NSPCC = National Society for the Prevention of Contact with Children - kids beware, adult = paedophile!! While we're about it, lets get rid of all cars; that way we can stop all road deaths!
Oh my God! A child was touched in the making of this video!
They should have demonstrated that touching is appropriate without actually .... touching him. I think the people who made this wanted to touch his shoulder and wrist. That is so sick!
This is beyond ridiculous. Beyond ridiculous and over-cautious, hyper-sensitive. Honestly, next parents will have to teach children how to eat without holding their forks for them.
Maybe we can all grow up in giant sterile test tubes. Fed via tubes. I'm sure this will keep us safe, and free from the horrible idea of be uncomfortable.
Im a drum tutor and was discussing all this hysteria with one of my year 10 pupils. He told me that when doing rugby training and demonstrating how to tackle correctly they have to have 2 teachers present. It's all going a little bit crazy.
Just one last point on that ridiculous theatrical lunge by the actor. In real life and in my experience as a child: the best thing was for the teacher to ask to demonstrate "Matthew your fingers are positioned slightly wrong, may I just reposition them?" It is respectful to the pupil and of course if he says no you can demonstrate yourself. One wonders what teachers of the martial arts must make of this where physical contact is part of the instruction: no doubt they are next on the list...
Abosolutely ridiculous and a sad indictment of the politically correct lunacy that pervades this country. Are children now to view all physical contact as sinister and something to be scared of? I have taught in Italy where they reacted with horror and bemusement when I mentioned these attitudes. It is why I would never teach here. On learning guitar and piano as a child my teacher would often move my fingers into the correct position on the fret/keyboard. Was I suspicious and believe he was get
There is no reason why an instructor shouldn't be able to help a child learn proper hand, wrist, or whatever positioning without touching a child's hands. Just trying to teach them by having them watch you is not necessarily work. The person learning may need the instructor to place their hands or hold the wrist in the right position in order for the learner to really understand what they are being told.
Just because and adult is touching a child does not mean it's molestation. GAL, PLEASE!!!!!
LOL I Wonder how many dislikes this vid can rack up in the next 6 months..... Its very INAPROPRIATE for a downward trend of music teachers already struggling to get music taught in schools :p

Great work from the NSPCC. Hopefully they had someone with a clipboard behind the camera, safeguarding the boy's wellbeing.
