This is a perfect match up....both of these guys styles are extraordinary. The're both fast, elusive and unpredictable, this is everything you'd want in a fight. In my opinion Machida has the tools to take this,but it will not be easy.There are three main obstacles he has to overcome:reach,clinch and elbows.Experience won t be a huge factor considering Jones unpredictable strikes and elbow-enhanced greco-roman throws.Machida should use well placed and ACCURATE kicks aimed at the head ,body and legs.Submission attemptsfrom the guard are also necessary.

You may be right my friend. I have faith in Machida though. You could barely call Shogun and Rampage challenges for Jones- not because he was that good, but because they were that bad. All credit due to both of them, but Shogun was fighting injuries and Rampage just lacks diversity in his attacks. Lyoto on the other hand is injury free, very clever and diverse in his style. He has all the tools to take Jones down, provided he can overcome the reach- he'll work something out :)

Rampage was doing pretty well against Jones when he was landing kicks, but for some reason he didn't pressure him with those like he should have. (Just my opinion). (Plus, Lyoto has Silva as a sparring partner which is always a bonus in this kind of situation :) )
