  • We can discuss all Day , but certanly its a power spiker, as Milkovic, Watzly and others, but the thing is that the powefull attack of all times, Belongs to an argentinian Player, Quiroga, Opossite player, who have the sad record of provoque a cardiac stop on a player from 1 spike, also, lots of broken fingers and teeths, lol, u can check it, USA seoul olympic team says about him he was the POWERFULL player they played Against,MPV Italian league too, and Kiraly was one who says it

  • best ever my ass, he is good, but no where close to the best, and talking about power, Matey Kaziyski hit 10 times hard them him, and he hits range as well.

  • Does it not frustrate anyone else how loose his shirt is?

  • it sucks because i'm a huge USA fan, but i actually feel bad for the other team hahah

  • on April 24, 1999, Clayton Stanley showed a glimpse of the future as he unleashed his WRATH on ucla to the tune of 50 Kills...saw the DESTRUCTION & DEVASTATION firsthand as Clay simply ignored the block and pounded kill after kill after kill all over the court...feeding of his focus and tenacity, Hawaii stomped ucla in 4 games....playing at a level far above mere mortals, Lord Stanley created his first masterpiece...

  • Not graceful? As in his approach? Sure, he doesn't have a quick 5 step, crazy adjustments in between, approach to bomb a weird fast paced set which confuses blockers. But did you see that line shot he snuck in? Stanley is one of the best players in the game because he combines power with range. That takes a lot of coordination to pull off.

  • Clap, clap clap.. Pro... getting the job done to win. I respect that.

  • IRAKLIS THESSALONIKI STANLEY ACESSSSSSSSSSS

  • Clay's hits have so much power but I dont nkow, he himself seems slow though.

  • @vietxdexless he's number one dude watch the championship game of the 2008 olympics if you wanna see him at his best, trust me watch that video and you will find him the best

  • i definitely want to marry this guy. so amazing

  • TURN BACK TO IRAKLIS!! REMEMBER YOUR LEGENDARY TIME CLAY!!!

  • good swap thought, you buy oil from us we take your old volley stars

  • man, look how much he bends forward in the air. no wonder he generates so much power.

  • why doesnt he play outside? those are usually power hitters right

  • @redington1 not nesscarely, outsides are usually smart hitters, opposites (like clay) are usually the big strong power hitters

  • @Austeenob so your saying hed play outside if he could like place it better?

  • @redington1 Kind of. Every coach and level of play have diffrent line up stratigies. High level world level play generally has the "smart" hitters & good passers OH, and Middles are Tall & good a blocking, OPPO usually the big tall STRONG powe hitter, such as clay, some might disagree due to their personal prefrences but I hope I have helped.

    Austin

  • @Austeenob thanks lol

  • @redington1 no..those are usually ur consistant hitters. ur right side is ur "power" hitter.

  • Omfg why they are playing in the basketball hall? Wtf oO

  • nai itan kai o clayton paihtis tis megaluteris omadas tis europis............IRAKLIS GATE 10 IOANNINA FANS

  • I wouldn't say he is the best, or the most powerful spiker, but he is definitely a very very great player.

  • Hahaha what can you do against Stanley's 70 mph spin serve?

  • Grande jogador!!!!!

  • he's an amazing player, but he's far to be the best. For me, Giba is the best

  • He hits the ball heavy

  • @Gipsyproductions sooooo heavvyyy aha, and its cause he swings his left arm down like that, ive tried it and my hit it sooooo much harderr

  • All these idiots who don't know about Volleyball, Clay is the best. Best Player in the 2008 Olympics!!!!

  • @localflava

Clay is not nearly the best player in the world. I don't know how anybody could say such a thing! His coordination is poor, and looks like he is drunk... The beauty of volleyball is not only in the power of hitting, but in gracious moves, body coordination while playing. Looking at Clay, you can not learn anything but power... Just look at the Brazilian or Serbian team, learn from the player like Dante Amaral, Giba, or Goran Vujevic (retired), Vladimir Grbic (retired) ect...

  • @DonReuf coordination is poor? 0:29, seems right to me. Gracious moves don't win olympics, TEAMWORK, POWER, and playing SMART wins olympics.

  • @DonReuf I disagree bro. You may be justified in saying that he is not the best, but being the best does not mean being graceful...it means doing whatever you have to do to get the job done.

  • @DonReuf your a dumbass. He's is an MVP, a world class athlete and most of all an amazing player. This isnt ballerina class, if you watch a libro there flying all over the place, they look like fish outta water have the time just to keep a ball in play. Being graceful in volleyball gets you half way, being a beast and a complete champion and having sportsmanship gets you all the way. Thats why Clay is possibly the best ever if not already.

  • @localflava well, in your opinion he might be the best player. others may have other favourite players. for example: I think dante amaral from the brasilian national team is the best one :)

  • he should stop being blocked cross court ahaha

  • olympic gold medal team MVP? decent

  • gold medalist and MVP for team not good enough for 08' olympics?

#1 killing stats-ratio from the team and top 10 throughout the league...

  • He's the MAN!!! Love him!!!

  • dang.. hits way hard.. and very nice form too.. body snaps like a transformer we call it

  • His arm wing all the way back then explodes fowards, and he puts his whol body in to it.. Amazing player

  • he hits hella off the net.

  • they play with solid blockers... if they were to hit tighter sets... they will be sure to get roofed most of the time...

Hmong peeps just suck at blocking.. :)

(or rather they are too short and or can't jump to make blocking effecient...)

  • this isn't warm up hitting... and, correct me if i'm wrong, but clay stanley won MVP in the olympics... if this isn't "real volleyball" then i don't know what is.

  • yo thats such a retarded thing to say..anyone can hit hard in warmups...chase budinger isnt real volleyball either..thats just an ignorant statement

  • LMAO

no, he doesn't. It's obvious you don't have a clue about "real volleyball".

I also love how you're arguingf a hit used in "warm up". Laughable.

  • wow what a beast

  • dante amaral of brasil is also great!!!try to watch his videos and be amazed!!

  • That is destructive. I would hate to be at the recieving end

  • Clay Stanley + Lloy Ball = Olympic Gold Medal

  • he's real good, i don't think that there's another player who can hit as hard as him (maybe martin lebl). but Ivan Miljkovic still is the best opposite in the world maybe the best ever

    grz

  • He has the "God Mode" on

  • Damn... Clatyon Stanley is a friggin' beast.

  • fastest serve in the world

  • amazing, this guy used to play for Knack Roeselare in Belgium, the budget of Kazan is 50 times bigger than the budget of Roeselare...

  • Stanley never played for knack roeselare, that was Ivan contreras a mexican opposite who was also bald and realy good (but not as good as stanley ofcourse).

  • What's the name of the song????????????

  • Sinner- Drowning Pool

  • i realize its not the US team but i thought i heard somewhere that they played on the same team in russia and it kind of looked like him

  • Comment removed

  • Clayton Stanley and Lloy Ball are both playing for the Russian team Zenit-Kazan. It used to be named Dinamo-Tattransgaz last 2007-2008 season where they won the championship. They changed the name from Dinamo-TTG to Zenit-Kazan for the season 2008-2009.

  • the setter is lloy ball right

  • i don't think this team stanley played for is the US team... might be a division in Russia? Not sure....

  • or here's an idea don't put any stupid songs on cause i would much rather hear the crowd reaction and the sound effects to it instead of horrifying music that requires no vocal talent!

  • due to copyright law I can not use linkin park songs:-(

  • dam... i thought so.... stinkkss....

  • When youtube was funny they allow use anything

  • put linkin Park's faint back on. that's the only reason why i favorite this video.

  • this song suks... (IMHO)... add back the song track from linkin park... this song does not match the video at all at alllll...

  • this field makes it easy for the referes to see who's on 1st and 2nd row^^ :)

  • *powerful

  • i dunno about most powerful spike...giba, murilo, marshall, Miljkovic, Kazyiski, Pujol, Edin Skoric...like looking at that kill Murilo had in the final? It's pretty hard to say stanley is more poweful than all those guys.

  • They are all great volleyball players but i think Stanley is more powerful in the sense that he is hitting the ball harder, som may jump higher and hit the ball quicker but Stanley hits it Harder..

  • ma siłe ale gra jak kłoda. strasznie wolno

  • jeden z najlepszych atakujących świata

  • damn. He just pounds it.

  • He's bulky and doesn't look like a volleyball player, he has a goofy ass arm swing, it's like a windmill, but fuck does it work, that man can pound it

  • Bomber!!! strong as a bull !!!

  • C. Stanley is da BEST. PERIOD.

  • He is sure strong, but running away from the ball is not being a real volleyball player.

  • Omg, how can you play volleyball in the hall for basketball...

  • The perfect (offensive) volleyball player,of course..

  • I think Wlazly is more powerful!!! He is also a strong defensive player and much younger... So the future will show what he is capable of I guess.

  • Yeah you're right, but LeeMorTatchi said offensive player.. I don't agree on perfect though, but i think stanley is currently a player who could add more to a team than Mariusz Wlazly.. He is said to be a real mentally strong, winner-attitude player as well. And he has experience on his side

  • Yeah... You're right too... I guess we will see what time will give to these athletes... I still love to see Wlazly hit a corner roll shot OVER a few blocks... That boy can JUMP. Wish I could get up that high!!!

  • He plays so weird I enjoy more nimble players like wlazly and kaziyski.

  • I dream a perfect volleyball player with the jump of Leonel marshall, the power of Stanley and the Pipes of Giba and Dante..

  • I think it's more important to have reception and defense skills than the power of stanley. Strong defenses wins championships in v-ball. But of course, anyone would like to have the power of this beast

  • "EVERYTHING" in v-ball wins... best offensive, best defensive, best serves, best pick-ups.. etc... obviously in every sport, being/having the best of everything is the best. having Power is highly essential in v-ball.

  • i dont quite agree.. Technique is much more important. hard hitting comes with technique, not with pure strenght, but it really helps, though. I think what wins is volleyball is balance in a team, technique, experience, and the team that makes the least errors will probably win.

  • XD...

That's what I'm getting at... WITH EVERYTHING that you said... plus the strength/power of the hitters.... = the better team.

a team with everything + less power compared to a team with everything + more power does not "equal".... so in the end.... power wins... :P

    -That's my point.

  • doesn't "with everything" includes more/highest power

  • AAAHHH!! THIS MAN IS AMAZING!!

  • This guy is amazing!!! Doesn't hurt that he's gorgeous...hahaha. He came through when the US needed the points. To beat Brazil and all the other teams...wow! Only wish that volleyball is more popular/televised so I could watch more of him and his team. Just gotta love him!!!

  • C. Stanley and L. Ball, hard to stop when they're togheter, too bad Brazil lost the final.

  • I looooooooove this guy!!!!!!!!!! And I am impressionated how he looks like my boyfriend !!!!I didn´t know him until the Olympiads when he helped to eliminate my Brazil!!!!

  • Big ups to braddah Clay. You da bomb HAWAIIAN.

  • he's something like i've never seen before

they deserved the victory on the olympic games

i'm brazilian and it hurts to see my guys losing

    but they deserved

  • this guy is a force of nature! go clayton!

  • TO CLAYTON: Would you come to PLS someday? In Poland you have many many fans!:)

  • This guy is an assasin...It is amazing how he dominated the Olympics. Nobody has an answer.

  • ele eh incrivel mlhor saque que ja vi

  • wow the is some beastly spiking i mean dame go clay!

  • WOW!!!..AMAZING!!!:)

  • THE CONDORRRR

  • Congrats to Clay and his team for their recent world title. All the best for the Olympics. Clayton is a great person and an amazing athlete. He is very well remembered and greatly missed by volleyball fans here in Thessaloniki. We are so honoured to be his friends. Hairetismata Nikoula, tha sas vlepoume apo thn thleorash!

  • e as pessoas riem quando eu digo que me apaixonei ao primeiro saque ;)) KKKKKKK.

  • Why I don't see in polish tv relations like this... Wlazły is better than Clay;)

  • I agree Wlazly, and Kaziyski are much better.

  • omg he's sucha beast!

  • einai 8eos!!!pl glikos!!!otan htan st irakli dn exana agwna k olo t milousa!!!axxxxxx!

  • mazi me ton Lioy Ball kanan thaumata aftoi oi 2. 2 telikoi champions league mesa se 2 xronia!!!

  • Clay is very powerful. The best server. His serves are like thunders. I think he's one of the best opposites in the game. But also look who's beside him. Lloy Ball, definitely the best setter in the world!!

  • 100% agree with you, both Clay and Lloy were playing in IRAKLIS 2 years ago and I really miss them!

  • His technique sucks to be honest.. it's kinda strange to watch :D....

and the most powerful.. my teammate who is 17 hits almost with the same power so i highly doubt the most powerful thing... anyway his serves are great

  • to be 17 and be compared to clay is something... however, clay is world-class right now. to see him across the net creates fear in the BEST players in the world. i've seen clay in person - from when he was playing for the university of hawaii and the outrigger canoe club teams (usvba, haili tourneys) and up till now. he is the real deal. i hope your teammate continues to get better.

  • I hope the same, only thing that worries me is that he's lazy as hell :D

  • Obviously I don't know every high profile player in the world, but Clayton is probably one of the top ranked servers, and with leading his team to the Champions League championship, it wouldn't surprise me if he was the top ranked rightside in the world right now. And he is a heavier hitter than those aforementioned guys... look at how big he is and how much he crunches on his swings (and serves) Big bounces are heavy balls are diffrnt. Clayton hits a cball when he's front row for more power!

  • granted, he gets alot of power behind him. He might be one of the heaviest, but he's no way the hardest hitter in the world

  • he has such a nice swing

  • Linking Park - Faint

  • great video!!

  • Comment removed

  • I don't think that they have so good serve as Clayton.

  • They can hit.. but power-wise.. stanley's still the strongest...

  • What that song is name????

  • you are right, everybody is shaking when he serves!

  • I knew Clayton in high school...its really awesome he has achieved so much! --Marty--
