I bought a '62 back in the early '70s for $100. Wish I'd have kept it. I loved the stacked pots. I saw a really beat up one at auction a couple of years ago go for $45,000.
I recently purchased a Fender Jazz Bass manufactured in 1962. I verified the year with a number fond on the neck plate. It has a dark brown finish, maple neck with mother-of-pearl block inlays. It still has the original pickup cover and bridge cover along with the thumb rest. The neck is very straight and it plays nicely. The only flaw is that the bridge pickup doesn't work, but the neck pickup still does. My question is if anyone could tell me how much this bass might possibly be worth?
@4stringMafia fender bass with block inlays can not be a 62 i believe they didn't start the block pearl inlays till cbs took over fender in late 1965. so your bass is a later bass then a 1962 infact i would say probably a late 60's early 70's! as for the pickup not working, it may just be loose solder. easy repair. or may need rewinding ask your local guitar store

I love this bass and I would probably buy it. In your opinion, is really a good bass? Could you explain to me leaving a comment on my chain.
Thanks man.

Man, if you can't hear that this bass is better than anything, you have to go to the ear doctor :p
The bass' tone speaks for itself but Fender is also very comfortable to play. If you buy it, you won't regret :)
