @nikolatesla08

    Ok, sure.

  • You're strong, but you can't claim 35 reps!

If you add all those partial reps together, you'd get about 19.7 real bench presses.

If you're already cheating with steroids, you shouldn't cheat on the rep count too.

  • @nelliesman100 its wasnt steroids.... do ur research before u talk please. it wasnt even close to steroids... y dog on someone about something that isnt true? on a video of him? just tryin to start shit or wut?

  • @nelliesman100 steroids not cheat... everybody athletes uses steroids !! EVERYBODY YOUR HEROS USES STEROIDS !!!

  • @fogonabomba2 The truth and nothing but.

  • @fogonabomba2 not all athletes

    just the dumb ones.

  • I'm more curious about his nutrition than his training. You should start incorporating that into these videos.

  • He's all natural. The positive test for a masking agent was caused by over-training. Come on guys.

  • @espo222

    HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Impressive for his size. I've done 22 reps with 225 before. I'd like to work my way up to 30. And ALL the NFL players use slight bounce and not completely full extension when doing the bench press test. You never see slow controlled reps with that weight for that many reps.
