  • 5:12 is the best part :P

  • are zen magnets as good as nanodots?

  • NeoCube copied U!!!!! They are fuck!

  • screw this ima play xbox

  • I liked the part from 5:13 the most!

  • diabetic go play with sugarcubes instead of the neocube

  • just think about getting that into a line....

  • I made 8 cones when i realized i only had 216 magnets.... by the way, how many magnets do you have???

  • @PenguinianArmy I have a list on my profile page.

  • @diabetic41 did you ever go to school? or what do you call "life"?

  • I JUST DONT KOW WHY I LOVE THIS!

  • r nanodots the same as the neo cube

  • @DCsk8ing1245 No they are far not the same. Nanodots are much higher quality magnets. Their coating is a lot stronger which makes them durable and the size variance between them is so minimal that allows constructing larger shapes without any problem.

  • @szakiii personally I don't think that you can't say that Nanodots are better, I mean u provide no proof at all.. I have tried both nanodots and the Neo cubes as well as the X3 Cube and I feel as tho They are all just as good as one another I have had each for about a year and they are all still perfectly Par. . Don't give out advice u can't back up.

  • @DCsk8ing1245 yes they are...

  • have you ever had a girlfriend? maybe even a boyfriend or anytype of relationship/ you dont hav a life

  • @diabetic41 Yes, I had. Right now, I've been single for half a year but I'm on the project :)

  • @diabetic41 this is a much better hobby then the shit other people do, troll harder

  • @diabetic41 Oh shut up. You're the one who needs to get a life. I bet you couldn't even begin to create all the cool things Szaki does.

  • watch 1st 10 secs then go to 5:20

  • omg i love hearing those rediculous named like dodecahedron and truncated icosahedron... i swear its another language

  • @RomanNumural9 its not dumbass, its the name of the actual shape

  • @coolguy100ish hehe i know =P and not knowing the name of every geometrical shape does not make me a dumbass... besides he says in another video (i think it was a video if not comments) that he made that specific design and gave it a name that relates to its number of sides, vertices etc.

  • hi i am new to this whole Nanodots NeoCube thing and I'm really interested I was wondering does anyone have any recommendations on what should be my first set like brand and size thanks

  • @joufu10 im new too, i play to buy some in the near future but ive done my research and nano dots seem to be worth the extra money. also again my opinion but it seems the more dots the merrier (depending on wat u plan 2 build) =)

  • Just a big dodecahedron (of awesomness =P)

  • do something cool that us noobs with only the original 216 set can do :(

  • i cnt get the polarities rite and thy always mess up when im putting the cones together.

  • @rubiksturtle Just make sure you build all the triangles from the same line of dots, curving them to the same direction (and don't flip them on the table). When all the 20 are ready, you can even 'attach-test' them to a single one and correct any that's the opposite polarity.

  • @rubiksturtle i know what you mean

  • I have a important question:how much 216 cubes you buyed? because i will buy right now and i want know how much i need to do same things than you.

  • @DANIEL14341 About 2-3 years ago I had 13 Neocube sets, I bought one or two at a time. Then in the autumn of 2009 Nanodots contacted me if I'd like to create videos for them. They sent me 15 sets of v1 Nanodots and later one 10 more v2 sets.

  • @DANIEL14341 *bought buyed isnt a word just lettin u know =)

  • that looks like fun, not

  • I only count 288 dots... 6 per trinagle, 3 triangle per pyramid, 16 pyramids, thats 6*3*16=288

  • @ricktbdgc There are 20 pyramids.

  • oops my bad, 20

  • HOW MUCH DOTS

  • ooo lala

  • I can't help feeling the shiver when you crush the pretty shapes at the end of the videos. :(

  • dude your music choices are EPIC!!!!

  • Absolutely one of the coolest shapes I've seen. :)

  • the video is awesome, but the music sucks

  • u should totally use the great rhombicosidodecahedron because i learned about that in geometry and thought it was insane and i wannna see u do it

  • is there anyway to do it with only 216 spheres?

  • @TheHappyKitten Theoretically yes, if you use 3-ball triangles. That way you need 180 balls only (3×3×20) but I haven't tried that yet. Although, practically may not be possible because the magnets are so strong that they might not "want to" hold such twisted position. In larger formations, the second, third and even more distant neighbours also affect each other, thus helping to keep the formation.

  • All the creation you had made all comes back to zero once you are done creating it. Why did you do that?

  • @BuggttiVeyronW16 If you mean why I crush them, I just got this habit because I was recording multiple shapes during the same sit, so I had to crush before starting the next one. The camera recorded that as well and later on when I cut the videos, I decided to keep it as well :)

  • how do i make sure i get a REAL set then?

  • @blob398 Buy from the original site, lol :)

  • @szakiii where's the site?

  • Terrific.

  • i got a set of neocubes for around $9 plus shipping and handling ($4) off ebay :D

  • @blob398 I think that was probably a fake set of Neocube. Is it coming from Hong Kong?

  • I would like to buy them but I've never seen them on stores and I never buy things online is this the only way?

  • so f*cking great!!!!!

  • wonderfull

  • lol "balls used"

  • wow. that was so cool!

  • how many do you need to make this?

  • For how long have you been making things out of the balls?

  • do you have a gf?

  • Comment removed

  • Very cool shape and awesome job making it.

    Separate comments:

The fact that your name is a coupon code kind of indicates your bias.

Higher magnetic strength is not automatically better. At some point a stronger magnetic material just makes the little balls harder to pry apart. The most important thing is a high enough quality coating that doesn't chip. You don't want magnetic glitter clinging to your hands for hours or days afterward. After that, shop on price/ball.

  • do you know if i could get like a 20 or 30 percent off please?

  • Ten percent is the max I think.

  • awesome vid, you are the master of magnets ! I am building this right now ! szakiii rules.

  • ok thanks.... btw your vids r awesome!!

  • are you using nanodots in these vidoes or neocube

  • In videos 001-011 I used Neocube. In any further videos I'm gonna use Nanodots. They will surely come sometime and it won't be like Duke Nukem Forever :)

  • @szakiii what are you waiting to get a shit ton of nanodots to make new vids?

  • whats the difference between buckeyballs and the neo cube? what one is better?

  • I think they differ in ball size and strength. Usually all brands of magnetic balls differ in (at least) these properties.

I never had buckyballs so I can't say much about them. But I have used Neocube and Nanodots a lot and Nanodots are my favorite.

  • @szakiii I ordered buckyballs off of ThinkGeek, and it sucks that they don't give you as many as Nanodots and Neocube do. I don't have the money at the moment, or I'd order a set of Nanodots.

  • @szakiii The buckyballs are okay but they're bigger and a bit weaker. They tarnish easily too.

  • nooo you all crushed it :(

  • dude urr awsome but u have way to many balls

  • Great Videos Szakiii, Keep up the hard work, as I am sure that I am not the only person who is learning something!

I only got my first set a couple of days ago and I have already ordered more, I will order even more too, finances permitting...

    Best Wishes to you!

  • nice work...I did it 35 minutes :-D

  • 2 questions:

    1) When are you going to make #12? :P

    2) I think I'm going to post a video about the Neocube set I got. I'll probably link to your channel. How do you pronounce you username? :P

  • 1) Very good question... my hard drive on which the raw video material of 012 was got "sick" and can currently read only parts of itself. I would either need to recover the raw video or re-record it. We'll see...

    2) Um... well, it's the closest to the Japanese pronounciation of "saki" (like Kawasaki, Nagasaki, etc). But I've never met an English person who could pronounce it correctly :) Maybe I'll make a short video about this... ^ ^

  • i love your thingies...

im getting a neocube for christmas.. think you can do something smaller for someone who only has 216 :D

  • me too :D

yes pls make something for us 216ballers :D

  • hey, did neocube sponsor you or something?

  • Yeah, once I've got five alpha sets from Neocube for free.

  • wow, thats heaps, i bought 2 alpha pairs yesterday... they look awesome can't wait till they arrive, have you got any advice on ways to make cool shapes and stuff?

  • What I do is only using my imagination :)

  • how did you get your own sponsorship? because... i was wanting a set or 2 of these... but i dont really have the money.... yeah...

  • arghh i wanna too :D

  • have any of the neocubes broken on you or chipped or something like that in your history of using them?

  • All I have noticed that a few of my balls have black spots on them where the coating has broken. I guess there must be similar very-very small spots on others as well because if I make e.g. lots of 6-ball triangles my finger tips start to blacken.

  • lol your BALLS have black spots

  • Man you are amazing, good job! I must have one of this :D:D:D, and spend my entire life to solve the unsolvable puzzle!

  • You preceeded me. I was posting the same creation! Damn! :-)

By the way, I'm uploading my first video about this, and I've a question: what about music copyright? You simply don't mind it?

  • Sorry :)

About the music - after I spend a lot of time picking tracks and dubbing them to the video, I just won't replace or redo it when I see that it has copyright problems.

Also, when I finally find a nicely fitting track, I don't bother with surfing the net and looking up all companies that might own its copyrights. I just want that nice music on my video...

  • Cuts all over your hands?

  • that are 540 balls!

  • It's 360.

Just count - it has 20 tetrahedrons on its surface and each tetrahedron has 3 triangles outside. One triangle consists of 6 balls, so 20×3×6 = 360.

  • reminds me of an Alexander star

  • the new christmas tree topper

  • music suxxxx

  • Is it possible to make them from 300 balls?

  • nope

  • no:(

  • sweet, i just ordered one and im glad i finally have something to look forward to haha

  • you wont have enough balls if you bought 1 cube :P

  • Szakiii, this is one the best demo's that i seen so far - keep it up : )

  • Is there anyway to make this with the standard 210 ball set?

  • I haven't tried that yet. Theoretically the triangle side length could be 2 instead of 3. You'd need 180 balls to create that. Let me know if it works :)

Btw the standard (alpha) Neocube set is 216 + 8 spare balls, not 210. Do you have Neocube or something else?

  • Oh yea it is 216. I actually ordered a Cybercube because it was cheaper, but the only difference is that they are 6mm instead of the 4.6~mm of the Neocube. I will DEFINITELY try this with the required 180. I might even post it on my channel as a video.

  • the 2 sphere triangles are gonna be hard to make. They wont stick too well.

  • how many neocube magnets do you have?

  • I have 8 alpha sets which consist of 1792 balls.

  • have you tried to use all of your neos in one creation and also have you tried to create a 12x12x12 cube?

  • Yeah I did, you'll see such creations as soon as I have time to create more movies :)

Regarding the 12×12×12 cube, the largest I made was 10×10×10 when I had five sets.

  • why do all your magnets attract each other ? mine bounce off most times. is that because you're experienced or because i am dumb?

  • The trick lies in the way how you fold the 2D shapes to 3D shapes. For example in this movie I create three triangles, put them together and then fold them into a tetrahedron. But you can fold the tetrahedron in two directions and that controls how the tetrahedrons will want to attach. We call this 'lined vs interlinked'.

You can can find a Neocube tutorial if you search for this as a title on Youtube.

  • where can i see if the balls are 4mm or 6mm, I am goin to get my soon, please answer!!

  • I can only tell you that the original Neocube balls are approx. 4.7mm in diameter. If you ordered from theneocube(dot)com, they will be like that.

  • I bought the original Neocube.

  • i was wondering if you bought the actual neocube or a different brand

  • what size sphere magnets do you use?

  • They are approx. 4.7mm in diameter.

  • thats about the size i bought off of this website.

  • you making nice movies

    good job;)

  • its all really redundant but it looks cool afterwards

  • You rock!

  • theneocube(dot)com

  • where do you buy neocubes Szaki?

  • amazing

  • nice :D

  • cool! :o

  • go Szaki go!
