  • using rings are great...we do not need all that "supplements industry" behind us.....rings even work for an amateur 45 yrs old guy like me....

    great work out....

i must admit...pussies around here do "fast half way dips or even less"...going all the way down...the way it should be.....

  • That'll put some muscles on ya!

  • When did you begin working out ?

  • @HIURNAMEISTOMMY I started working out a little after 8th grade then I was hardcore into weight training for 4-5 years after that. I'm just now getting back into it.

  • @ckkbleev Nice man ! looks like it worked ! haha .

  • What did your first gymnastics bodies cycle look like? I just got a hold of the book, and am trying to design my first steady cycle.

  • @Aldind2x To be honest, I totally forgot. It was such a long time ago since I've worked out on the rings. I wish I could be more help.

  • Good exercise and one I will try at home. Might have to start doing the laundry though, I think my wife will thank you!

  • GREAT VIDEO, DUDE

I'm a gymnastics coach and I've never seen this particular cross drill. I'll use it tonight. Thanks

  • Thank you! It really means a lot

  • Well I'm glad you got back to the laundry! It's not going to clean itself:)

  • you should keep your head up and maintain correct posture throughout

  • damn you're ripped man.

  • nice workout music lol

  • Not bad! You will get there, no doubt :)

  • hey, not sure if you are trying to get a cross or not, but just a slight tip is watch your elbows on the pull-out portion of the cross and make sure they are locked out. Also, It will make it slightly easier for you if you get a slight false grip on the rings. They can rest right around your wrists! Good stuff though!!

  • what muscle group does this exercise work on?

  • this exercise works the shoulders, biceps (used for stability), some abs, and the outsides of the chest.

  • wow what a body... do you have to work at having such a low BF % or it is mostly natural?

  • i have the luxury of having a naturally fast metabolism. i am not sure how high or low my body fat is right now but the last time i checked (3-4 years ago), it was up to 15% if i remember correctly. i was around 135lbs but now i am 130-132lbs.

  • fast metabolism - i hate you! :-)

looking at this video you couldn't be more than 6-7% BF.

132lbs? how tall are you? you look pretty built.

  • haha i just give the illusion that i have 6-7% bf. when i start to get pumped up, it shows a lot. but i am 5'6".

  • show off... oooh look at me i have a blue laundry basket.

  • haha you crack me up man. That was the coolest looking laundry basket I could find. I knew it would attract people :) Blue is both calming and cool but also gives the illusion that I am balancing on water...yeah

  • @XLN12688 lol

  • Hey man. Staying active is a vital part of life for me too. It helps to stay focused, even when my S.A.D holds me back most of the time.

I've been training consistently an hour a day for the past year and a half. It kinda serves as proof for me that I'm not simply lazy and can and do work hard when I'm not bothered by other people. Keep it up!!!

  • Nice exercise, thank you for showing.

I've wanted some rings for a while now, I think I may have to get some.

    cheers-

  • I just got them towards the end of the olympics and I'm glad I did. they say that gymnastic-type exercise/anything with bodyweight/repetition is very good for building strength and endurance. I'm gonna add some links to the side.

  • Yeah, bodyweight exercises are pretty effective at building strength other vital components of fitness.

I have been training for a year or so,to which bodyweight exercises make up the majority of my workout and from what I can tell they seem to work well. :)

  • holy shit!! you're ripped as hell!

  • haha thanks, i've been trying to keep a steady workout schedule but it's kinda hard with work and stuff...but let's see where i am in a couple of weeks :)

  • CHRIS IS POWERFUL!!
