  • All debates will be removed on November 5, 2008. If anyone has any objections, speak up now.

  • zero!??!

  • McCain is going to win anyway, and you'll just have the irrational hatred for McCain just as you have had for Bush the past 8 years, right?

  • Yeah if McCain wins which there is a slim chance we will have another Bush in power...add Palin and you have a disaster. This country and it's people are suffering at this point. You want this country to go down even more (obviously). Pretty simple way of thinking if you ask me but than again what else can we expect from you esch0486

  • You can expect a traditional aprroach until people like you label me a miserable being. You think to the left and thats the only thing you care about you don't even consider other ideas because they do not correlate to your own. I'm done arguing with your mindless comments. Kindly, go fuck yourself.

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOObama

  • I think Sen.McCain is getting his introduction to economics. Keeps writing all the time. His responses are not very specific. Which means he was either not prepared or is just saying something to get it over with.

  • obama man just obama

  • man... mccain cant beleive... "zero"... hahahaha... us citizens should not make the same mistake... bush senior = gulf war, bush jr. = war in iraq, afghanistan, terror. i hope you dont vote for a gandpa bush wannabe! hahaha

  • hope you dont vote for a socialist!

  • McCain is such a snake...watch his face when he gets pissed off. He is easily irritated. We don't need a trigger happy dick for our president. Our foreign policy sucks, our economy is drained and what McCain is going to do is fuck it up some more. No thanks!

    OBAMA 08

  • look at Obama! he laughs and shakes his head at everything McCain says! gimme a break..

  • McCain is a dinosaur and Palin a hardcore hypocrite. We don't need nor do we want ASSHOLES to be president and vice president. Palin take your ugly ass back to Alaska and McCain go extinct please...you're way late!

  • go ahead and name call cause thats all you got...why dont you actually go and read something so you actually have an argument. PS mainstream media articles don't count, read real information no propaganda,

  • That's all I got? No that's just the cherry on top to make it sweeter and it works. Media doesn't count? Read real information? Where do you get your facts? LOL I laugh at you esch0486.

  • Please elaborate then? All im reading from you is anger, wheres your arguments? Only things youve said thus far is there is public transportation in GB, which makes no sense. You didn't see my point on the gas tax. Obama has some good ideas like punishing corpors for outsourcing jobs, but his main points like the socialistic ideal of "spreading the wealth". I don't like McCain's health plan, but its better than socialized medicine!

  • I wan pointing out the public transportation fact. We could develop better public transportation in big cities. Like for example in Detroit MI you have a bus going the same way every hour, sometimes he doesn't even make it. In Sweden Malmoe the bus gets around every 10 minutes on weekdays and every 20 minutes on weekends in the same direction. So people don't need cars. Much less fuel to be used and they destroy the earth much less as well. We in the US have to have cars because it's our RIGHT.

  • If you can't tell...I was being sarcastic about the 'it's our RIGHT'. Reason why is because we always think we have special rights but we never tend to look and try to learn from the rest of the world for we are one of the youngest countries in the world. To get back to McCain...if you watch closely you will see that he is getting owned by Obama. Sorry but it's the truth, it's a lose-lose situation for McCain/Palin. OBAMA08

  • Ok bud, thats you opinion and rightfully so. Sure, hes gettin owned, whatever, just another fact-less based comment by you. I'll argue all day with you, I'd love to correct your ill thinking and misinformation.

  • Actually it's a fact that McCain lost all of the debates. Just watch them and this is me not being biast. I have many friends that are republicans and they're still voting for Obama because they see who's holding up better and who got more integrity. McCain is weak and it's obviously visible. If you don't see it than buddy you're blind. You can't correct something that doesn't need correction. What you need to concentrate on is your own way of looking at things.

  • Its a fact huh? Not so much, just your opinion, I'm not blind ive got my eyes wide open, McCain is not my first choice but he knows whats good for america more than "that one". What doesn't need correction? What are you talking about concentrate on my own way of lookin at things? Obamas change for the worse for the most part. Please give me facts rather than your misguided opinions.

  • That one? hahaha

    That's a classic...haha

I laugh at you misserable being. I gave you facts...the thing is you're blind and can't read between the lines. Poor you...I actually feel bad for you but that's ok you'll believe when time comes and believe me time will come. Transportation is private? That's exactly what's wrong with this country. A bunch of consumers that can not find a better way. Why not learn from countries that are houndreds and thousands years older than we are. Because of you.

  • No facts just opinions. So you want the government to provide everything for us? give me a break. Go play in traffic!

  • I live in Albany NY, the bus comes every tens minutes on every route within 10 miles of the city. I carpool to work. We don't have to "have" cars, if you can afford them, you can have them. If your a bum with no job, no car. Simple as that. Sort of the basis of the american dream that obama is going to destroy. Success is granted through hard work and risks, not government handouts to the poor who do nothing with their life.

  • NY is different I think I mentioned it earlier. There is better public transportation than anywhere else in the US. Look at majority of the US...public transportation basically doesn't exist and if it does in some cities it's very limited therefore you can't survive without a car.

  • Funny thing is, public transportation is actually private. Unless your a vet the gov't doesn't pay for transportation. It doesn't exist in other parts becauase there is not enough demand for it.

  • mccain still doesn't have a workable health care solution for americans....he has nothing but straws to grasp

  • health care for all americans!!! you know Great Britan has health care for all right? you know they pay over 10$ a gallon for disel because of that!? be responsible that is what this country is about!

  • One thing you don't consider about Great Britain and the rest of Europe is that they have public transportation so only a half of their citizens drive cars and when they do there's more than one person per car so shove that comment. In the US there is no such thing as public transportation unless you're in real big cities like NY where you have a subway. You're going off on a subject that should not be mentioned right now. Who cares about GB. We need change and change will come. OBAMA 08

  • Where do you think the money for this comes from man? they just pull it out of their ass right? Your not seeing my point, that money for these programs has to be made somewhere and its not going to happen if you "cut taxes" which is really his disguise for welfare.

  • What point are you making here? That you believe in free health care for all? Or that we should not have free health care for all, in order to keep fuel prices down??

  • Right now, people should be responsible and have their own health insurance. I believe in less gov't but you know what? They should step in and reform insurance company policies. Im just sayin if you want health care for all right now prepare for Obama's "tax cuts" to go flyin out the window! GB makes up for the cost in gas tax, look it up.

  • You make a fair point. You're not exactly correct (I'm British by the way), as regards tax on fuel paying for Britain's National Health Service, but you are right in saying we pay an extortionate amount of tax on fuel.

All of the tax the British govt makes in a year from gas would not pay for a fraction of what the NHS costs to run. We also pay 17.5% VAT (sales tax) as standard on everything. Products, groceries, services - everything. Americans don't know how lucky they are :o)

  • How lucky we are? There's folclosures happening across the US. People being kicked out of their homes because they lost their jobs and can't pay. (thanx to the republican party and the Bush administration). The middle class people which is most of US suffers at this point greatly. Health Insurance companies rape our people. We don't get taken care of like in some countries. To tell you the truth I wouldn't mind paying higher taxes if I had to pay next to nothing for health insurance.

  • See your pointing the finger at one side. Both sides are to blame, thats whats wrong with this country today. They both pushed banks (Bush Admin and the democrat's Community Redevolpment Act threatened sanctions against banks who didn't not give loans to people who had no credit, no capability and/or means to pay for these mortgages) Read something fucktard, im sick of people like you who think the dems are a god send who do nothing wrong, go watch msnbc some more. Both parties are to blame.

  • Well this is obviously the dark, and usually hidden, other side of the "American Dream" coin. In Britain we have a huge safety net of freely available healthcare and a huge welfare state, which maintains the gap between the richest and the poorest, and ensures that gap doesn't become too wide. The downside being we pay for that safety net with a huge general tax burden, that is probably bigger than anywhere else in the world.

I personally agree that I would rather pay a large amount in tax...

  • It's nice to see that someone from across the Ocean agrees with me. And that is exactly my point...US is a very young country and it needs to learn from other countries that are way older than we are. You're right about the gap...in the US it's huge and I know it's for some the American dream to make a million a year but the more you make the more you should be taxed and that's what republicans here don't want. They want to pay the same taxes as a man that maked only 50,000 a year. It's bull.

  • ...to ensure that the poorest and most vulnerable citizens of my nation don't drop off the ladder and get left behind, without a helping hand being extended to them in some way. But it seems that this kind of political view in America ends up with you being labelled a communist as Barack Obama has - and he is only talking about higher taxes for those earning over $250,000 a year, i.e. - the obscenely rich.

What I find interesting is that hard times have been a way of life for so many...

  • Communism is differnt than socialism bud! Whats to say Obama won't lower that number? Ask yourself this, How many rich people provide jobs and how many poor people provide jobs? Taxing the people that provide jobs will not spur them to create more jobs because the more money they make the more they get taxed. You know anyone that owns a business?

  • I hope he does lower that number, I'm sure he will. In Britain our highest rate of income tax is 40%, and this applies to anyone earning over £34,800 (roughly $70,000).

I think you are hugely mistaken if you think people will be deterred from trying to further their own business interests because of higher rates of tax. Even if they do pay a little more in tax, they will still be getting richer, just less richer! Never underestimate the human desire to accumulate wealth (aka greed).

  • I have a feeling esch0486 is scared of Communism. Red scare still in your brain? I'm going to be an educated democrat so I'm not going to tell you to 'f**k off' just because I'm better. I got to you, therefore you try to compensate for your loss by swearing. I do feel sorry for you simple minded esch0486

  • ...Americans for years and years. Those below the poverty line who inhabit the projects in all your major cities, and the trailer parks in your more rural areas have always struggled, yet these issues are only getting highlighted now that the hard times have fallen upon the middle classes, which as you say is most of America.

I hope that you guys elect Obama, and I hope that America can chage in the ways that it needs to, but for many reasons, I just can't see it happening unfortunately :o(

  • You're not the only person I talked to from Europe that thinks the same way. It will take this country a long time before it realizes that it can not police the world and that it needs to concentrate on its people rather than someone else. I've believed this for a long time. It is not the hardship that made me think otherwise. I despised Bush from the beginning and I had my beliefs prior to this crap that's happening here. I hope Obama wins as well and it looks pretty good.

  • I guess the Republican party is all about protecting the interests of the wealthy elite. The Conservatives (our Republican equivalent) used to be much the same, altho not as right-wing.

I really hope Obama wins. I think it would represent a huge step forward for America, I really do. I have discussed this with a lot of friends here and we really will be shaking our heads in disbelief if McCain gets in.

It's great to hear your views anyhow. Now get out there and vote for change :o)

  • Thanx for the support. We good people of America thank you for supporting our true ideas of democracy and brotherhood. You're right about the Republican party all the way. They look out for the wealthy and don't care for anyone else. Unfortunately there is many people that don't believe in the truth but they rather live in an imaginary world. I'm voting and I'll feel good about it no matter what. Even if Obama/Biden are not what I think they are, they will still be better than McCain/Palin.

  • While I'm voting for Obama, I must disagree with you when you say that they "look out for the wealthy and don't care for anyone else". I don't deny the fact that their are republican people who have only the interest of the wealthy in mind. However to say that all Republicans think this way is simply predjuce. Don't forget that a very famous president Abraham Lincoln, was a republican, and is the president credited with freeing black slaves in Amerca, and black slaves certaintly weren't wealthy

  • Don't forget that Abraham Lincoln did not live in 00s so just to remind you...things change over time. This country is completely different than what it was back than. And I didn't say 'republicans as people' but the Republican party. Read between the lines Volf99. Thanks.

  • Alright I would up to a certain exstent agree with you then if your talking JUST about the party. However would you then agree that there have been Republicans that were not sterotypes and that a PERSON can be republican and still have the interest of the poor or middle class in mind?

  • Oh yeah of course that's why I say the Republican party and not all people. I try not to generalize. The lower class is taken care of for the most part even though that needs to be better as well. What I'm concernd about is the middle class. Republican party cares about the rich 99% of the time. It doesn't take an expert to see that as a fact. I personally don't want to live in an oligarchy...that's what it feels like when a Republican leads this country. They're better in small doses.

  • Pressed the post button to fast, -they make up for the cost in more that just gas taxes-its ver fucking expensive for the gov't

    woops!

  • 2:10 into this clip is the best scene in the whole debate.

"ZERO"!!.. Absolutely priceless, the look on McCain's face is the best I have ever seen. He must be thinking "O God,, I'm screwed"

  • McCain is so busy trying to attack obama he is not talking about the issues. He just does not be a president he pro long the bush era. at least he did not lie as much as he did last debate.

  • John McCain does not talk about the issues, but he prefers to attack Barack Obama.

  • The health care thing is true! My father's employer pays his insurance, which costs THEM $12,000 a year. Under McCain, he would have to pay his own, so that's $12,000 that my father has to pay, minus the $5,000 dollar tax credit, which goes straight to the insurance company, =$7,000 dollars a year my father has to pay. P.S. I don't get coverage from my father, I have my own, I'm just using him as an example of how bad senator McCain's plan is. Go OBAMA!!!

  • 3:00

    McCain looks like a FOOL!

he keeps blinking and he totally looks uncomfortable

because he knows he just got OWNED! hahaha

His attacks on Obama doesn't work because he has no plan at all, unlike Obama who actually gives a descriptive plan on healthcare that will actually work!

  • Barack Obama is the tiger woods of politics.

  • Except he never lands in the rough :P
