  • Those who disliked this saw dead people in boats..

  • I'm playing this solo in a wind band arrangement but unfortunatly the 3 D's in octaves at 1minute have been reduced to bottom D, middle D and no climax to the top D!!! as there it starts to duet with the flute, obviously the arranger did not know how amazing oboes are >.<

  • 6:18

    That is all.

  • prachtig!

  • this music always makes me cry. when I hear it I think of those that fought and died for, and are still fighting for, freedom.

  • before hearing this music I already click in the "I like button" LOL

  • 7 people are going to The World's End swimming... Lol

  • 6 peoples boats didn't get out of the pearls way as she plowed through the locker...

  • 7 people are the dead people i see in boats

  • And in the middle, Jack popps up and says "Hey, I---Oh, right. Be back in a bit....."

  • this part in the movie was so powerful and heartbreaking and the music captured everything but could anyone tell me because i don't remember how her father died:/

  • @MononokeRose91 he was killed by Beckett

  • @themrdude94 thanks, that's what i thought:(

  • the best part is from 0:00 to 1:20 kind of sounds like a funeral song

  • Damn this shit is cash

  • See when you're watching the film you don't get to hear the music properly because of vocals or whatever. So you listen to this and you can appreciate it so much more :)

  • we played this and other songs from pirates in our orchestra. and i can say this was a legit reason to tear up during the concert ;(

  • This is my favorite score from the whole movie gahhh ;___;

  • The last moments of the music is played during the death of admiral James Norringtin.

  • @kittyokittykitty Actually, it's Norrington.

  • @whydidthetilda That was a typo. -_-

  • @kittyokittykitty oh ok.

  • Ehhh o seu primeiro comentário em Portugues é meu

  • @shadowalker125 the sound MIGHT sound LIKE it but it would not be the same nor emote the same. The oboe has a completely different emotional quality and timbre

  • the start is so sad and so cool!

  • @halisan1 It's the oboe ! The best of all !

  • To me, I thought the first seconds from 0:00 to 1:20 was the best part. And before you ask, yes. I´m a guy.

  • It sounds a tad like titanic in places cool!

  • 0:00 to 1:20 is the best

  • i play that solo on trumpet and im a fucking beast!

  • this makes me so happy to play the oboe. no other instrument can capture this emotion <3

  • Amazing! The beginning instrument is a trumpet correct? There are a few points where it sounds so much like an oboe, especially after it hits that really high note.

Well anyways, most beautiful trumpet I've ever heard.

  • @Xternium it is NOT a trumpet haha. it is in fact an oboe

  • @Xternium it's an oboe; you can hear the dark reedy sound and the vibrato is unlike that of trumpet

  • *sob* *blubber* this song makes me so SAD. it reminds me of when elizabeth tied jack to the pole (wrong thing to do when you are kissing jack sparrow) even though it wasnt the same music. but still... *snurp*

  • I played this song on the clarinet last year, we did 4 songs from at worlds end, and on this song i pretty much had a solo, and it was AWESOME!!!! love it!

  • Maybe the 7 ppl how disliked it thought this is gonna be tupid and didnt finish the song... otherwise.. they have to be locked up :O your crazy if ya dont like it! :D

  • I played this part in band last year.... I must say that it was the best part I've ever played on a clarinet. I will never forget it.

  • 2:30 to 2:45.

    Dat Chord progression.

  • sad part... It's scary seeing dead people in boats yea?

  • 6 people also probably don't like music from The Lion King or Dark Knight either.

  • Best song on the sound track. My favorite!!!

  • xD good sountrack

  • This song played when Norrington died :(

  • love the oboe solo :D

  • Fantastic piece of music. Long live Zimmer

  • i love playing the solo in orchestra :)

almost brings a tear to my eye each time.

  • epic movie i cant w8 the fourth one

  • This song sucks after 7:10

  • I played this in orchestra- I played the oboe part on a flute- best piece I ever played! =D And yes, the theme is an oboe part.

  • I want this music on my funeral...

  • @tiiz96 Yo tambien!!

  • This song almost made me cry

Pobre Elizabeth!

  • the 6 people that disliked this will die alone >:)

  • @piratesrule333 hahaha I think no one disliked it xDD

  • @jalex90 nobody should

  • 6:20 to 6:33 is so beautiful...

actually the entire song is stunning :P

  • jalex i love this it is great im doing hoist the colors, sinipore, dead peaple in boats, and up is down for band if you want me to send it to you

  • @BIGgamer117 what do you mean with "for band" is it like the tabs? cuz it would be cool

  • @BIGgamer117 Oh, I'm playing that with my symphony orchestra as well! I play first violin, so I really like my part!

  • @BIGgamer117 is it symphonic highlights from at worlds end?

  • @BIGgamer117 im doing all tose songs too!

  • I really love this soundtrack. Nothing compared with the first movie's one. That is awful!

  • Does anyone happen to know what key this is in?

  • wahnsinns Intro mit Englisch-Horn

    TOP

  • Trust Me.

    Its An Oboe.

Number One, I Play The Oboe, And Number Two, We Are Playing This Song In Our Band Class And I Play That Part.

  • Im playing this song too in bannndd!

  • It's not a Oboe- It's an english-cornett

  • @NewSignatureE cor anglais to be precise

  • @xxTwilightxxFreakxx

That's because high school bad doesn't have English-Cornetts

  • great epic !

  • Most of the titles of the songs from the OST are taken from lines spoken by the actors - so no, it's not insensitive or parodic to say "I see dead people on boats" because that was Ragetti who said it (or was it Pintel - I can't tell which name belongs to whom) just like how another song is titled "I don't think now is the best time".

  • this isn't just music Jalex, this is a really good soundtrack! :D

  • Btw the instrument is an English Horn...not an Oboe. :)

  • no it's not!! It's an OBOE!!

  • Clearly you're mistaken.

  • Hmmmm, I find this strange because the Symphony I am in is playing this and our Oboe player is doing the solo part.

A different version maybe? I dont know, but the Oboe is a definite possibility.

  • It's a so sad song, but it is so beautiful... I can't describe what I feel, when I listen to this song..

  • very pretty song...

  • 6:19 to 7:09 it's too beautiful

  • you're right! it is beautiful! *wipes eyes with tissue* lol x] but no really its really cool!

  • i play this song on trumpet as soon as it starts thats a trumpet solo =D

  • 6:19

  • i reeeally want the songs... how do i get them??

  • Buy the soundtrack at a music store.

  • right use free youtube to mp3 converter

  • you buy them

  • i just wish it was a little bit better quality. :(

  • this is the best music ever.......... EVER!

  • i luv this song, but it reminds me of my father

  • Favourite soundtrack song <333

  • i'm using this as an inspiration for my music theory project. actually, all the music/melodies that i'm using for help are from pirates of the carribbean, hans zimmer is the best.

  • Hans Zimmer is a pure genius! I believe he is one of the greatest composers of our era along with Danny Elfman and John Williams I think that the three of them create music so amazing that its ridiculous how people think "classical/scores" are stupid and boring.

There's no limit to where this kind of music can take you because everytime you listen to it there's always something new to discover in it! One of the best works of Hans Zimmer to date I think along with Batman Begins and TDK.

  • I totally agree with you, Ruuisk34.

  • Danny Elfman is one of my all time favorites too! i enjoy listening to all of the different movies that the composers have done and pick out the themes from the other movies. like if you listen to the music in "Gladiator" you can hear a little bit of the "Pirates" theme from it, or vis versa because "Gladiator" came before "Pirates"

  • I completely agree with you. John Williams (my personal favorite) and Hans Zimmer are both absolutely brilliant. Don't forget the James Newton Howard worked on Batman Begins and TDK, also! :)

  • TDK!!! OMG LOVE IT!!!

    The collector's edition IS AMAZING!!

  • 0:00 to 7:09

    That's the best part :D

  • = D xD

  • @TheNati4 ya and 7:10 just sucked

  • Comment removed

  • beast

  • i love it ,is just perfect

  • I played this at my last concert. :D

  • 6:20 - 6:33 oh wow.

    best movie. best soundtrack.

    awesome <3.

  • Breathaking music

  • 5:00 to the end is the best

  • i ment that a certain sounded loke titanic geez i l now this not James Horner

  • You're absolutely wright ! It's almost identical at parts !

  • I just love this piece of music... It's so touching, how this woman who's not seen her father (since she became a pirate, I believe), and she suddenly sees him floating by, and she's helplessly just watching him sail towards oblivion... Doubtlessly one of the most tear-jerking moments in the whole movie! And now I can listen to the music any time I want! Thanks, jalex90!

  • lol

    no problem!

  • I wish the very end of this soundtrack had it's own piece. So beautiful.

  • no it's not from titanic that i'm 1000% sure of

  • and you are xD

  • nop u're completely wrong, Titanic's sountrack is more melodic, this one is epic =)

  • not only do you have the wrong movie, you even have the wrong artist! this is Hans Zimmer not James Horner! they do sound similar but they have distinct differences that only talented people can detect!

  • I love the part at 2:33 - 2:54!!

  • Adding to the "depends on the pirate" thing..

There were some female pirates too. Ruthless killers that enjoyed raping women? Sure, some were, but most wanted money/treasure/adventure.. which in some way got them women, other then having them become rapists...

On another note.. this song is so.... <3 -can't explain-

  • I think it's amazing how after all these years, new beautiful music can still be thought up!

  • this is such a beautiful work...

  • my school band is playing this

  • Can't they be both? Depends on the pirate.

  • This sounds a lot like titanic and a part in up is down =/

  • and teh first part is one day

  • I now

  • I love this movie soooo much!!!!!!!!

  • Argh. This is my solo in the Easter Concert next year.

    =O

  • thank you

  • you are wellcome ^^u

  • "just music "

    lol

  • yeap, even if it's not just music but is for the stupid one who want video xD you know xP

  • good song and sad. Pirates are good man

  • nho only in movie real pirates were monsters

  • I now but this pirates:)

  • Not monsters, only poor people brave enough to rise up against the rich aristocrats commercial dictators of their times, exploiting them...the true monsters were the companies of commerce...but pirates were not saints too...

  • let´s just say pirates was a "necessary evil"

they were no saints but they battled against evil corrupt companys, so evil yet necessary

  • well come on.. it sounds like a bad parody of the movie "i see dead people" If i could have named it i would have called it something epic like "the final sail"

  • true that sounds alot better and very epic

  • ....I love "thinking" music

  • i love this song its full of sadness and happyness

  • this piece was for wen james norrington dies because of bootstrap

  • this song is when she sees her father on the boat with the other bounge of dead people Oo

  • why?

  • @Dragon0932 if your talking about the 6th sense, thhat was a good movie though...

  • good song and sad...

  • is there suppose to be words in this music or is this just music i don't mean the video i mean how it actually is
