  • @aniknin where does it say that this is boxing?

  • Ouch. The referee needs to do some more refereeing

  • which is kickboxing and which is using muay thai?

  • @gijszz left kickboxing right muay thai ^^

  • no muay thai --"

  • Is that the Muay Thai Stance? I don't think about it. He need to learn more about Stance and Kicking technique.

  • @EzekielLBDT14 si toda la razon

  • are they in the same weight class???

  • Damn you guys are lame lmfao. I mean the commenters are lame lol such whiny fanboys.

  • Kickboxong is westernized muay thai

  • @Slap1productions

    @minstack

nice ignorance. american kickboxing is english boxing with american karate kicks. it has no relation to Muay Thai except that they are both classified as kickboxing. Plus AK doesn't allow knees or elbows.

  • It's better because kick boxing are copied muay Thai

  • Muay Thai are better

  • Muay Thai kick like Kic Boxing but Muay Thai it plus punch, knee , elbow style more than kick boxing

  • muay thai better than kick boxing but this muay thai fighter is sucks!!

  • @MrTiranei It's almost the same thing, you can't really compare the sports only the fighters.

  • @Arvidps3

no... world master MT vs world master KB.... MT win(sorry but mine english suck)

  • @Arvidps3

muay thai is kick boxing +elbows and knee so?

  • guys just admit kick boxing is better than muay thai

  • @TheUsmarine789 your stupid as hell, i do kickboxing and muay thai is better it's always been better this is the deadliest martial, you dumb fuck

  • @BloodCompaction kick boxing has muay thai in it shit head

  • @TheUsmarine789 omg you stupid dumbass your stating the obvious it has muay thai in it but not all of the moves there not exactly the same dick shit and plus muay thai has elbows and knees kickboxing doesnt you blind piece of shit

  • @BloodCompaction woo bitch when you box you are a way better striker as you can see from the video . so you can eat a dick.

  • @TheUsmarine789 when the hell did i say i was a way better boxer you stupid blind piece it's like argueing with a damn blind half retarded crippled, and if were you're talking about me eating dick then you must have me mixed up with your dads job ok fagg now stfu pice of shit.

  • @BloodCompaction dude my dad really you a bitch. I am talking about you and you bring my dad in this. Your just corny FUCKING DICK MONKEY

  • @TheUsmarine789 you brought this on to yourself the whole world knows that your dad eats dick it's his living i mean he does what he loves best, cant argue with that. Also fucking monkey dick is your dads side job,you know he likes to make money on the side to buy himself little gifts because you know the man needs a break from all that monkey dick.

  • @BloodCompaction if you think my dad eats dick u should see your mom now she is a bitch .

  • @TheUsmarine789 yeah she's a bitch but your dad still suks lots of dicks, especially monkey dicks

  • impressive kicks

  • muay thai is unstoppable

  • they just brawld.... thas all.... wut weight they in?

  • @lilsm555 you can use elbows and knees in both...but in the sport its too dangerous in america

  • This looks more dangerous than boxing, by far.

  • Wow. A lot of these people are dumbasses. If you guys new any shut about muay Thai and shit you would just shut the fuck up and muay Thai isn't focused on kicks. That's why it's called the art of eight limbs stupid fucks. Not the art of kicking lol. Muay thai uses punches elbows knees and kicks

  • In a free fight, stadisticaly thai should be better than kick, couse it's more complete and i think it has more pro fighters (not sure). But, fights are fights, and fighters are fighters. In this good fight, none of the guys did Muay Thai, they just grabbed themselves a little; but nice hits and attitud.

  • the white guy seemed kind of homo, he would always hug the other guy...

i know this is a fight and all and i know that he did it for "strategy" but c'mon

  • this is a real brawl:)

  • who is the kickboxer

  • What do those headguard even do... they only protecting the forehead and a small part of the jaw..

  • @wra7h kicks to the temple can be deadly

  • there's no such thing as best martial art. every martial arts is the same, its just that how you use it and how you defeat it matters

  • kickboxer was just a nutter and was much bigger and stronger than the thai guy. both sports are good in there own respects, but thaiboxing is better, not opinion, FACT. Dont judge on one fight

  • @blkassi fuck off man, your clueless. ill probably never have the joy to meet u in person so i can show u how a thai boxer fights (im a amature thaiboxer), i aint gone waste my time with u, little nerd pussyhole

  • If it weren't for his shorts saying 'Kick Boxing' I would've thought this was two amateur Thai Boxers. The kick boxer throws body & low kicks like a thai boxer, he wasn't up on his toes throwing the faster flashier techniques like axe kicks that you'd expect a kick boxer to use. He's not even wearing those funny little booties they normally wear...

Bottom line, all this proves is THIS kick boxer is better than THIS thai boxer, doesn't prove one style is better than the other.

  • muay thai is for slooooooooooooooooooooooow people

  • I still think in a street fight, an experienced Muay Thai fighter would fuck up an experienced Kickboxer.

  • 2:12 PACK!

    AC DC ROCKS!!

  • looks like the kick boxer is heavyer

  • Loud mouth fucking yank

  • the person with the muay thai background had no commitment to win that match.. lead forward an take control

  • Size mis-match.

  • both are muai thai fighters

kickboxing doesn't allow elbows and knees, hitting below waist(exept for feet)

both of the fighters have a crappy defence

  • @jonfenlviv HAHA muay thai means 8 limbs (2 fists, 2 elbows, 2 knees, 2 shins) for hitting. so how doenst muay thai not allow below waste they can hit ANYWHERE. clearly u know NOTHING about these martial arts.

  • its muay thai vs kickboxing is it american kickboxing or not? cuz isnt american kickboxing no kicks below waist?

  • this fight seems school's fights ... hey look 2:13

  • @th3ndft lol yeah XD i found it weird that he didint get knocked out

  • That guy is a disgrace for muay thai

  • @XxxDooMxxX1234

STFU...the kid went in and did his best. he was outmatched and beaten. he isnt some world class fighter who got schooled horribly. he went in and fought and was beaten what more do you want from the guy other than train to get better?

he wasn't some fighter chosen by some world class muay thai league to represent muay thai against a kickboxing. he is a kid who trained muay thai and so did the other guy probably.

calling him a disgrace to muay thai is pathetic

  • they are both muay thai.!!

  • @moe2744 there is nearly no diffrence between muay thai and KB. the only one is that MT is allowed to use elbows.

  • @wardancer400 exactly..

  • I just cant tell the diffenece in the both they both kick and punch idk

  • kickboxing shit u cant use knees or elbows so muay thai is better and i do muay thai ill kick any kickboxers ass any day !!!

  • @gangstacallan

That's very apparent, especially in the video. The muay thai fighter pummeled the kickboxer. Oh wait, the muay thai fighter lost.

  • In 1950s Karateka named Yamada also called MT as kickboxing in Japan.

American full contact karate [long pants a lot of spinning kicks, multiple sidekicks]also changed name to kick boxing, and their trainning after lost so much in the 80s.

I think if you read old Magazines [Europeans] you will see the history.[not sure about americans]

Resume - Kickboxing not Originated from USA or Europe.

  • They used to call thaiboxing,thai kickboxing,muaythai kickboxing,Original kickboxing.

U can tell that so called kickboxer in this vdo uses Muaythai techniques.

    Muaythai V. Muaythai.

They called Muaythai as kickboxing for what they saw [kicking of course]

  • you know tellin the truth kickboxing is alot better then muay thai because muay thai fighters just use knees and elbows but kickboxers ( i am myself) are tactical but it also depends on fighters skill

  • muay thai is more asian than kickboxing

  • @shinyondaime95 kickboxing is the product of boxing, karate, and muay thai

  • @thoroughbred765 shut up you troll

  • @BloodCompaction dude you dad sucks donkey dick

  • @BloodCompaction how am i trolling?

  • @thoroughbred765 exactly your still trolling you stupid rage troll leave me alone

  • @BloodCompaction u stupid bich i aint been on this video in a year. your trolling me

  • @thoroughbred765 dude your the first to comment ok your trolling me

  • @BloodCompaction u comented first idiot

  • kickboxing isnt better than muay thai

muay thai isnt better than kickboxing

its the way of the fighter not the way of martial art

  • @lloolliippopp exactly

  • kickboxing guy has 20 pounds on muay thai

  • Lol that dude in the black/red/yellow was getting rocked around like a ragdoll.

  • stiff upper lip

  • Frankly, i don't see any real Muay Thai in here. Maybe a hybrid american so called muay thai. If you see Muay Thai fighters, you'll see that they are more calm and aren't afraid to get hit. Here the kids are all over the ring and bouncing, with no muay thai footwork at all. No technique whatsoever.

  • yeah no foot work at all

  • What I've noticed is that most Muay Thai in North America seems to have an increased awareness in the boxing aspect of Thai Boxing. Actual Thai fighters (not the star wars kind) seem much more focused on kicks if possible effectively chopping down their opponent like a tree. Although, ultimately it depends on the individual fighter. In my old Muay Thai gym we used to have boxers come in to help beef up our boxing and parrying. It was effective.

  • @Alexkuiper1 haha dude i loved ur comment mainly becuz ur so right. In the us muay thai has A LOT of boxing in it, its true i visited this thai gym here in us and it was SO different than the thailand vids i had seen be4 where it was jus kcik kick knees, no punching. I like it more in the us

  • and the reason he is a Mauy Thai Kickboxer is because Muay Thai is the most effective stand up fighting technique.

  • Yup, he is a Muay Thai kickboxer. There is no straight up kick-boxing here.

  • lol all i know is that the muay thai fighter won. because they both used muay thai, i dont see anything limited to strictly kickboxing

  • poor kid he never had a chance...

  • kickboxing is only a little part of muay thai

  • muay thai is much more complicated than just kickboxing they use elbows and knees unlike kb

  • well our kb instructor gets us to use knees and elbows quite a bit.

  • your fucking stupid!

  • Knees? Elbows? Proper leg choping driving kicks? Where's the muay thai? :(

  • forbidden in fight

  • exactly

  • kick boxers was better at muay thai den the muay thai fighter

  • @ onlisan, i do not agreed. i think is opposite. u havent heard about "buakaw" u wouldnt know. he was a muay thai fighter before he became kick boxer. check out his vids.

  • He's always been a Muay Thai fighter, he just changed his style for K1

  • Well, even though I agree, just take into consideration that Muay Thai reserves a considerable part of their training to the use of knees and elbows, and many hold these as their main weapons, so he might have been in slight disadvantage.

  • @onlisan Yeah, he was. Part of fighting is using your instinct. Maybe the kickboxer just had the better instincts.

  • @onlisan sike

  • @onlisan

cus he had his hands up more. i dont think this muay thai fighter knows that basic rule.

  • @texas22skater your moms knows lots of basic about sucking my penis

  • exactly , who is what ?.

  • for a muay thai fighter to lose to a kickboxer, he can't be that great.

  • Theres not that much difference between the two

  • u dont think much of kick boxing then. kickboxing isn't better then muay thai, nor is muay thai better then kick boxing, it depends on who wants to win more, and who is more skilled in what they do.

  • Agreed but, technically a Muay Thai fighter should win if they were evenly skilled. This is because kickboxing is not as broad as Muay Thai e.g. in Muay Thai you can use elbows and knees, and they kick with shins. So a Muay Thai fighter has more at their disposal to do damage to the opponent. So what i'm saying is the Muay Thai fighter should of won. Thus i said the Muay Thai fighter in that video can't be great as he lost to a kickboxer. Trust me i've done both Muay Thai and kickboxing.

  • @pkboxrange well, iv only kicked boxed (alittle) like 1 week so far. but im really all about the judo, i find kick boxing and muay thai more fun to watch then do, and judo more fun to do then to watch. :D but ur right, kickboxing is pritty much a branch off of the muay thai tree, the maker took some key points of muay thai and Tai kawn do, then mixed that with western boxing. so i agree that the muay thai guy should win since its just art vs art. but like i always say its probably gonna be the

  • Actually they put this too the test, in the early 1980's, They pitted Kickboxers from PKA(Pro Karate Association), which none were trained in Muay thai, most were American Karate, and for those of you who don't know what this means, it is a blend of Karate-Japanese, Chinese, and Korean, with some Indonesian and Filipino styles thrown in.The event was held in Thailand. The rules were Blended, the results out of the 5 weight divisions? 4 wins by PKA one win by a Thai fighter.

  • The thai fighter that won, won his by TKO and was a legend in thai history. The PKA wins were 3 KO's and one close split decision by Thai Judges. And for those of you who think MMA is new to America. It's not, There have been many dominate fighters in USA history. Gene lebelle is one, and I have a list of at least 20 others that were dominate world wide. I have footage of some events that make many fighters today look amateurish. Also Ju-jutsu was introduced to the US in 1885.

  • guy who wants it the most that wins

  • @pkboxrange Well in that sense that would've meant that the Kickboxer was more skilled in the boxing and kicking arts since his training was NOT broader and therefore would've won since in Muay Thai, besides clinching, not a lot of knees and elbows are thrown.

  • @pkboxrange

Well, they are nowadays becoming more and more the same sport. NOT saying they are the same sport, but they are both integrating techniques and strategy from the other. Both nowadays use the superior punches and movement of Boxing. All kickboxing schools I've ever been to teach knees, elbows just as much as the Thai schools, and they also ALWAYS kick with the shin.

  • Some kick boxing schools don't tell you they actually teach you Muay Thai. But the ones that do, and that many of the ones with the better qualified instructors, tend refer to Muay Thai classes as "Advanced Kickboxing", also many hold kickboxing a prerequisite to learn Muay Thai. This means that Muay Thai is a more comlex version of Kick Boxing. Please do believe me Muay Thai is better that Kick Boxing in technique, there is no denying it, but the fighter obviously makes the bigger difference.

  • @pkboxrange the issue with the more weapons=better chance to win is that in a fight u may not ever get the chance to use all of your techniques. You may not have to, fight can end in one lucky punch.

  • @REDSAMURAI307 i will agree with you on that :it depends on who wants to win more but muay thai its not better too than kickboxing and kickboxing isnt good than muay thai...

  • @REDSAMURAI307 i agreed with u 100%, i like kick boxing myself, but i dont think is better than muay thai

  • @REDSAMURAI307

Personaly I think it comes down to what art has the edge over one. Muay Thai has the edge in kicking and delivering more forceful strikes, but Kick boxing is better at punching.

It would be stupid to say that all the martial arts are equaly good. There are arts that are better than some.

  • @VIBoBoIV well i could go into the whole x style v.s y style but i won't...as far as your comment. muay thai doesn't have an edge over kickboxing. why? i think this is japanese style kickboxing, and if it is: japanese style kickboxing ( witch is more common then american kickboxing, witch is boxing mixed with a from of karate) comes from muay thai, and for the most part is the same thing. you just get to call it something else. that being said: how is thai better then kickboxing?

  • @REDSAMURAI307

I find Thai to be more focused on Kicks, Kick-boxing is a mix between punching and kicks. I think thai is better because of my personal style of fighting and the more agile kind of fighting.

  • @REDSAMURAI307 if they are of equal skill muay thai guy wins...so a more skilled muay thai fighter would just be that much better haha

  • @RabidxPanda...this is clearly japanese kickboxing, they're might b a debate if it was american ...japanese kickboxing comes from muay thai...the only major difference is the rules...they score points different...and maybe i'm sure they're are some SMALL differences.but there differences are so small, it does come down to skill. so i ask you: a smart martial arts fan, if the art is the same for the most part, how can one be soo much better? your just a muaythai fan, that doesn't make it better.

  • @REDSAMURAI307

Not completely true. Kick boxers Im sure have something that Muay Thai doesn't, the same with kick boxing. There are martial arts that prove to be more efficient then others. Lets say Muay Thai and Boxing, a boxer will focus only on their upper body while a Thai boxer will focus on the upper and lower body. I see where your going at and I agree with you, but the martial art itself can play a tiny roll or a massive role in who wins a fight.

  • i agree with you, as much as i hate to say it...some styles are better then others. my point is, with these styles.. (kickboxing v.s muay thai) the differences are so small, that in this art v.s art match up. it really does depend on the fighter's skill and not the style...but say if it was capcora v.s boxing...well every one knows the boxer will knock him out. and yes they're ARE differences between them, but they're mainly in the sparring rules and maybe witch parts of the body they train more

  • @REDSAMURAI307 honestly, most kickboxing trainers are going to teach you muay thai as well. they are very similar arts and if your trainer is good he's going to pretty much want you to get the full striking experience. my trainer started me with the more defensive paced kickboxing then when i moved up he taught me the more offensive and versatile muay thai (knee strikes, elbow strikes, clinches, powerful shin strikes).

  • Comment removed

  • @REDSAMURAI307 i was in agreement with you

  • @c0ldsurg3 oh my mistake. carry on! lol. ^.^

  • (part2) for example, kickboxing might work on flexibility a bit more so then muah thai, and muay thai might work on power more so then speed..but japanese style kickboxing (witch is the most used version thanks to the damned ufc) comes from muay thai and is pretty much the exact same style..but american style kickboxing comes from full contact chuu-ryo style karate (i think, it might b a different style of karate) so american style will be a good bit different as u said. :D

  • In MT rules MT guy tends to have advantage regarding to clinching knees and side kicking with the shank rather than the foot. But the essential thing for both is to have a good boxing besides good kicking.

Btw If anyone is interested in Training boxing or muay thai with a former champ in both styles in Rio de Janeiro as well as interested in invest in some figthing event here in Rio/Brazil, please take a look at my chanel as well as at my blog.

  • there rlly is no greater style its how da practitioner uses it a boxer can beat the fuck out of a taekwondo practitioner and yet a taekwondo practitioner can fuck up a boxer it can go either way on who is more fluid in the style

  • NO! life is life and crapholes are crapholes!

  • kick boxing and muay thai are almost the same style

  • you have no idea how different they are its insanity training one then swapping over everything is different

  • rhahaha no waaaay

  • So? I wasn't trained in martial arts when I beat the crap out of this supposed 3rd degree dan in some martial art style. Style matters, but too many people think that a style is magical...I studied ninpo this year and in 9th kyu I could handle a guy in 3rd kyu cuz i got into real fights and i knew how to fight and how to apply ninpo techniques at the right time...guy i fought relied only on what he learned but never got into a real fight and he couldn't take me...it's the fighter, not the style

  • yea but without technique you wont do shit no matter how many times you brawled in club..

  • I agree with that, but without experience, technique doesn't matter either. To make a good fighter, both of them have to come together. But, if someone has technique mastered, I suppose that after about a dozen real street fights, he'd get the hang of how to use his technique whereas the brawler may just learn a few "street" techniques but not a whole arsenal of take-downs and blows. I feel that if you have the experience of real fighting, and you adopt a technique, your gonna be a great fighter

  • you got a point there bro, but people whose goal is to compete in a ring/cage wont gain their experience on street, we have sparring for that...not to mention you can go full contact on training aswell and even there's a big risk of injuries, gladly not as much as on street fight though. now if you wanna compare a good street fighter against pro fighter take a look at kimbo slice...he was a street fighter, got to mma organization, got his ass kicked, now he wants to be an mma fighter :)

  • kick boxing good sports legs and box

Muay thai is fantastic ;/ legs clinch low hilt guard

    Muay no DISCIPLINE

  • no one gives a shit shut the fuck up and watch fights retard

  • yeah... kickboxing is anything that is a striking based martial art (muay thai, karate, tkd, boxing etc)

  • dude that comment is full of shit...i don't mean to disrespect or anything but writing something without knowledge sucks...kickboxing may be karate + tkd + boxing but don't put muay thai in that basket cus muay thai is way better then kickboxing and that's been proved many times..the simple difference between mt and kb incase you didn't know, is the way they do roundhouse kick, they do it completly different at those 2 styles..

  • @iLuvHardStyle : i dunno about that. we'll agree to disagree : )

  • about what, i wrote several stuff.. :P

  • the undisputed style, of course, is the im-better-than-all-you-niggas-even-tho-ive-never-been-in-a-fight-and-i'll-rag-on-everything-else style. it has never had a loss because theyve never had a win either.

  • it the same only at muay thai whit ellbow extra

  • Kick Boxing is like the sport version of Muay Thai.

  • haha i laughed hard at that one...kickboxing is not connected to muay thai in any look, except you kick and punch at both...i've seen many kickboxing world champs going to thailand in the past to prove they're the best and got brutally fucked (i'd say KO-d but it was more then just KO-s, they generally beat the shit out of em!) ... but ofcourse, most of times the euro/US kickboxers won cus MT fighters got DQ-d cus of illegal elbows, clinch/knee to "death" etc...

  • They kinda look the same.

  • saying your style is better that another style is not going to make any of you suck any less. at least these guys went at it and tried to expand their knowledge.

  • Well at least you've got it right.

  • its not about the technique its how the fighter uses it

  • it depends on fighters because i know a boxer who knock out a karate guy

  • the kickboxer seemed to be significantly bigger than the other guy

  • Almost everything depends on the person, the kickboxer could have probaly won over the muay thai too if he practised muay thai and the other kickboxing. I myself like kickboxing :D

  • when they practice of kickboxing they use with elbow and knee only muay thai had elbows and knee i can fight better than kickboxer i know muay thai

  • Peter Aerts is a Kickboxer not a Muay Thai fighter

  • Kickboxing came from muay thai too!!!

    Not just from Karate.

  • Kickboxing is more muay thai them karate!!!!

i DON´T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT

  • i said that

  • Yeees :D thank you

  • No problem man

  • woah i love Smooth!!

  • whats´s kickboxing and muay thai now ? :D

    i don´t see a difference ^^

  • Muay thai has a different stance, form, and set of rules. Muay thai uses more elbow and knee techniques and are great in clinch. Kicks and lethal punches are a bonus.

In Kickboxing you get taught how to elbow and knee but in the U.S. you cant do that in the ring. So naturally the Kicking and punching is a bit more on point with them. in Japan u can elbow and knee so they just say that its the same thing.

    Does that help?

  • that isn't kickboxing, that is muay thai.
