  • Great tone! What volume was the vibroverb at?

  • Love them all..please make some more test on each of them..

  • I like them all, but that Two Rock sounds superb with the strat!

  • @ippazzi Awesome tone(s) and demo. I've watched all of your videos and am in love with your playing. What scale(s) are you using here? It sounds too exotic to be just a pentatonic...maybe a little bit of A Dorian? Or are do you just use notes that sound good, based off of muscle memory?

  • @cowboycliche022 Hey thanks for your kind words! I mainly solo based of the pentatonic but do have a mish mash of things in there that is simply based off of years of trying different things... im not really scales/theory guy... so im afraid i cant be any more specific than that.

  • Which one would you keep? I am looking a Two Rock 10th Anniversary 1x12 combo.

  • Brilliant tone, great demo video, shit microphone.

    WHY!?

  • @Richo18 i hear you on the mic... the amps were up loud enough for the tubes to begin to saturate... unfortunately this was a touch too much for the mic we used :(

  • 4:46, belt is forgotten.

    4:53, pants are vaporized.

That vibroverb sounds incredible. (not like any of them sound bad!)

  • vibroverb has a punch that the others don't, fuller tone than the 2 rock.

  • Great playing bro. Nice touch and beautiful phrasing.

  • Nice painting. Is it yours?

  • @vernon408

Thank you. Painting is by JoEllen Petronzi. Subject is the site at Delphi Greece overlooking the ruins of the Temple of Apollo. Parnassus mountains, home of the nine muses is in the background. Painting from photo taken on site by the artist.

  • is that an l5?

  • @andreaswindfeld did you sell the vibroverb yet?

  • @mrcanible Not yet!... message me at ippazziband at gmail dot com if your interested

  • Who cares about the demo's???, i could just listen to you play all day

  • where did you get the two rock? what model is it?

  • what chords are in the loop ?

  • @MrJguitarH Can't remember. Sorry my friend.

  • how much cost that two rock amp in euro's? :$

    i badly love that amp

  • Vibroverb sounds the best to me!

  • Amazing tone! I'm curious, what Seymour Duncan Antiquities do you have in the strat? Are they the Surf set? I was looking at them, or maybe a set of Fralin Blues Specials or even the Seymour Duncan Antiquity Texas Hots? Too many pickups, so little time...an money.

  • @joesl8 I would guess they are Texas Hots... but not positive... Thanks for listening.

  • thanks for that man!

  • this is realy Nice man nice with a big N lol

what foot pedals are all that ones?

  • @MrJguitarH Thanks a bunch! Im using a few different things... Maxon analogue delay, zendrive, and maybe a tube streamer...

  • what kind of strat is that? It really sounds amazing!

    Great video!

  • @Andyvswild Thanks, its actually a guitar made by Matt Brewster of 30th street guitars in Manhattan. The pickups are seymour duncan antiquity's.

  • You play AWSOME...!!

The Vibro sounds best to me..

Got an '65 Twin Reverb, looove it.

  • vibroverb has the best tone, any will do tho! two rock seems to make great sounding amps

  • hey mate,

have you tried Two Rock Studio Pro? If yes, can you tell us how it sounds compared to the Jet? Also have you tried Headstrong Lil King S? Headroom wise, which of the 3 has the biggest?

Just want to know which amp to get, wanting a really nice clean amp. Liking the 1 channel idea of the Studio Pro

    Cheers

  • Nice guitar. What model is that?

  • did you sell the vibroverb? I'm looking for one, i have a '64 Tremolux love it

  • @StevenChandlerArtist Not yet. Send me an email greg@ippazzi.com if your interested.

  • Hi man! I am looking for a light combo and a GREAT clean tone. Do you think that my amp is the TwoRock Jet?

  • @VelhosNovos I LOVE the clean tone on the Two-Rock. It all depends on how loud you need the amp to be... what venues your playing. I'd recommend getting the jet with the 6L6s just to be certain it stays clean for longer.

  • Hi man! does Vibroverb have a good clean headroom?

  • @VelhosNovos Absolutely

  • @ippazzi thanks man!

  • That sounds damn sexy man, geez lucky guy. :-)

  • i like that painting

  • what are the settings on the tube screamer?

  • Fender Amp rule !!!

  • It's a shame you didn't push the vibroverb a bit more (vol on about 6). That is when you will really hear it at its best. Sadly that level is also going to upset the nieghbours too but what the hell, you gotta hear that vibroverb at a higher volume setting to truly appreciate its tone. nIce chops though.

  • Thanks for a good demo of these amps. This may have been asked before, but is your '64 Vibroverb actually that, or is it the re-issue? Also, where are you on the volume controls during your demo?

  • @victorgoldfarb its the real deal all original... with a new eminence 15" speaker. Vol controls varied on each amp... the vibro was the lowest respecitvely probably around 3-4 cant remember exactly...

  • Hey man, what pickups are in the strat you're playing?

  • @CoreyRuppMusic They are seymour duncan antiquitys.

  • Two Rock is absolutely amazing. In your opinion what is the best amp that could get me somewhere near this tone for $1000 approx. Currently use a blues junior texas red but would like a bigger tone. Woould a deluxe reverb reissue do the trick?

  • @dkfone a good step up from the blues junior is the Deluxe reverb. My father has one and they sound pretty great stock. You can also experiment with different speakers and tubes and get even better tone out of them. I like the celeston or eminence speakers.

  • sorry if i sound stupid here or attract any salty looks but just wanna know is it possible to get an amp producing almost similar tones from the two rock, like similar circuitry parts and all but Without the brand name? (i don't mean counterfeit) :/ paying over 7-8 grand for one to me is a luxury i think i can do without but don't get me wrong, i'm asking this cos i love these amps.. Thanks for any help i can get haha

  • @popcorny11, If you are looking for that really nice Bass frequency and high end clarity, I would heavily suggest checking out the Fender Blues Reissue series. If you are looking for power there is the 4x10 Fender Blues Deville reissue which is phenomenal, But if you are looking for a small amp with uncanny tone, the 1x12 Blues Reissue is THE most solid 1 speaker amp I've plugged into.

  • @62Hotrod603 THANK YOU so much man hahaha i thought i was just asking silly questions cos the truth is you always get what you pay for. I understand that fact but as a 20yr old still studying in university, why the hell in my right mind would i throw down 8k on an amp unless of course i plan to make it a career. so Yes thanks alot i'll go check it out! how much is the market price for the Fender Blues Deville reissue?? btw im a huge fender fan haha :)

  • @popcorny11 No Problem dude that's not a silly question at all because I am in the exact same boat. the 1x12 Blues reissue is something like 7-800 bucks? if you step it up to the 4x10 for $1,000 it really delivers. However I have noticed, that with the 4x10, I lose a little bit of that fat punch with bass notes, however that could just be some tonal issue. But yeah man, definitely test them out and give them a whirl! You won't regret it.

  • I have a custom "blonde" vibrolux 1995 and sounds very similar. It's a mellow, rounded, dynamic, warm, magic sound.

  • is that a gibson l5??????

  • im ordering my zendrive today!!! cant wait to jam on it

  • whats that green pedal with 2 F-switches?

  • Seems like you can't go wrong with any of them, and then there's always the option of putting different speakers in each, too...

  • They all sound great but Two Rock is King!

  • someonee is a john mayerrr fannnn, sounds great

  • Very hard to choose in between. Very interesting since we are talking about Tone and personalities. All 3 sparkles. Playing in the room with a Budget teaser, hummmm. Let's talk about harmonics. You got them all so... Thanx for the demo. Nice job. Conclusion, making a deal in any of them will liberate a great Tone anyhow.

  • the headstrong, the one on the left, what model is it? 2x10? or 1x12?

  • 2x10

  • Hi, Ippazzi a simple question..how you have set the headstrong, i refer to treble, middle and bass setup. Thanks!

  • really great stuff... was that the SRV song Raining In Texas at the end?

  • It's called texas flood by srv. Really great gear man

  • My fav list

    1. Jet

    2. Headstrong

    3. Vibroverb

  • John Mayer setup!!!! jealous, nice playing to bro. how much was our L-5, 7,000?

  • is the jet the jet signature or the normal jet? am thinkin about gettin one !!

  • LOL, I love this jam!!! Its so sick my man!

  • hi, is that the two rock jet amp? cheers!

  • tis indeed.

  • Comment removed

  • Hey all, Thanks very much for your kind and inquisitive comments! I've received a few questions about the chords on the loop... i'll try and remember what they were and post a quick demo explaining them when I get a chance. Thanks again everyone!

  • dude i wanna jam to ur loop soo bad..is there any way u can put up the chords or tabs? I'd really appreciate it...and ur totally amazing..just nailed it!!!!

  • Yes, this is really awesome ! I think Mayer would love to jam with you ~

  • Great Demo! I love the 64 Vibroverb the best, although, when playing more of single notes, riffing some blues licks the Two-Rock seemed to have a better SRV tone, if that's what your looking for.

Anything special with your strat (pick-ups)? Great job bro!

  • damn man. Great playing.

  • I've listended to this before, and I heard this time the TR sounding a little more "boxey" this time around. Have you ever played a Jet head through a 1x12 cab, that would be a great comparison IMO, as cost is virtually the same.

  • i think the fender sounds best

  • great playing and tone...are there any amp under a 1,000 that gives nice tones compared to a two rock??

  • i have a peavey valveking its pretty good, i do find it lacks in clarity though

  • Comment removed

  • two-rock work good with a fuzz?nice demo man!!

  • why do you copy john mayer so much?

  • Maybe he thinks Mayer has really good tone? He is considered by many to have the best tone in the world (myself included). And even so whats wrong with playing one of the best archtop (L5) and an amp with one of the cleanest sounds in the world? (Two Rock) I'm super jealous I want an L-5. The strat speaks for itself cause its the most popular electric guitar in the world..

  • wonee is right. JM has arguably the best tone today. He's one of the best guitar players alive...and certainly one of my biggest influences.

  • I'm sorry to sound negative, JM is a huge influence on me and he does have amazing tone. I was just taken back when I saw that big jazz box that is the same as JM's from the Where the Light Is DVD.

  • why do people copy hendrix and srv? because they are bad ass just like john.

  • true.but you should say john is badass just like them. man don't get me wrong, mayer is awesome, but he isn't even in the same galaxy as SRV or Hendrix.

  • I would definitely take the two rock amp (if i could afford it).. plus its smaller.. I heard the vibroverb is too loud for home.. thats what anthony from stevie snacks said..

  • If you could, could you do a lesson on what your doing what are you doing when you play that loop just love learning new things..

  • hey all thanks for your comments! To answer some questions...the pedals used were a maxon 999 analogue delay, a zendrive and tube screamer ts9 (unaltered).

  • Aghhhh, I still can't decide what tone I like more... the archtop or the strat. Guess I love both! Man, love the tone you're getting in this video, can listen to this jam all day!

What kind of pedals are you using on the solo lines?

  • hey man..you see john mayer was using a jet at the hotel cafe..pretty cool..never seen him with one before..

  • is that a gibson L5... the eric clapton version.

  • Clapton has a few. I think the one he usually plays has p90s in it so uhh I would say no?

  • What kind of two rock amp is that? And how much do they go for?

  • JET... i think it's about 3500

  • All sounds really great!:D. I probably prefer the vibroverb.

What strat is that? It sounds and looks killer! Which pickups etc?

    Thanks man:D

  • great great tone!

  • nice brotha!!!...all 3 great!!!

  • Is that a Jet or Jet Signature amp?

  • Regular jet.

  • How does the bass of the jet combo sound? I had heard they are a little light-on bass wise but this sounds great!

How's the bass compare to the other two amps in this vid?

    Cheers mate

  • Not at all... the tubes are 6L6... 35 watt version. The bass is great. I've never had an issue with any part of the range on the Two-Rock. The vibroverb with the 15 definitely has more bass though if you crank it.

  • is that a keeley modded ts-9 or just a normal one? Great playing!

  • just a normal ts-9. Thank!

  • m8 what are the chord u are playing on the loop it is soo good!!

  • you know im not sure... i think some kind of an open A minor thing... i have to go back and figure that one out :) Thanks for the feedback.

  • Mate, any chance of a demo of the Jet on its own please? Really interested in this amp

    Cheers

  • check out my video two-rock meets loop station...this is just the jet and a strat ...may be what your looking for.

  • def want that jet. is it a standard jet or signature? ive never had the priviledge of playing a two rock, but i want to save for one.

  • this is a standard jet. Its really phenomenal!

  • What valves were in the jet? 6V6 or 6L6?

Sorry with all the questions, but is a Jet a good around the house combo?

    Ta

  • just holding that L5 would be enough for me to shit my pants in joy

  • Wow, they all aound amazing. I would find it very hard to chose. I think the Headstrong maybe, but heck, I'd have any one of them.

  • GREAT!!!

    Good sound, very good playing...

    Congratulations!!!

Please, wich model is the Headstrong?

  • hey thanks so much. This headstrong is a 63 vibroverb replica... so it has 2 10s and runs off of 6L6s.

  • what pedals are you using? just curious

  • I'm running through a maxon 999 analogue delay and i think i used an ibanez TS9 and a Zendrive briefly.

  • the two-rock does it for me.. - nice rig and nice playing man!

  • thanks!

  • The tone on all of them is AMAZING MAN!

  • Yeh these are great amps! Thanks for listening!

  • thanks for doing this!

i always wanted to hear these amps played with sweet bluesy licks....really love your playing...you play some really cool licks after 5.. what where they? thanks again

  • wow that l5 is HUGE

  • yeah, it even looks huge on john mayer..he's like 6'3 or something

  • The tones you are getting with the strat are pretty amazing. I think it's one of the closest, if not THE John Mayer tone...

  • Cool video. Its nice to hear the differences when they are side by side, each amp has their own thing goin on. What level did you have the Jet at?

  • I think i had both the master and gain up half way. Vibro up to 4 and the Headstrong at maybe 6... the tubes were definitely cookin.

  • To bad the mic on your video cam is clipping a bit, it is affecting the sound. They all sound great though!

  • very cool. the whole thing was fun to listen to. two rock wins big in my opinion--huge sound out of that little thing-- but there's nothing wrong with any of them. also--nice L5, man--nice friends to lend you these things

  • i know right! Thanks for the comments. I definitely agree with you.
