  • Door ajar at 100mph? That can't be safe.

  • mother has this car its a pretty big car so im gnna have it not my sister hell yea i going to customize it and it will be great

  • HAH, yours has the door ajar light issue too huh.

  • i have a 96 LC & the only way your getting 30 mpg is if your using regular & not super..regular will eventually mess up your engine completely & your car will not run well at all..i have always put in super to keep my engine super clean (which it is) & because thats what your suppose to be putting in it..at most ill get 24 MPG using super..idk how your getting 30..if your using regular i suggest you stop right now & pay the extra money for super unless you will cost yourself more with repairs

  • @x24xLAKERSx24x You're so backwards, these cars have more power and get better MPG on SUPER. and Super doesn't keep anything "clean". It simply burns differently. The computer in the Mark VIII WILL pull timing if you are running regular gas and It will get worse MPG and less power. you can read this by a simple google search, And I have a 97 Mark VIII and I get exactly 3 mpg less on the highway If i turn 87 and the car is a turd.

  • dude your running a hundred mile an hour with 1 of your doors ajar.... thats dangerous dough atleast cose the damn door next time.

  • @cavanfamily12345 haha it was closed, the sensor didn't think it was though.

  • @cavanfamily12345 You don't know what you're talking about These cars have an ongoing issue with the Ajar sensors. I'm sure the door was closes and his sensor was just bad.

  • everybody is upset because it's slower then it should be. See the check engine light? He said it's an 02 code which means the engine goes into a default A/F ratio, which is on the rich side, causing a loss in power.

  • I think it might be the pcm or something like that. I replaced the upstream sensors then a couple days later the same code came back. What a bitch...

  • @svtlincoln Oh and I was running 89 octane. If that makes a big diffrence..........

  • 8.1??? somthing must be wrong with your car

    i have a 99 conti and i did it in 7 sec

and i can do it over and over again

  • this thing must be realy heavy because my 1994 thunderbird does 0-60 in 8 sec and it only has 205 horse power

  • @coltonwithano, It weighs about 4000 pounds dry. The thunderbirds weigh around 3600 i believe. Though most continentals do 0-60 in 7 seconds, But so do most thunderbirds. The diffrence maker is the that you have rear wheel drive and probably better gearing for accelleration. I seen your vids though, nice car.

  • @doug1bite -

Weights: gross vehicle weight rating (kg) 2,193, curb weight, so, that * 2.2 = 4824.6lbs

  • what car is this? i hate to say its slow unless its a honda or something, but its not that fast. lol....

    what car is this?

  • No of course not. its just showing an improvement over when my IMRC's wernt opening up; killing my top-end power. Its no charger, but it still pushes you back.

  • @skinnbone260

    Lincoln Continental

  • oh it works good now :)

  • dude i have that car i love it but mine only goes 70 mph probably cause its really old

  • or i would guess something is really wrong with it lol. seriously wrong.

  • Ok I left a comment on your other vid where you had it at like 9 seconds, and it looks like you got the problem figured out.

As said in the other vid, my '95 LC does 0-60 in 8 seconds, so yours should. I am full stock though. No turbos or nothing like that (I want to preserve my 30 MPG highway lol)

  • yeah, it was the intake manifold runner controls. its faster now but it still gets shitty gas mileage lol. a 95 LC? what is the exact make and model? i dont know what car your talking about.......

  • LC = Lincoln Continental. Sorry for the abbreviations lol. You should be getting 27-30 MPG highway, depending on your driving style. I get 30 with an occasional pass.

  • hell no i dont even get close to 30 mpg, the highest i ever got was like 26 strickly highway. my O2 sensor is throwing a code at me so that could be why

  • Definitely Much faster than before.

Get a free diagnostic @ autozone to see what still triggers the Check Engine Light.

Oh yeah, if all your doors are closed and the door Ajar is still on and the interior lights go off, spray some WD-40 in all the Door Jams ( The Look Latch in the side of all the doors).

  • thanks man, i scanned the codes like a hundred times and it always comes out as 02 sensor circuit heater sensor 1 bank 1, o2 sensor 2 bank 2, and manuefactor fuel meter ( cuased by o2 sensor 1 bank 1). so basically all emissions stuff. and thanks that door ajar is annoying as hell. do you know how to do the "washer fluid low" ?

  • Not sure? But the w-fluid sensor could have some residue on it or it's make a false connection to the sensor.

About the locks, after you spray the wd-40 on the latches, open and close the doors a few times that way it cleans out $***. That usually does it.
