Use a clip where it has a main colour in the back ground such as blue or green for the sky or grass and use the chroma keyer the get ride of it and adjust the settings so it looks good. Then take the same clip apart from with no editing on it and put it underneath the edited clip. Then add an effect to either of the clips :)x
