  • he was fantastic at having extra marital affairs, but not so good at dodging those trees! :D

  • RIP Peter (almost) Perfect...the only reason why I put the (almost) in there was because he was a Collingwood fan, haha!!

  • god almighty that man could drive. we miss him even here in the states.

  • Things haven't been the same since he left, not only a great driver but a great voice for everyone who loves motorsport and driving, while peter was around you didn't see the petty nanny state mentality in every single new road law, we seen him fighting them every single time telling the government the truth behind driving and why their ideas are more dangerous than the situations they are trying to prevent. Peter was a legend who stood up for the rights of all of us, we will miss him forever

  • I may hate holdens but i like allan moffat and i was watching a show on the abc and allan moffat was talking about when brock crashed and allan started to cry and that brought a tear to my eye :(

  • Bloody hell Pete missing seeing ya drive man.

  • R.I.P Aussie Legend

  • Pete Brock (Yank designer from the 60's) looks like he based the shape/design of this car like the original roof cobras that took on the Ferraris in 1964 & 1965 (won). Same top roof & rear wing. very fast cars.

    RIP Peter Brock.

  • @plotchickens you are the shitest cunt go kill yourself show some god damn respect for this legend but clearly you can't because your dog fucked you in the head so hard your brains had been filled with dog cum now I don't know how this works but good luck at giving birth to puppies out of your nose slippery gipsy eat a dick cunt! Also r.I.p. Brocky you legend you have inspired us all.

  • @ plotchicken pull your head in he was an Australian legend

  • RIP The KING OF THE MONTAIN

  • *crunch* help i'm dead!!! hahaha

  • @plotchickens have some fucking resepct for the legend mate or dont comment

  • i respect his awesome ability to have sex with women that weren't married to him. but he wasn't very good at driving around trees.

  • @plotchickens fuck your a dickhead

  • fuck you!

  • I'm English, but I acknowledge Peter Brock as an absolutely fantastic driver. RIP.

  • I was upset when Steve Irwin died, but nothing compared to a few days later when I heard about Brocky. It really hit me like a truck, I remember I got really drunk that night.

What a talent, what an icon, what an irreplaceable loss.

  • You're a legend PB and an Aussie icon. Tarmac rally is as exhilarating as it is dangerous and Brocky's crash proves it. RIP mate.. And yes, have some bloody repsect.

  • You're a legend PB and an Aussie icon. Tarmac rally is as exhilarating as it is dangerous and Brocky's crash proves it. RIP mate..

  • I was there. A lot of different opinions, some out of line. The driver was great no doubt, the car was extremely well built and that is why I am still here. It was wet and PB always drove fast. The car was handling well, so well that we posted second fastest time on leg 1. It was an accident, nothing can change the past. Have some respect for all involved.

  • we love and miss you peter brock!!!

  • the cars a pig to drive

  • atleast he died doing what he loved, R.I.P Brock

  • @The18Angus why don't you have some fucking respect you simple minded dickhead?

  • Perfection with a capital P........ R.I.P brocky forever in our thoughts and hearts

  • People die on track as well, but I think far better run certain speeds there than among bare trees.

    However, RIP Brocky

  • The thing looks like it handled like a bowl of jelly . Fibreglass v tree , no contest . R.I.P Brocky . Loved ya .

  • Mother of God that engine is loud! That just makes me nervous to even imagine being in a car being driven like that! Bless his heart but I would have sent that notepad flying from the word go!

  • its in bloody mono, but thanks for sharing.

  • his codriver did servive and i think his all well and gd now!!

  • does anyone know if his navigator lived? everyone talks about how brock died but i ve never heard of the condition of his co-pilot. RIP BROCKIE!!!

  • @GBeckfanNY - Yes, Mick Hone was the navigator and suffered broken ribs etc but he did live, although he remained trapped in the car with Peter dead beside him for some time...

  • I drive an XB coupe but respect to Brocky, he was an awesome driver. Dunno about you but I'm kind of almost wincing watching this - knowing what happened after it, its hard not to think he's going a bit quick for the conditions..theres even a few moments in this that look a bit too hairy for comfort...I'm watching this a few hours after 2 died in Classic Adelaide 2009, and much as I love cars and fast driving, it sure as hell makes you aware of how wrong it can go...

  • he died doing wat he loved most.

    Driving fast

  • does anyone have the actual video of the crash. I am not trying to be disrespectful, but I would like to see how the crash may have occured. What shocked me was that brock was not wearing the correct saftey ger, notice him not wearing gloves. I am not sure if it is mandotory, but I would have.

RIP Pete, your a legend, King Of The moutain, you will not be forgotten.

  • Not wearing gloves, you watching the same clip, he is clearly wearing gloves, the navigator isn't wearing any but Brock is.

  • I thought brock was the navigator, becuase he was both a navigator and a driver

  • @mikethenascarfan

    No he wasn't.

He was always the driver. Why would anyone want Brocky navigating when he could be driving? There was none better.

  • Deeply loved, sorely missed, greatly respected. An inspiration, a hero, always the king of the mountain.

I'm more a motorbike guy than a car guy, but if I go like Brockie, hard and fast to the final minute, doing what I love doing, then I can think of no better or more fitting way.

  • he isnt a king he isnt a legend he is the god of motorsport that car was legendary wat he last drove but it was wet and slippery so it would be hard to control even if you go for ford or not even like v8 supercars every 1 loves brocky we all miss you alot brocky R.I.P

  • brocky we will miss you so much m8

  • we will all miss peter brock he was a ledgend on and off the tar he was an allout nice blocke and australia will miss him god bless peter brock

    love you mate

  • far out, am i the only one who sees that every movement, every gear change, every flick of the windscreen wipers, every movement of the wheel, it just all seems so smooth to perfection... R.I.P to the driving legend, you are sorely missed

  • @tciiim then you cant drive as all i see is a car that is hell on wheels to control as poor tyre choice made the car a bitch on wheels. He fights the car thru every turn

  • @parrotscaraudio poor tyre choice was not the cause of the accident, there is no tyre choice you run on the same set of tyres start to finish and u receive a time penalty for every tyre change you make including changing worn out or punctured tyres, there was a lack of setup in the suspension of the car and brocky had been complaining about it all day mate, i was there

  • R.I.P. Peter Brock

    R.I.P. Shelby Cobra Daytona replica

  • That last leg was one heck of a drive :) Good race brocky

  • One the greatest australians ever

  • What a legend, but he must have known the dangers of road rallying what was basically a race car.The car didn't have the full safety protection of a proper rally car, all those trees and rocks to hit, ditches to fall into at full speed without proper safety caging. Life's a gamble I suppose ?

  • i cryed the day i found out he died

  • hey buddy that is not funny i was there when he got removed form his car and carried in to the ambulance and it wasnt on this stage but i cried when i seen him dead and the guy next to me died and it was the first time i ever seen a grown man cry

  • its not funy

why do you think i think its funny

  • maybe if you hadnt been there in the way, the amulance workers could have saved him

  • plotchickens i was the one that actully radioed for the ambulance and he was dead instantly there is no way he would made it out of it

  • thats terrible :(

just shows you though we are all one step away. could happen to any of us :(

  • you are a piece of shit.

  • not brock you are fuck face

  • @plotchickens damn have respect to the famous driver.

  • What a beautiful machine and what a shame about Brocky! I grew up watching this legend on TV. At least he died doing what he loves, my hat goes off to people like Brocky!

  • Rest In Peace Brocky....

Some amazing driving in that video.. thanks for sharing it.

    Dan

  • Thats insane!

  • i met brocky a few times he remberd me wich is odfd ...R.I.P brockey alwys a leagand to me no matter wat these dicks say bout u on here

  • mate how can you say that you are what people hate in the racing world mate i was there when he died i was also the seconde person on the crash scene and to tell you the truth i was 15 year old think i was all tought and shit but i cried and i still do when i remember that day and the guy that was first was about 30 -35 years old and he lost the plot and to my dibelief they have cut the tree thet he came to greef with down now there nothing that signifies that corner now hell be missed by all

  • haven't you got anything better to do?

I think I hear your mum calling you.

  • i didnt post that

    it was my cousin

he knows i like brock :/

  • SHUT THE FUCK UP! you reply to every brocky video! no one cars what u have to say

  • get to a sense of humour

  • Plot chicken, best thing you could do is get your arse of you tube and stop being such a wanker, leaving pathetic comments on clips, clips you dont know anything about. As for your band, with a attitude like yours, who would want to see a wanker on stage, grow up idiot. Maybe You Tube should ban you and your sick comments.

  • brocky

    is that u

  • i DIDENT WRITE IT YOU NIGGER

    it was my cousin

    RIP BROCKY

  • Do us all a favour, and punch your cousin in the face really hard. Gutless to use someone else's account to write shit like that.

  • done

  • balkus1-YOU R A MORON

  • yeah, it's a replica, and a lot better engineered one than the original. it was obviously pretty slippery that day. heaps of opposite lock going on- not huge powerslides but heaps of it none the less.

  • i cryed all day

    when brocky went,

i meet him at winton, and after singing

so many posters, hats, everything, he was still cool

    not like the new asshole,s

you are my inspiration for me doing up my

vb sle v8, ilove you mate, you will all ways in my heart

    love eddie,,,,,,,bye mate

  • i agree wid u vrss230kw no 1 will eva be able 2 compare 2 brocky o54eva

  • it was a dodge daytona coupe and r.i.p brocky

  • BROCKY, u were my hero, my inspiration and the true reason why i am a holden nut. u wer the best that australia had to offer to the world. u will NEVER be forgotten, no-one will ever be compaired to this motoring legend.

    peace be with u BROCKY

    R.I.P

  • id like to see the footage of the crash is this available?

  • I think it would be pretty hard to get hold of that footage to be honest with you. It's been said that there was a camera that recorded all the data like throttle%, steering lock and final drive ratio etc. But only the Police and S.C.U were able to look at it. It's never going to be shown public. I wouldn't mind seing it myself just to get an idea of what happened. But can you imagine if it was shown to the public. You'd never hear the end of people complaining about it.

  • what car was that

  • I think it was a daytona replica if I'm not mistaken but dont quote me on it

  • Yes your right, Its a Daytona replica, Holden Commodore SS power.

  • It doesn't matter how good the driver or the car are, to drive like that in those conditions is either insane or suicidal.

  • This video shows the talents of a great driver. Peter hated being called Perfect because no one can be. He knew this and that is why I believe he died doing what he knew best. He loved to race and to be near all the races. He gave some young drivers the best advice they could be told. He knew ever bump or ditch in pretty much every track he raced on. He knew the tracks like the back of his hand. That is why he liked the Targa rallies, it was a challenge to his skills. Brock always with you!

  • I feel sorry for brocky he don't deserve to die

    soz soz soz

  • Takes a real racer to hurl something like that through a stage like that.

    RIP

  • All ways full trottle max attack

Rip in peace king of the mountain.

    Proper legend

  • that just shows how much of a legend he was. he drove a V8 muscle car like that, straight for the whole stage in the wet. he didn't have it sideways at all except for after the finish!

He was a hero, a legend and my Hero.

You'll always be remembered and loved Brocky.

  • Yes R.I.P. My Idol, My Hero. Sad to see him go. But least he enjoyed life up to the very end. It was pretty though watching him handle that car, as said, he looked so relaxed in doing it. I liked his little power slide at the end when he completed that stint.

  • Peter Perfect, showing what he was. Perfect! As for the comments about the car, the car was designed by Brock & by no means a pig! Beautiful Car, Beautiful man. He is Peter Brock, will miss you mate- You are the greatest like Cassius Clay!

  • yeah that car is all over the place and so hard to control, what a piece of shit. Brock did such an amazing job to drive that in the wet.

  • Hearing Jim Richards speaking about Brock's crash is somewhat haunting. RIP Brock

  • Its just goes to show you how fast he drives and gives you an insight into how fast he was going when he hit the tree that killed him, it wasn't a drivers error when he hit the tree though, this is unknown to many people but an older car came through there with leaking oil, with being in the rain it was slippery enough but when he hit the oil it was uncontrollable, not even him, the king of motorsport could have corrected it, this is all information from his co-driver, R.I.P Brocky!!

  • Sadly another legend gone but not forgotten

  • We will never forget you Brock, you were a truely amazing driver and a king of motorsport. R.I.P. King Brock.

  • I am so grateful that my rally voulenteer friend decided to get married on saturday september 8 2006. If not we would have been road closure officials for the Targa west rally and this would have made Brocky's death even more upsetting. I can not begin to imagine the feeling out there the day of his death. You sit waiting for the next driver to pass within 2 mins of the last. When they dont show up, a sense of dread washes over you. R.I.P Sir Brocky!

  • watching this on tv put me on the edge of my seat the way he fights that pig of a car. RIP brother brock

  • Just goes to show you how easily it can be done. Brock looked relaxed as he always did behind the wheel. A racer to the end.

  • he is a god, hail Sir Brock you are the King

  • A sensational last drive!
