i think you did great. you have a nice position in the walk, trot, and canter. The only thing i would have to say is dont fold so much; just stand up in the stirrups more to get your butt out of the saddle. when you start jumping a little higher like 2'6", you'll find out why you don't want to fold. haha i found out the hard way.

Ok, you've been jumping...not long, right? Two feet? LUCKY! I had two lessons last summer, a random lesson a long time ago, and was forced to jump a foot when I wasn't even riding for a year. You don't know how lucky you are.
if you lean forward then your just gonna make your horse go faster. if ur talking about jumping, then i wouldn't know. my bad. but in SADDLESEAT you lean back in the canter and sit your ass down
Good job! Is Riley gaited? idk I'm a little brain dead right now. My Tenesse walker is tons of fun to jump with but they can be very challanging when doing small jumps. (or so I've experienced)

That was good, but i have just alittle friendly advice, try not to go down so low on his neck cause you wern't jumping that high so you don't need to go down as low and try to release with your hands up his neck more, i know i don't always follow this but i getting alot better at it, so this is just some advice, but keep up the good work, and you look good at the canter =-)

Well, as for advice, I noticed on the 2 ft, in slow mo, you can see how Riley wanted to add an extra stride in. Well, on the clip before the two foot, I noticed as Riley landed, you went forward. That is dangerous. Next time try and sit back. Dont lean forward because you can faceplant. And I promise you, that dirt is not chocolate! Good Luck!
beautiful...here's a helpful pointer: try to release your hands forward so you dont catch your horse's mouth over the jump and keep you heelps down a bit. nicely done! Riley seems like a very wonderful horse!
I didn't measure the jump, but once an advanced jumping class was going on, and a woman next to me said they were jumping 1 foot 6 to 2 feet, and the jumps were a bit higher than my waist! If I stood next to yours, it would be way under my waist.
Whatever your trainer is doing is totally working for you and Riley ! I watch each one of your videos since I'm a subcriber and I am amazed at how much improvement I see inbetween each video ! Great job !

i really dont see the point in psoting videos but saying that noone can critizise you. its hard to make it very far in riding if you cant handle some critisizm. trust me, i learned the hard way. but it made me a better rider. what are you going to do when you start showing? if you dont place as high as expected are you going to blame it on the judge? not trying to be mean. but look at my videos or anyone else's videos. no matter how good you are, there is always room for improvement =D
i can handle NICE criasizum ppl r very rude about riding espically mine it brings my confidence down and that doesnt help me at all!!! and my trainner tells my lots of stuff and what i need to improve but thanks and i have made it very far in my riding! and i dont blame ppl it doesnt make scence to blame ppl
i watched this again and i just have one more tip that i think will really help.
it seems that you have trouble keeping your hands on riley's neck for the crest release. a very simple way to fix that is by grabbing a small chunk of mane right about where the martingale strap is. this will keep your hands more steady which will help improve your balance and release

I agree that she shouldn't threaten to hurt people but I think her hands have actually gotten soooo much better than before and riley doesn't seem to be negatively reacting at all to anything. I think she's suchh a good rider and seeing how quickley she's progressed already is amazing! So obviously there are still things to tweak but she'll figure them out. Awesome riding!!! :D

heyyy not bad! is this ur 5th time jumping....did i read that write? riley is adorable.....and he got nice and dirty for ya lol cute and honest eye.......but u didn't do badd jumping keep working maybe u will b in the olympics lol :)

Yay your jumping! your both looking really good!!! just remember "jumping isnt about how high you can jump it's wether you and your horse can jump without refusing,knocking the rail or bad position" you guys are doing fabulous though and keep up the great work :D lol and if you ever think your not making any progress just watch some of the recent vids of me n magic (we've been at it for 3 years) and we still have our bad days! so even the best of us loose out remember that aye :) great work!!!

do u use a tom thumb bit =p i got one yesterday for my lessons horses 4.5 well my instrutor said get that one but it might be a btio small ;/ and i might have to get a full brow band to go with it

wow!!1 you and riley have made great progress!!!! your luckey to have come soo far!!! i could never do that if i had a horse! i do jump 2 feet but not on a horse named daisy shes only 5 and we didnt train her yet! but i love her! and you and riley are great toghether dont ever sell him!! never!! you love him and he loves you!!!

i really dont see the point in psoting videos but saying that noone can critizise you. its hard to make it very far in riding if you cant handle some critisizm. trust me, i learned the hard way. but it made me a better rider. what are you going to do when you start showing? if you dont place as high as expected are you going to blame it on the judge? not trying to be mean. but look at my videos or anyone else's videos. no matter how good you are, there is always room for improvement =D

i can handle NICE criasizum ppl r very rude about riding espically mine it brings my confidence down and that doesnt help me at all!!! and my trainner tells my lots of stuff and what i need to improve but thanks and i have made it very far in my riding! and i dont blame ppl it doesnt make scence to blame ppl

i watched this again and i just have one more tip that i think will really help.
it seems that you have trouble keeping your hands on riley's neck for the crest release. a very simple way to fix that is by grabbing a small chunk of mane right about where the martingale strap is. this will keep your hands more steady which will help improve your balance and release

you are doing awesome. one tip if you dont mind. its easyer *from my point of veiw* if you try to go in your half seat as the horse is jumping. just my point of veiw and opinion. not being critical just tip. Riley loves jumping btw. your good at it too.

you are improving at least your not jumping over slightly raised poles anymore!But there is just one thing that i cant help but just watchi n ur vids.........YOUR HANDS you move them up and down all the time it will hurt poor rileys mouth apart from that good riding and umm isnt it a bit rude to threaten to hurt ppl b4 theyve even watched the vid??

I agree that she shouldn't threaten to hurt people but I think her hands have actually gotten soooo much better than before and riley doesn't seem to be negatively reacting at all to anything. I think she's suchh a good rider and seeing how quickley she's progressed already is amazing! So obviously there are still things to tweak but she'll figure them out. Awesome riding!!! :D

Her hands bounced up and down before, but clearly she's improved a lot because she's keeping her hands more steady now. And obviously if Riley doesn't mind, then it's not an issue.
