one of the best spot for fishing shad is at the qubec/ontario boarder. 2 hours from ottawa. usually can catch 20 fish easily in an afternoon

Damn, those are some big shad. Ours here on the CT river average around 3 lbs, the record is 9 lbs 4 oz. I haven't seen a shad over 6 lbs in at least 6 years. stripers and gill-netters are taking them down. nice fish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!!!!!!!

In Bama, we got big catfish, bass, bream, crappie, stripe, carp, pickerel, trout, shellcrackers.......But the biggest shad I ever did see was only bout a pound.......cool

I second that,and if keeping them fresh matters,one can use a cooler,or aerated keeper,but taking the fish out of water,the in,then out and so on is so cruel even if u gonna kill it at end

hey i was fishing under the pie Ix bridge today it was incredible!!! i casted a worm for about 20 minutes my drag starts to scream , so i grabed my rod hooked it right away. After about 10 minutes of reeling in it was a 45 inch sturgeon wow i ws about to cry for joy when i caught it. And im 14 years old been fishing for 9 years.

2 minutes to get that shad in? Man you must have had some light gear??? 6 lb test for me and I bring em in in 30 seconds flat. brought home 14 shad for 3 hours of fishin last sunday. You want some big shad fishin come on down to Oregon.
