Exellent head movement! We all know about his diet/training but when he gets it right, which I think he will, Il be looking forward to his hand speed because it can be phenomenal!

i don't see how this fight was scored so close. Gavin put on a masterclass for 2 thirds of if. Gavin is similar to Calzaghe in that he doesn't make sounds when he punches like 'sss' (which can add a bit of pop). Calzaghe's punches didn't often tell much when seen on tv. Plus gavin was always on the back foot and ALWAYS moving, so he didn't load up as much. That's my take on it.

Gavin needs to get a more pro style. He is still great to watch though. Even though he didn't look great here, if you can't appreciate some of the things he is doing in there, then you are not a fan of boxing.

Gavin needs to get himself down to light-welter again. I don't think he he carries the power to hang with the best welters out there. I don't think people should look at this performance and simply criticise Gavin. I would say this was Good performance by Woodhouse, I think he's come along well. I think Gavin just needs to let his hands go a little more, He obviously has world class skills.

He wants to work at light welter and also use those skills better-he is in danger of becoming like Witter-all the skills but has flaws and also lets fights slip away from him
@richandgaz he definatly should be at light welter and spend a good two years developing his game at that weight. he needs to work on conditioning anmd strength over a long period and then move up to welter weight with extra muscle in the right places.
like you say he has the talent but seems to be wasting it. i think he might pull him self together now though cus he sounded very dissapointed with himself in his last interview.

Gavin needs to get a more pro style. He is still great to watch though. Even though he didn't look great here, if you can't appreciate some of the things he is doing in there, then you are not a fan of boxing.
