i work for Wackenhut. They do suc in some ways. The promotion process is a joke. If you arnt a friend forget it. Not every business is connected to the republican party. Move outa ur moms basement and read every once and awhile. Dont believe the brainwashing the liberals have laid on you. gees
Wackenhut has also been having problems at your local nuclear power plants, where they provide the same top-notch standards. Last year, Wackenhut lost its contracts with Excelon Energy in Pennsylvania for repeated incidents of guards sleeping at their posts. The same pattern has been happening at FPL's Turkey Point nuclear plant, where guards were found asleep on multiple occasions between 2004 and 2006. Call FPL at (561) 694-4000 and tell them to follow Miami-Dade County's lead.
Mayor Carlos Alvarez announced on May 8, 2008, that Miami-Dade county will be terminating its contract with Wackenhut unless the company pays the county back $6 million. An audit released today shows that the security firm overbilled the county at least $6 million for "ghost" guard shifts that were never actually staffed. If the money is not paid back in 90 days, Mayor Alvarez said the county will terminate its contract with Wackenhut
In view of recent news about overworked guards sleeping at their posts at nuclear power plants, you gotta wonder why anyone wants to keep hiring this outfit. Clearly it can't be because of the great job they do.
Yeah, this is called a Union smear campaign because Wackenhut, quite rightly will not sumbit to compulsorary unionization. This story is also incidentally most probrably a lie, due to the fact that strangely this huge "theft" is never news reported. Oh well, Good on Wackenhut for not caving in to Union pressure, if Wackenhut and other companies had not been continually doing this since the 1930s we would all probrably be living in the Soviet States of America.
Actually, Jeff Burnside ran a two-part series of news reports on this "theft", and the Miami Herald also covered it. But besides that, good point. Here's a tip: next time you make a statement, do some research rather than pulling it directly out of your arse.
Google search the following: Wackenhut fraud, Wackenhut nightmare, Wackenhut sleeping nuclear, Wackenhut abuse... you get the idea. I think you'll find more than you want to know.
Losers are Wackenhut who steal from tax-payers and shit on their employees!

Whenever a corrupt, government-connected corporation gets busted for wrong-doing, just deflect blame by bringing up the spector of communism!!
