There are really great metalcorebands.

But no one forces you to listen to metalcore.

And in flames are not really metalcore nowadays.

They are only playing very trivial modern metal nowadays.

I still listen to new bands, and like what some of them do. I like so many styles in music as well, not only metal. Metalcore is just a trend, no more, as I have seen so many through all my life. I like so many styles of metal as well, but in particular, as i posted first, i don't fucking like the "Gay breakdowns" of metalcore, and is only my opinion, I don't fucking care if you or one million more like metalcore shitty bands. Yes, I say shitty, so what? I posted here, only because i like DZ!

not every metalcore song includes breakdowns.

Heaven Shall Burn songs for example have more classical meatl breakdowns and not those typicall hardcore breakdowns.

Even At the Gates have many breakdowns.

Metalcore btw. is not just a trend.

I like some breakdowns on metal; But on metalcore, it sound allmost like Hip Hop stuff, and i DON'T like it, as simply as that, i am not ino hip hop, i am not into nu metal and I am not into this combo of hip hop+nu metal+metal called metalcore. If HeavenSB has not the typical breakdowns of metalcore, is OK, but sincerely, i am not really motivated to listen that band anyway. About the age of metalcore, is still not clear when numetal died and metalcore emerged. but i don't give a shit =)

Nu Metal is more some kind of hybrid of metal and hiphop but metalcore is (as the name says) a hybrid of hardcore and metal.(like many other "core" genres too: grindcore, deathcore, whatevercore)

i think nu metal never really died because it had a big impact on modern music.

I like many metalcorebands and love playing it on guitar, so I dont have to care.(but I have nothing else to do, so I comment and comment.:P)

Man, just because media says or try to "establish" metalcore as "a mix between hardcore and metal", that's simply not a fact. Sometimes media is pretty wrong, and labels only confuse people, so just listen to the music and you will understand that metalcore has many things in common with nu metal. Anyway, at the end, all is music, so I simply return to my first post: I don't like the gay breakdowns on metalcore. =D Stay heavy dude!

ok it is melodic death metal u know u have 2 schools in sweeden, the styles have changed a little (too much for me) in the past few years but this is melodic death metal for sure dudes maybe its a little heavier than first inflames/soilwork records but just remember chainheartmachine and that's pure melodeath.

clean vocals dont make melodeath metal core, its the song structure and the gayass repeatitive tremolo played notes - eg : bullet 4 my valentine, playing a chord and then 3 times the same note ( on G string mostly) that's an explanatory example.
