Beautiful live video... I'd just have loved to have seen Jeff Porcaro playing drums on this live. Jeff had such a loping, laid-back style that was there on the original studio recording, and I don't think anyone can match it. Certainly Simon Phillips was never able to do so when he took over from Jeff with Toto.

Could anyone help me and explain the meaning of the word "tattoo"? It's in the lyrics here ("ladykiller - regulation tattoo") and in "Fade to Black" ("to be tattooed"). I found a translation into my mother tongue, but to my mind it doesn't suit and I suppose there is an another one meaning.

Mark Knopfler still develops himself, looks ahead, still plays the old songs on tours, just go and see him during the next tour (I' saw him last year on Get Lucky Tour and it was just awsome) -this is today's Dire Straits because DS is Knopfler. Besides he doesn't want to play stadiums these days and doesn't need more money I guess (and that's the main reason for such reunions)

I went to his Brothers in Arms concert in New Zealand in March 1986 and his On Every Street concert in Calgary Canada in 1992 and his Kill To Get Crimson concert in June 2008 in Calgary. I have all his Dire Straits CDs and all his solo CDs. He keeps getting better.

Every time I listen this song reminds me good memories and sad memories. Anyway, I can stop listening it and play it on my guitar too. I can not avoid to shiver between 2.25 and 2.30. And the instrumental part is absolutely brilliant. What´s a shame it was their last Dire Straits album, we really appreciate good music. I can not imagine how did the public and attendance feel in this concert. They only know it.
