@AvirtualSwitzerland You can always throw the lettuce / tomatoes in at the end. I've done it that way lots of times too! And use less oil (or none) for a lower-calorie meal.
@mreae good ideas! Often I use little to no oil & it's almost as good! And putting the lettuce/tomatoes in at the end is something a lot of people prefer too.
@CharlieKarate Ummmm . . . no. I was responding to AvirtualSwitzerland's comment. Check out that comment and you'll see what I meant to respond to. And duh, I know my username shows up under my comment.
@mreae Yes you did. You commented, "You can always throw the lettuce / tomatoes in at the end. I've done it that way lots of times too! And use less oil (or none) for a lower-calorie meal." then also commented, "good ideas! Often I use little to no oil & it's almost as good! That looked good! Would you like to post it on the StoveTopHero channel? we are just starting a little mexican video recipe competition. You would be perfect. Just go to StoveTopHero and click on the comments, there are some instructions there.
@franciscome1 Well, I call it a taco. And I'm stubborn. So I will continue to call it a taco because every taco I ever eat has sour cream, lettuce and tomatoes and cheese. Without all that stuff I wouldn't want it!
Those look good! The tortillas look like flour; I usually use corn. I'll try it the way you made them. I usually add tomato sauce the way you do. I'm going to fix them for lunch today!
And BTW, electric stoves are fine to use, Nameless 827. The newer ones can heat up just as fast and be regulated just as well as gas stoves.
Something else I like to add is fresh cilantro. I'm a cilantro freak. I can eat it by the bunch! I also make a simple pico de gallo using fresh tomatoes, green onions, cilantro, jalapeno , lime juice and salt to taste. Very simple and tasty.
I ate soooo many tacos today- I'm totally satisfied.
Dude I didnt think any idiot would ever need a how-to video, or even a recipe for tacos, but you have proved me wrong after watching this. And electric stoves suck dick dude get a gas.
I usually put it on about 4 or 5. I let the pan heat up a little first. If it's TOO hot, the tacos will cook really fast. If it's too cool, they'll take forever & the veggies will get mushy.
No, that's not true at all. When you cook something at a high temp in oil, it gets crispy. For instance, watch the guys at McDonalds cook their fries. Right out of a vat of oil. And they're not soggy.
Wherever did you get such a great recipe??? My grandpa always made tacos JUST LIKE THAT and I've never seen anyone outside our family do it. Amazing!!!!! :)
Well, my mom made tacos like this when I was growing up and my grandpa made tacos like this too so I always make my tacos like this as well! It's the best! It's simple and the tacos are best tacos in the world!

try using a kitchen towel and dip it into some oil, wipe it around the bottom of the pan.. coz too much oil = soggy taco.
