I'm the lead singer of a world touring Nirvana tribute band...Performing the songs as close to the originals as possible is a major requirement. Plus, would you sit happily and watch a Nirvana Tribute act if the guy singing looked more like say - Adam Sandler or someone? I think not man. Also,I have looked like this since The age of 10 I'd say,I'm now 28 (since Sunday).I'm comfortable like this, Its who I am.
