@carnright it uses a membrane, not a reed. the membrane can be made from a peice of thin plastic (plastic bag or similar). If you search YouTube for 'How to make a membrane pipe' you should find some helpful videos

Its a sound you dont usually see people achieving in particular with straws. I wonder how he made his reed-like things? I guess a bit like a membrane but with straws. I love this though!

Yeah you need a bag to have the pedal note(s).

yeah, can't call it a bagpipe without the bag. A balloon or a large tanned cow bladder would give you enough air to take breaths between notes.
