  • I honestly love hetalia but yeah the fangirls do SERIOUSLY piss me off.

  • I think why peopel think that the show should go indepth to all the dark sides of history is because that's how our history books are wrighten (many on what our enamies do). The show works better as a light harted comedy

  • @animefan6753 call me crazy but... I do not study AT ALL. The day before my big social studies final, I watched hetalia like all day. I wasn't using it for studying, I just felt like watching it. When I saw the actual test, there were so many answers I got from hetalia! Because at the time we were studying about the world wars. Yet I never paid attention in class, ever. So thank you Hetalia for helping me raise my grade, I got an A-! Haha I got issues..

  • @imthefunnygirl good for you! I am not trying to bash ya.

  • Defend the show's honour?

    Hetalia still has -honour-?

The show was not dark because of controversy. Himaruya was already on a slippery slope, and he didn't want to go into that sort of territory.

I think though to say that Himaruya never intended the Ho Yay is a ridiculous idea though. I mean, Chibitalia, among else. Granted, the fanbase took it up to 11.

I don't feel that relationships are a problem. Again, national personifications have been around forever.

  • @FangzV Ahhh...sorry about the "honour" thing. My parents are English, and that was initially how I was taught to spell. Lately it's been creeping into my writing lately. And I agree that the word was not the best thing I could've used to describe it...I'll change the description.

To be honest, I had completely forgot about Chibitalia. But I still believe that was just to show the deep foreign ties between the Holy Roman Empire and the Kingdom of Italy. Every other pairing is purely fan-based.

  • @FangzV (Ran out of characters....) But still I want to thank you for your input. That's all...

  • England is a girl but the UK is a boy (: I will let Hetalia get away with that, some history jokes are ok but.... making fun of war is not smart or funny. T_T

And what rely aggravates me is people using this show as their history book, also I hate the fan base to this show they try to speak smart but they end off being very offensive.

  • @peaka567 exactly i like the show! But those who use it as a replacement for a history book have issues.

  • @animefan6753 I could not agree more! Hetalia has gotten me more /interested/ in history. So much so that I go out and do more research. But Hetalia is mostly filled with fun facts that, though interesting, pose no real value. So people should not use it as a studying tool. ^^

  • @awsomeness234 yup i have been a historynerd since i was like in 5th grade or 4th grade. Annnyways, i only recently got into hetalia. I mean if it gets you intrested in history and you wanna learn more by researching or reading a damn book then that's a-ok. I know somone who told me that she was gonna use it on the ny state world history regents at an anime convention me and my other super beast hetalia cosplayer buds were like what the fuck, then we lol'd I wish her luck on that. she needed it

  • Your points are very true. I am a fan of the show and one person said that History fans should not like like it. I <3 history and i love hetalia so yeah. Get better ok!

  • @animefan6753 Wow...people are still wishing me well...should I feel loved? XDD But thank you for agreeing with me.

  • @awsomeness234 no problem

  • I hope you feel better soon! :)
