Bravo Rolando - one of the most beautiful arias I have ever heard. The phrasing is lovely - what a band , just amazing. Lucky, lucky Deptford! This sounds so much better sung by a tenor.

leo que se est'a haciendo mucha polémica por el cambio de registro del aria. pèro la verdad es que en todo caso es tanb aberrante el cambio de una aria copuesta para un castrato siendo cantada por un contratenor. A mi, particularmente me resulta mucho mas agradble la voz de tenor que la de Contra.

Ci vuole un bel coraggio, una buona presunzione da parte di Villanzon - cantante che è assolutamente un bluff- per osare di affrontare un'aria sublime di Haendel come questa e cantarla come fosse un'aria di Tosti. C'è molta confusione oggi nel mercato discografico se è potuto uscire un album di Villanzon tutto dedicato a Haendel. Del resto è un cantante finito.

Always an astonishingly lovely aria to hear from a master composer. Rolando has a good voice and musicianship, although something seems lost when a performance / tessitura departs so dramatically from the composer's original intention.
