I mean you can only get dual exhaust for this car (any V or W engine car). If you prefer you can get dual tips that come off the muffler which some people prefer.

There is no such thing as a quadruple exhaust (to my knowledge) because it would unnecessary. A true dual exhaust has two headers, catalytic convertors, etc. A quadruple exhaust would require the same thing except four of everything. Exhaust systems are relatively large and quadruple exhaust would just waste space and add weight without adding any performance whatsoever.

It is not super charged. It's a 4.2L V8 N/A. That whine you hear is the timing chain (instead of timing belt). It's addictive =)

My first buy is gonna be...well..a short shifter, but my second buy is definitely this exhaust! been doing a lot of surfing around and this one sounds the meanest by far! is this just the catback system with stock down pipes or is this the sound with the AWE downpipes too?

No doubt that it's sweet, but as far as sophistication goes, it's really not better than an M3 or a CTS-V, both of which have beaten this car on the twisties and the straights. U say "fuck US autos", but when it comes down to it, I'd give the V a good hard look before dropping 46K on an S4.

Hmmmm, somehow I don't think I'd be attempting to race with a V or an M3 when it's raining. That's kind of a dumb thing to do with a 50K plus car. I guess if you lived in an area with shitty weather, then the audi would be the way to go, but most serious performance saloons are RWD only. Sure AWD is great in the wet or snow, but on dry roads the benefit is negligible. AWD adds weight. Simple as that. More weight = poorer performance numbers and increased thirst. Just like an SUV ;)

AWD also gives you more traction which would be helpful in racing. Instead of skidding, you would go around the corner. I will give you that they get worse fuel economy. One of the most iconic sports car of all time would have to be the Porsche 911 which is AWD. I saw a 911 on Super Cars Exposed and it got a better time than a Ferrari (360???0 and a Lotus Exige. The porsche had a better up hill and down hill time.

I would agree with you to a certain extent. Awd is a viable performance characteristic. I'm not going to waste everyones time explaining this. If you want proof, type in top gear audi s4 vs m3. there is your proof. 1 whole second faster then the m3 and almost as fast as the lambo murcielago.(all on dry pavement)

M3's are inline 6's not V6'S. BMW does in fact use turbos. The new 330i has a 3.0 liter twin turbo I6 in it with 300 bhp and a nice mountain of torque. This Audi is definietly not turbo'd. Audi is/has been notorious for nasty turbocharged engines though.

- The previous M3 is a V6 and sounds no where near as cool as a V8 and never will.

- The new (2008) M3 is a V8 so it may sound like that but also, BMW doesn't use turbo chargers.
